In a few months I'll be getting uranus conjunct venus and uranus square uranus happening simultaneously. Astro's def just warns of impending doom but isn't very specific. Has anyone gone through either or both of these? I'm interested in what happened to you and how you handled it. Whatever information you have will be greatly appreciated!

Uranus square Urnaus occurs twice in one's lifetime; at around mid to late 20's and late 50's to early 60's.

In the first one , the panets are seperating, and this marks your coming of age, your moving from childhood into adulthood. You have left the cocoon of your immediate family and moved into establishing our own place in life. At the very least you have taken on responsibility for yourself, and it can be quite a disturbing time, while at the same time exhilarating. You probably feel that you can be and do anything in your life that you want during that time.

The second Square is a when Uranus is moving back towards a conjunction with itself, and causes you to look back over your life and reflect on what you could have accomplished. It is a very personal evaluation, based on how you feel internally about our growth, not how others feel about it. If the self-evaluation does not reflect favorably on your efforts, you may decide to actively make some changes in your life. People often retire or change jobs completely under this effect. What ever you do, you will do it in a way that will allow you to get enjoyment out of it. Working for the old mighty buck just won’t appeal to you any more.

I suspect that the first case reflects your situation.

The effects of Uranus Conjunct Venus can be quite spectacular. You will feel a deep need to seek new freedom and excitement through your intimate relationships. If you are currently in a relationship and it's not fulfilling your inner needs, you may want to break away from its rigid expectations and find a new and fresh relationship. However, you may find that the old relationship can be made over if both of you are willing, and become that new exciting relationship you crave. Every relationship settles into routines after a time, but good ones can re-ignite the passion and feelings that they started with, if both individuals care enough about each other. The nature by which your relationship can be renewed depends upon your temperament and needs. Whichever way you go, your need for a deep and passionate relationship right now will not let you stay in a status quo type relationship. By the time this aspect is pasted, you will make the changes you need in this area of your life.

So you see, neither of these aspects is a gloom or doom situation that some may have you thinking that they are. Uranus's job is to get you off of the dime, so to speak, to get you living again in a new and more involved manner.

Good luck, I've been through both Uranus Squares, and benifited from my experiences.

Lanny

I had Uranus conjunct Venus for the better part of of last year. It just slipped out of conjunction in late January.

I think the only effect it had on me was getting out of a relationship the same week the conjunction took affect (and that the relationship started. )

That, and I'd been pretty spacey, too.

lllog, thanks for the info. Maybe there'll be something positive to come out of that. (I better check to make sure Uranus doesn't retrograde while it's moving through mid-Pisces).

nove, do you see getting out of that relationship as something good that you wished would've happened or something unexpected that you were dreading?

It was a good thing.

The only reason I was really in it was because she liked me. I didn't really like her. I don't..."swing" that way. Heh. I got suckered in by the fact that someone actually liked me. It wasn't fair to me or her.

How does a planet aspect itself?

Aha, I've had that happen to me too. Curiously there was a venus uranus opposition in the composite too. At least that's good news on it ending without anyone really getting hurt.

Lynx, a planet can aspect itself when the current (transiting) planet makes an aspect to its natal self in your birth chart. Say you were born with the moon in 15 degrees cancer. Once a month the moon returns to that position in the zodiac. That's when you get a moon conjunct moon aspect.
