i dont experience love at first sight too often....ive only felt it twice...maybe it wasnt love maybe someone from a past life, just a feeling of familiarity and attraction..its an odd rare feeling indeed..but nothing ever came of it because i was too cautious to make the first move...is it real? has anyone experienced it? is there any ASTROLOGICAL aspects for LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?
any input is appreciated..
thanks

Hi Shop,
The Pluto-Venus synastry can be an indicator for love at first sight. Metaphysically, the resonating of the heart chakras of two people causes love at first sight. It is real.

I had a venus conj. pluto with someone before...in synastry...and IT WAS BORING...i think there was too much familarity with each other, like when we kissed it felt as thought we've kissed millions of times like maybe we were married in another life....i wouldnt doubt it...

It has to be synastry. And preferably a double whammy Pluto-Venus aspect.

Boring to kiss someone with whom one shares an eternal relationship ??????!!!!!
Lovers wait for centuries for this to happen.
Then again, a few lifetimes separated from the eternal spouse will help appreciate him/her even more in the appropriate lifeline.

Ok, lets say you have Venus in 10 Libra and Pluto in 7 Scorp.

You meet someone with Venus in 7 Scorp and Pluto in 29 Libra.

Synastrically, only Pluto-Venus conjunction exists. Indicating past life marriage/love/infatuation.

However, if someone has Pluto in 10 Libra and Venus in 7 Scorp, it is a Double Whammy because the conjunctions exist from one to another for the same set of planets.
Such a person HAS to be your eternal spouse by the law of probability, I wrote that before.
1/360 x 1/360 x 1/360 x 1/360 chance of this occurance happening by random chance.

Yes, trine, sextile, quindecile, quintile and septile will also work.

Ok, I will let you in on another aspect.
Asteroid Valentine making a double whammy to Venus, Mars, Pluto, Neptune or True Node.

My Valentine ( according to Astro list, it's number 447) conjuncts my hubbie's Eros.. don't suppose that means anything?

Pixel, hush!
This is a big secret.
Soemthing to feel happy at from the inside. Most astrologers wont accept it as relevant.

All I can tell you and your hubby is Silently Rejoice

I will also fearlessly add that this placement had a hidden hand in helping you both come out of a crisis some months back.

Celebrating each other will be even better now because once you are aware of an astrological placement, the positive energy is allowed to magnify itself.

Thanks for that, IQhunk...
Thats true, the more you learn and study something, the more focus it takes, the more you see it manifest in your life.
Which sorta' sucks, because when i find new tools, like these asteroids you've shown me, and interpretaions, I compare my chart with those of people I know... I compared one now, and someon's Valentine is conjunct my Venus by degree.. right on it, and my Eros conjuncts his Sun
My Vesta conjuncts his moon and venus, his eros conjuncts my Pluto.. His Mars conjunct my Sun... etc.
I choose to ignore it.
I shall focus on the good stuff I know of.
But it's interesting to note, he has a crush on me, though I see him as a friendship.

<<But it's interesting to note, he has a crush on me, though I see him as a friendship>>

99% of males on Earth will have a crush on you, so you will gain much more by looking at all aspects from the spiritual side.

Note: The remaining 1% are gay....

I think there is such thing as attraction/lust/desire at first sight.. but not enough affection to really call it LOVE. It may feel like love but personally I don't think it is.. not at first sight.

Love at first sight is often noted with Venus and Uranus contacts....this is a 'sudden' connection and does not mean it is necessarily part of the synastry....

The transit of Venus to your natal Uranus-or other person's Uranus (or transit Uranus to Venus) can indicate 'Love at first sight'.

Venus-Mars energy is different as is Venus-Pluto. Uranus and Venus are the MAIN keys when looking for this unusual feeling of SUDDEN LOVE connection!!

I agree with Lauren...Ven/Plu shows up as supportive synastry and the lust brought on by Ven/Mars is not the main aspect if you want to build a long-term relationship. The electric vibe when meeting someone who makes you stop in your tracks is undeniable....it happens! Then, you must look at the synastry if you want and sneak an early peek at your new-found interest!! **Usually I do not look at the astro until I have made my own decision...much later on I review the charts. My intuition rules over astro....funny thing though, the astro always supports!

Uranus-Venus is the charm!!

How close are your BDays?

Since this is a thread on Love...Would you say you are still in Love (and Happy) after so many years together?
Interesting...you didn't mention Love within your list...

Also, when you are born close in date to each other's age, there will be more conjunctions. These will be the same conjunctions you will have with most people your age.

are birthdays are 3 monthes apart.

still in love, yes,
this post is the most ive written on our synastry.i think im kinda weird in that i want it to be just mine i m ok posting technical info. on aspects in regards to he and i but i usually leave it at that.
to describe it, its like a deep devoted complex, unbreakable bond .
happy, yes but there has been pain as well. love that hasnt shed some tears is not love.
when you marry young you dont know who you are yet , you grow into your individuality, so we really have grown up together.
that is the strength of "us" i think, the laughter, tears, rich, poor, growing, evolving up.............together

"love that hasnt shed some tears is not love"

What very wise and moving words you speak....

My husband and I have moved each other to tears quite a lot of late.....and we have never been so close as we are now....even tho it felt like going to hell and back.

Yes true love and tears, I feel, go hand in hand...

Lovely post Devilfish.....very touching....

Lauren,

Don't think venus-mars aspects are so good and venus-pluto so bad. I've seen a lot of trouble come out of venus-mars aspects. They're shallow and pretty boring dynamics-wise. Also there's an intense element of selfishness involved. Sure they'll get you in bed but there's nothing more to it. Venus-pluto ones actually have more substance to them and make the relationship itself feel more 'real' which keeps everyone happy. To me venus-pluto is an indication of something special going on where venus-mars is just trouble.

GemStar,

interesting take on venus-uranus. Have you had anything with that aspect work out? I've seen it in action more than once and it's been the people being very excited by each other one week but having totally forgotten anything ever happened two weeks later. Maybe it's good for initial impressions though.

Devilfish-Excellent! Glad to know you are growing together.

jkxx-

Since the post was titled 'Love at FIRST sight'....that was the response that I felt answered it astrologically.

Yes, Uranus-Venus contacts-especially the conjunction can be responsible for that First Sight=Love (initially)....HOWEVER, it is the remainder of the synastry which tells the tale.

Different people need different things when it comes to Love. Some people need conflict to feel Love....others believe that sex is the primary role of Love....the list goes on and on.

Venus-Pluto rocks! Venus-Mars would not be my first choice in deciding if the relationship is a 'GO' or not...lots of people get excited when they find this synastry and often tend to overlook the 10+ other really challenging aspects!

You have to KNOW what works for YOU in a healthy manner...learning to recognize the differences between healthy and unhealthy Love is where many people get lost....(whoops...getting off topic sorta!!)
