Very interesting read!
I have a mars-saturn conjunction (about one degree in the 5th) in scorpio. And they are both trine my Asc and MC and sextile to jupiter in capricorn.
However, I am female so I guess a lot of this is what I project to others. Many have told me that I am too uptight/disciplined/self controled etc. (Which is funny b/c I have a lot of Gemini and Sagittarius influences)
In relationships-I have a HUGE fear of rejection and scared to get too close, but I do want to dominate the realtionship and I need to be in control.
As for growing up, I did not know my real father, but everytime my mom had a boyfriend that we lived with I HATED them all sooooo much, and still do..but honestly they never really did anything to me personally, but I just hold a big grudge against them.
I also have mars and saturn in retrograde and I think this keeps some of the anger inside..whether this is good or bad I think it depends on the situation.
Speaking of role playing, I'm in the military in a unit with mostly guys and when I was a kid I would hang out with the boys more lol.
Sometimes this aspect is useful or I find it a big pain in the *ss! Depends on what I am doing

This was really good HD, thanks. I have the square. Except I don't think I always attract cruelty by projecting. I didn't really have a harmonious relationship with my father when I was younger. He was alot harder than me than on my sister. I think I've wanted to "punish" guys (that I've been with) for that in a way. What I did was hold grudges...frig it, I still hold grudges, that will never change.

*Interestingly enough, my father has a moon-saturn square in his chart.

That was a very good read!

I have Saturn Square Mars--I'm a female. I' haven't had much experience in relationships yet, but I know that I have some...er...sexual inhibitions. Sex just seems yucky!

And my family--oh god, don't even go there. I dont know my father, my first stepdad was alcoholic, and the one now, my second--is verbally abusive. It's his fault I haven't gone out with any guys yet. Sniff.

I suppose I am angry? Maybe. I thought I wasn't, but then sometimes I do get really angry--especially with my parents. Hmf.

Interesting. I have Saturn sextile Mars and I definitely had a difficult relationship with my dad when I was growing up. Thank God for therapy!!

Does this mean the same thing for Mars square Saturn? Or does it only work the one way, Saturn square Mars?

Hmmm, had to edit after taking a second look... I have Saturn conjunct Mars as well but, I don't know..? .... My dad is one of my dearest friends, I've never had any issues regarding sex... though I did wait for my heart to feel the way to the right person and, time... I'm not one to fight but, do tend to end up abusing myself in some way,( by this, I mean that I physically end up hurt, due to my own rediculous fit ), when I do have a 'blow-out' ~ ( those, however, I attribute more to Uranus' square to Mars ). I have always been shy, even with a Gemini Sun but, having a Scorpio Asc, trine Saturn to boot, I suspect would do that anyway. My Moon trines Saturn too... hmmm, maybe the Grand Trine therein has helped to alter this aspect, in my chart...

Shirty~ that's the same thing, same aspect.

I have just realized this guy has mars quincux saturn, after reading this and looking back at his chart. He has signs of insecurity and being self-doubting so this definitely matches up. ALSO, his real father has not been in his life since a very young age and was adopted by his mom's new husband. So, this article is good info.
