I was wondering which transits can make you feel the need to escape from reality soo bad??

It's like I don't want to face real life...!!-The thing is, I don't do this often, but since a few days I'm escaping from responsibilities and real life stuff... (ex: not going to college, or studying, just wondering around and listening to music)

I'm too dreamy.

Usually I'd feel bad, 'cuz when I know I have work or exams, I can't rest so easily... but since a few weeks, It's like I don't care...

I checked my transits (keepin' in mind Neptune) but nothing new came...

Nep square Mars- I've got this one for months...

Wonder if this ever happen to any of you?

red,

You answered your own question! Transiting (planets in the sky) Neptune (spirituality, also confusion) square (energy needs to be combined with) Mars (being, also action) can indicate a time of being confused about what actions to take. This is a LONG transit as you know, so, for quite awhile it may be difficult to take actions. It might help during this time to simply have faith that, whatever actions you take, they will be the right and necessary ones for the situation.

Confusedly active,

Tim

Neptune conj my Sun has always given me a dreamy stoned feeling......

At times it has literally felt impossible for me to keep my feet on the ground and get things done.

Luckily aries on the ascendant gives me quite a lot of go ahead....if that wasnt present I would have drifted off to another planet long ago.....!!!!

redbubblesbleed -

Hi.

I know how that feels.

Just know that there are all sorts of experiences,
thoughts and feelings to be encountered in this life.

This too shall pass.

And what seems incomprehensible
or unimaginable from one perspective,
seems perfectly obvious from another.

Our minds enshroud and enlighten us.
We can spend years anticipating
and puzzling over supposed difficulties,
circuitously traversing molehills
(as if they were truly imposing mountains),
searching for the thing which will bring happiness, -
only to discover it in the smallest,
unlikeliest of places.

(It seems as if life only begins at that moment,
and the rest must just look like some absurd waste of time,
but "past is prologue";
and, every time we looked in the "wrong" places,
weren't we really being clued in?)

Or, perhaps, one day,
when we have grown tired and forgotten our search altogether,
suddenly, there we find ourselves,
surrounded by the fruits and artifacts
of our labors and travels,
enriched by, and grateful for, every one.
Not because they brought us answers, -
far from it! -
but because we've come to truly love the QUESTions,
and the part we've had to play,
not in conquering,
but enduring (never ceasing to confront, and be changed by) them.

Astrologically,...

There are so many combinations of factors
which would easily conduce an experience
like the one you described.

Lack of earth in the chart, w/ lots of air and fire,
can create a sense of alienation from the body
(particularly on the 1st and 2nd houses).
Water can make that alienation
a cause for genuine anguish.

Challenging aspects to (or from) the planets
that rule the 8th and/or 12th house(s),
or planets located in those houses.
Perhaps even a trine aspect,
as it could conceivably make the energy
flow so freely, that it is not easily
contained within the body.

ANY close aspect(s) involving ANY of the outer planets,
especially if there is already an indicated predisposition.

Neptune Square Mars sounds accurate.
What houses do they rule in your chart?

Remember, the transiting aspect is only close
for one or two, maybe three weeks at a time.
This happens only two or three times,
but over the course of several months.
Astro.com says it lasts the whole time,
but most of that is just the planet retrograding.

take good care,
hsc

Afraid of never knowing fear
Experience anything you need

I'm glad this was brought up. I know exactly how you feel; I've been feeling drop dead stoned, in a dreamy way (thanks for the phrase sue g) for a long long time.
Earth is really weak in my chart; I have Neptune in Capricorn and True Node in Taurus, that's it. The rest consists of Air/Water/Fire.

I feel I've wasted so much time and potential to do things these past couple of years, it's a crying shame... I desperately need some kind of resolution.

thxs for all your answers

breakfast on pluto,
lol, I do luv your nickname!!

Tim,
Thxs for your explanation!; yup, I knew my natal Mars was being square by Neptune since the year began... but I've felt this powerful need to escape from reality since a few days (or week) so I thought that maybe another transit was pressuring this kind of feeling.

By the way, I've taken a closer look at my transits... and guess what!?- Neptune transiting my 12th house, making a 4' degree conjunction with my ASC.
Makes a square with my MC 0'- and opposes my Mercury 4'

Jeez, now I understand why day after day, I'm being with my head in the clouds!! heh
Can't seem to focus on work or detailed stuff.

Hope this ends fast or things would end up bad... LOL

Sue G!
what you describe is exactly what I feel now

HSC-

hello!

Thank you -lots- for your beautiful and wise words

Well, usually, I don't feel this way- so I thought there could be some astrological transit triggerin' this feeling...

About your question, Neptune rules my 2nd house and Mars my 10th.

I've been so distracted that I lost two valuables things... a jacket and a ring.
It's not that they were very pricey, but they hold a special meaning for me.

I lost them last Saturday, I couldn't tell when or how. Jeez, sounds stupid, but it's true.

OOoh I really like that song, one of my fav! (Lounge Act)

Amaranthus!

hi, well glad someone is sharing this "dreamy experience" hehehe

You are from Norway?- jeez, that's kwel

re:
**I was wondering which transits can make you feel the need to escape from reality soo bad??**
you hit the nail on the head with nept to mars ..

i just had a short mars to neptune (conj saturn) by square .. i became physicaly very slothlike for three days .. below zero energy .. no motivation either .. not even to do something potentialy enjoyable .. .. well i guess certain activities may have found motivation .. .. .. with tNept aspecting natal mars i reckon your more likely to feel it when you get a shorter term transits ( keep an eye on them ) .. maybe dream about your future potential for travel and that potential realised through your career .. and take the more energetic phases within the nept/mars phase to work on your studies .. .. Nept once it has passed will not as far i can see 'retrograde' over that mars aspecting point .. although it does get close .. .. could be a bit of a fight now again not to become lazy and dreamy ..

**.. but I've felt this powerful need to escape from reality since a few days (or week) so I thought that maybe another transit was pressuring this kind of feeling.**
tVenus is a few degrees ( 3 ) off from squaring your sun .. that's another potential case of 'little energy' for a few days at its strongest point .. be also a close minor aspect by transit from mars to natal neptune .. and at this moment tMoon be opposite your mc (conjunct ic) .. .. wonder if there's an asteroid called sloth or lazydreamyone :-)

I used to be like that back in school and college. Never wanted to do what I was suppose to do, like do homework, learn for exams etc.
Now that I am working, it's completely different...

Yup, something connected to Neptune I presume....I used to have tNeptune conjunct Sun some years back when I was still in school. I was and still do live in dream world...but less so nowadays. You have to make an agenda and set out things that have to get done so that you can move on and physically live in this world,...and always do make sure to leave ample time for dream world too...but after you get all the errands out of the way, so that way you can enjoy your time away
