Since you have Jupiter (expansion, also opportunity, wisdom) conjunct (energy is combined with) your Descendant (others), you may get opportunities or understanding through the others around you. But how you use your opportunities or understanding...that's up to you, not your chart!

Why would Aqua on the DSC be perceived as "not a good thing"?? 1/12th (or so) of the people on the planet probably have Leo Rising as you and I do.

I LIKE my Aqua DSC! I enjoy relationships (platonic & romantic) with unusual (read: Uranian) personalities -- I don't find the "normal" very fulfilling And above-average intelligence (read: airy/intellectual Aqua attributes) is essential to keep me interested.

And one of my favorite quotes goes something like this: "Astrology is just a way of recognizing potential. What you DO with that potential is UP to YOU!"

Another Aquarian Desc. here. I agree with all you've just said, especially the bit about being able to enjoy all different sorts of relationships and you just 'know' when you meet someone if its gonna be forever platonic or something more.
