Is anyone familiar with Gemini Venus? I've got it, but I'm still unfamiliar with its tendencies. Does this mean I'm attracted to Gemini's?

miss,

Gemini (thinking, also talking) modifying Venus (relationships) indicates you might like to have "talking" relationships...relationships that involve conversation in some way. As long as people have "talking" energy in their chart, whether or not they are a Sun-sign Gemini, you may find you have a certain interest in "relating" with them in some way or another.

Talking,

Tim

hey missneptune,
I've got a gemini in venus (in the 12th). wilsontc is bang on about having a "talking" relationship. I find this esp. true going out on a date for example. If my date does not talk or is boring to talk with then I find it really hard to go anywhere further. I also appreciate "light" kind of relationships, just having light hearted fun.
As for who you attract, (I'm assuming your female), take a look at your mars sign/house and also what your decendant is.
I think these are better indicators on whom you attract but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers

as for me, i'm attracted to intelligent types. i have this too, venus in gemini in the 12th, just like gem-sag does.
i'm into intelligence and modesty in men.
but you should look at your mars sign and house since you're a female.
i've never been attracted to geminis...

Gemini Venus here (conjunct Mars/Sun/Merc) and Tim is spot on! I need brains/humor/interest and charisma in a man. If it's not there, they can be beautiful, rich and whatnot - I won't be attracted.

Venus in Gemini:

In Gemini, Venus generates a need for a variety of experiences. You have a curiosity about people. You can become a social butterfly and something of a flirt. Open and friendly, your wit and conversational ability attract people with agile minds and keen intellects.

Your restless and fickle nature inclines toward much travel and change of surroundings. A delightful sort of charm and expressiveness works well for you, if you can avoid a tendency to become a little bit superficial socially. You want to taste all that life has to offer. You find it especially hard to settle down to just one romantic relationship, preferring to make friends with everyone you meet.

You have an excitable child-like attitude toward romance, approaching affairs with optimism and high-expectations. Yet encounters may be many and brief before you finally settle down. You are easily bored and it is hard to capture you romantic attention for long periods of time. Change and excitement is the spice of your love life, and a partner that doesn't understand this won't be around long.

Mental stimulation the simple joy of being together is an absolute must for any relationship to have a chance of becoming permanent. With Venus in Gemini, you may not be able to be tied down too tightly. If you marry too young or to someone who is possessive, you may have serious problems. Your partner must understand your need for variety in social matters. After you marry and settle down, you may still need a variety of friends and social contacts.

Venus in Gemini is similar (since it is the opposite) to Venus in Sag (my venus placement). It is also indicative of a person that can have multiple lovers / relationships going at the same time. That's fine as long as you are upfront with people and let them know where you are coming from.

What pidaua posted is dead-on. My mother has this placement and is heavily into books and art (to the exclusion of all else, but she gets some help from that merc-venus conjunct in Gem). That said, I haven't met anyone yet who knows this much about world literature and art from all the different periods.

I've also had some friends with this placement who had some of the same qualities. One of the main points about venus in gem is that you get bored with emotional/romantic encounters pretty fast and it'll take a while before you find someone you feel like settling down with. (Shouldn't be a problem unless you run into someone with obsessive tendencies along the way).

That's one thing that has NEVER been true for me. I can multitask in so many areas but I can't concentrate on more than one person emotionally (in love relationships).

I got my Venus in Gemini too,but in the 10th House so i guess any airy tendencies in love are kinda "repressed" here.

I agree with Duality,i might be able to multitask in projects, but not in personal affairs.

Humor is a HUGE must in a man

It depends on so many factors.
I also have Gemini venus.
I wouldn't describe my self as a flirt or person with many love interest. I have Cappy ASC, Leo sun.
I do love to talk with my partner, mostly about politics.
I also have tendency to write love notes, letters (very Gemini), and I think that my Gemini venus represent my love for literature and writing, and since venus is ruler of my 9th house (higher education) it was my major in college.
My boyfriend also have venus in gemini.
He always compliments my nails or shoulders. He's a shoulder guy- that's also Gemini.

Hey Taurus80,
I also have gem in venus in the 12th. How do you feel the 12th house influences your venus? I find it hard to pin-point what the 12th house is doing to my venus here(I guess the 12th can be like that sometimes =)) I also think that there are other areas of my chart that might influence this position.

Cheers

Hey Taurus80,
Here's a few things a found on venus in 12th. I may have trouble defining which parts of my chart are inflenced by other 12th house planets and which are venus related or influenced by something else.
www.astro.com
Venus was in the twelfth house at the time of birth.
Only those very close to you have a hint of the little known facets of your personality. Regardless of the way you speak and express yourself, when you are alone, relaxed, and free of worry, you can have a sociable and congenial temperament that runs alongside a generous, kind, and attractive character.
This astrological combination may lead you into clandestine love affairs. Unless you use a great amount of tact and diplomacy, these secret affairs may create social complications that force premature termination.
www.cafeastrology.com
You often hide your affection, or find your feelings difficult to express or get across to the person you love. Being openly affectionate and trusting often doesn't seem safe to you. You may feel your love won't be appreciated or reciprocated. You may get involved in secret love affairs or fall in love with a person who is quite unavailable to you. Love and sacrifice often seem to go hand in hand for you - having to give something up to be with the one you love, or having to relinquish some person or some aspect of an important love relationship.
+You can appreciate the difficulties of others and be understanding of the problems they may be having. You value a certain amount of self-sacrifice and a giving attitude. You can discriminate between superficiality and the reality beneath them it.

Cheers
