I have venus-uranus square which seems to indicate that I need freedom and would not appear to want commitment? I really don't feel that deep down, this is what is going on w/ me, and I think I am motivated to marry (again) and have children (w/ sun and venus in 7th house). The guy with whom I've been "involved" and have based alot of my astrological studies on (our synastry, etc.), he has venus-uranus trine and would therefore be more at ease with relationships, yet I see him as the commitmentphobe. And in our synastry, we have venus trine uranus. I know there are all of the other aspects in natal and synastry at play. But I'm interested in isolating this one for discussion.

This is just my example. Don't want to make this a thread about "me" but rather out this particular aspect and its influence on relationships, commitments, and such.

Love this site! It's alot better than any other I've found, for serious, more complex discussions on astrology!

.. i don't think venus / uranus is a case of not wanting a commitment ..
.. may be a case of not wanting the potential responsibilties that go with ( a particular ) commitment ..

In our Synastry his Uranus is conj both my Venus & Uranus. From my chart as focal point, I only have my Uranus conj his Uranus.

He and I have been together for 5+ years. We've been living together for just 1 year now. We have a sort of unconventional relationship I guess since neither of us really plan on marrying each other (at least in this point of our lives). We're great friends. Very passionate lovers in the beginning, but now that the limmerance has worn off, it's more heart energy than sex! We are very different from each other (in more ways than 1) and any on-lookers might wonder why we're together. I think that this actually helps our staying factor. Maybe due to the fact we both have these signs in Scorpio is where the loyalty & commitment comes from. I have noticed that a lot of my close friends have a Venus/Uranus conjunction!!

I know you guys have the square & trine aspects but I hope this lil story of mine might help in some way
