Hi Tim, Have you read the works of Dane Rudhyar and Carl Payne Tobey ? If so, what is your opinion on them ? I saw a brilliant critique of Robert Hand's approach from you, so any view would on the works of these two would be invaluable. Thanks in advance!IP: Logged |

Iq,I have not read the works of Carl Payne Tobey. My challenge with Dane Rudhyar has been in finding PRACTICAL learning from his works. I read what he has to say, but soon I start skimming it, looking desperately for some idea, principle, thought, glimmer, that I can use and apply and teach to others to use and apply as a tool for self-development. Although Dane's teachings are interesting, they seem to always "slip out of my hands" so, after I am finished reading, I think to myself, "What did I just read?"...and I haven't the SLIGHTEST idea! Reading Rudhyar, Tim IP: Logged |

Yes, it is very heavy reading but I feel I am finally "getting it" to a certain extent. However, whether it can be easily taught to others??? I plan to distill the main points someday.IP: Logged | |
