Hi, I have a strange question and I dont know if it's been discussed before...

If an asteroid has the same name as your birth name and it conjuncts your Moon and squares your ascendant, does that have any significant bearing?

And when looking at asteroids in synastry, what is the tolerated orb for aspects between asteroids? How about between planets and asteroids?

Thanks for all of your invaluable help!

Asteriod that has the same name as yours conjunct Moon gives you Cancerian qualities, much more Cancerian traits, than your natal chart would suggest. Its square to ASC may be indicative of some difficulties with self-expression.
Check where it falls in natal charts of your loved ones, you might find it interesting

Thank you for the information.

My Moon is in the 4th in Cancer conjuncting the asteroid with my name...it's very interesting because even though I am a Sun sign Scorp with three planets in Scorp, I do tend to feel and react more like a Cancer.

I have to think about that square to the Ascendant, though...difficulties with self-expression...hmm, I don't know about that one...

Thanks again.

Hi Lady Macbeth,
Peri's answer is perfect!

Regarding orbs, I use a 4 degree orb (+/- 2 degrees) for asteroid aspects.

Additionally, I have this link for you if you are still into researching alternate cancer treatments: www.cancertutor.org
It is more comprehensive than just additional Vitamin C in the diet and will be of maximum benefit for your friend.

You're wonderful, IQHunk.

Thank you for remembering...and for taking the time to post the info for my friend. He actually did end up doing some form of Vitamin C therapy, but it was coupled with chemo treatment. He finished his last treatment session on Friday and is doing really well.

Bless your heart.
