I was just kinda wondering about this. I don't really expect any philosophical, indepth thoughts about this, lol. I'm suffering from a case of Boredom and Sick During Spring Break:

Most recently, I discovered that my Best Friend of 4 years is in fact NOT a Capricorn ASC. His father told me that he was born at around 9:30-11:00. (I know.. that's a large spectrum to work with, lol) I immediately thought he meant AM. I then talked to his mother before my friend left for Arizona, and she says it's 11pm. Great. I've been living a lie, lol.

But that doesn't really matter [it's what's inside that counts, isn't it?].

Some things do make sense now:

Sag Sun in 4th House
Aqua Moon in 7th House

It explains his reserved nature that I could never really explain- astrologically...

Anyways, what's interesting is that his placements are [somewhat] inverted to mine.

Cancer Sun in the 9th House
Scorpio Moon in the 1st House

He is...
Sag Sun in the 4th House
Aquarius Sun in the 7th House

Would "inverted" placements such as the above signify "best friends"? OR would it be the case of opposites attract?

Note: We are not dating. However, I have a feeling that he does like me. Romantically. But that's a whole different story.

MoonPixie, looks like you have a point there.

Three of my best friends have:

1) Asc in 13 deg Capricorn (conjunct mine by 0 degrees) but sun sign Cancer, sun-opposite sign but not by aspect

2) Asc in 29 deg Cancer (directly opposite my sun) and sun sign Aries. That second friend will have the solar eclipse going on during his b-day too, can't wait to ask him what happened

3) Asc in 26 deg Aries squaring my sun, sun and venus between 29' Cancer and 5' Leo, directly opposite my sun

Plenty of oppositions there. Looks more like mutual reception with your friend though, by sign+house placement.

I'm an Aries Sun/Sagittarius Moon/Virgo Rising. (7th House Sun/3rd House Moon)

1.) My former best friend. Really only former, because we drifted apart...He's a Scorpio Sun/Libra Moon/Sagittarius Rising. (11th House Sun/10th House Moon)

2.) Another of my best friends is a Cancer Sun/Libra Moon/Scorpio Rising. (8th House Sun/11th House Moon)

3.) My other best friend though, is drastically different. She's a Virgo Sun/Gemini Moon/Aquarius Ascendant. (7th House Sun/3rd House Ascendant)

Number 1 and I have a double whammies with each other. The two most powerful being Moon conjunct Ascendant, and Venus trine Sun.

Number 2 and I have very few aspects with each other. It's a case where astrology fails me. Based on charts, I would never have seen a friendship, or anything more than an acquaintance in her.

Number 3 and I have a Moon opposite Moon aspect, and also an Ascendant inconjunct Ascendant.
