I don’t have a good link for part of fortune, but if you scroll down it gives a quick discription. http://www.astrologycom.com/parts.html

Where’s your Chiron, Jupiter and/or fortune and please discuss your feelings towards the houses they’re in and how they’ve affected you

Would anyone be so kind as to tell me how I can work out where my Part of Fortune is? The birth charts I've had done don't mention it. I'll happily then add to your great topic!

If anyone knows how and is very kind my birthdate is 16th November 1970, at 20.20, in Hull, England........

Chiron in Aries in the 11th:
Apparently I can teach people to be more selfishly humanitarian, or to work for themselves in a group? Seems like a conflict of interests, but upon reflection I can see myself being able to guide people to do that. I'm very into collaboration (Aqua MC), but I'm also a self-interested Capricorn. Kind of reminds me of charity fundraising. You've got a person selfishly looking for handouts for the cause, which ultimately help the greater good through the charity. At the beginning of this year I was hoping to get into non-profit fundraising for the cause of adoption, but starting a non-profit is pretty monumental, because you have to register as a non-profit EVERYWHERE you receive funds from (in order to offer the tax deduction people have come to expect from giving). That makes it very unlike starting a traditional business. Too bad, too, because I would have really gotten into that.

(Chiron squares my)
Jupiter in Capricorn:
In order to be lucky with Jupiter in Capricorn you have to be steadfast and disciplined and in it for the long haul. Shortcuts don't work for us. Organization and dedication are what make us lucky. Without either we can be unlucky.

Pars Fortunae in Aqua in the 10th:
Yeah, I could definitely find happiness, natural tranquility, and express my innate abilities making a career out of humanitarianism. That's not hard for me to see at all. (I just noticed it trines Uranus [5 degrees], and nearly trines Saturn [12 degrees] as well. It's about 6 degrees away from the midpoint of the two. Very Aquarian.)

Cool Thread WN!

My Chiron is in Gemini in the 12th.

quote:
Chiron in the 12th house: As always, Chiron shows where we can do more for others than ourselves. A 12th house Chiron may compulsively try to take care of the poor the sick, and the unfortunate while neglecting their own needs and those of their own family.
- bobmarksastrologer.com

I wouldn't call it compulsive. I do want to take care of anyone who has problems, that includes my family. I wouldn't say I completely neglect my own needs though, it depends. I do put others first, and I try to understand them but I don't think I neglect myself in the process. Though there have been times in my life when I helped someone loads only to find out I was taken advantage of.

My Jupiter is Pisces in the 10th. I think this interpretation is similar, still about saving the world lol I philosophize a lot about most spiritual things. Sometimes it drives ppl crazy. I think way too much - Mercury's in Pisces to - daydream, daydream, daydream! I've always been lucky in career related things (though this has only involved studying, not an actual job.. so maybe it's more of a 9th house thing).

My Fortune is in Aries right on my Sun, in the 11th.

quote:
where one finds happiness, prosperity and natural tranquillity, expressing innate abilities

Innate abilities, guess so.. I mean my Sun is there lol It's hard to tell where my Sun ends and PoF starts. My Venus is in the 11th as well. There is a wacky Aquarian side to me, though the Aquas I know are pretty different personality wise.. but the craziness is there. I could see prosperity and tranquillity coming from humanitarian pursuits (11th).. or through Arien things like more exercise, sport etc. Or maybe a team (11th) sport (Aries).

Hiya my favorite mermaid!! Curious what possessed you to meld these three interps….. ??
How do you feel about your Jove dignified in the 9th?? And your PoF nearly exactly conj your Moon??
Well, I’ll play.....
None of the 3 aspect each other in my natal…..

Chiron in Cappy, 5th house –
BH Clow wrote “Chiron's house placement may show where our earthly physical drives and desires could conflict with pulls towards something transcendent, pure and divine.” Capricorn has to do with our ability to control and organize. Chiron here can make you over organized and compulsively controlling. Conversely, there could be rebellion against being organized at all. As always, Chiron seems to do best when aimed outward, toward others. This is a good placement for an efficiency expert, or for someone whose career involves helping others organize things.
Gawd, how I wish there was someone around to help ME organize things!!! “over-organized” is at the other end of the universe from my home planet!!!

Here’s more on Chiron in the signs: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008550.html
And the houses: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005866.html

Jupiter in Gemini, 10th house –
“It is natural for you to put your practical and managerial abilities to work. You can make a career out of your keen organizational skills and clear insight into how things work. Supervision and taking charge are your trademarks.”
Enough with these keen organizational skills, already!!!

Pars Fortunae in Aries, 8th house –
Out-of-sign conjunction with Pisces Moon, handle of my bucket and apex of my Yod….. probably a beneficial placement….. and ooooh, expressing my innate abilities here could be really transcendental

Here’s a fun link to an Arabic Parts calculator: http://www.noendpress.com/pvachier/arabicparts/index.php
And what cafeastrology has on Fortuna: http://www.cafeastrology.com/partoffortune.html

And some good PoF interps: http://members.aol.com/terriastro/fortune.htm
“The sign that the Moon is in at birth describes our emotional nature. In addition, the moon represent our habitual response patterns and conditioned or instinctual reactions to the circumstances of our lives. Much can be gleaned about a person by knowing the sign placements of the Ascendant, Sun and Moon. And it is because the Part of Fortune is derived from these three very significant points that it represents that place in the horoscope where one's fortune will be realized when there is a refusal to compromise one's personal integrity.”
*In Aries*
Cultivate courage, inspiration and patience. You have an abundance of energy and need outlets of activity--focus your energy and you're the indomitable pioneer! Your joy is found in taking up the challenges and leaping over the obstacles. Your gifts are a keen focus and the ability to see your direction clearly. Trust your intuition.
*8th House*
Your greatest joy comes from rebirth. You experience joy each time you release that which is no longer of value, usefulness, or meaning to you. Cultivate openness to others and encourage others to share their deepest selves with you by sharing your deepest self with them. You understand what it means to be the Phoenix--and that death is just one experience within the cycle leading to rebirth.

Thanks for replying everyone, keep them coming!

“Jupiter, Fortune and Chiron, all in 11th house, all in Taurus.”

Love! Yours is interesting…I think Jupiter and PoF may make Chiron easier to handle for you. I know someone who’s got Jupiter in the 11th, and she has loads of friends. Are they all conjunct?

I've got Fortune in my 10th house, Jupiter and Chiron in my 8th...
Christina, you’re like Love…both Jupiter and Chiron are in the same house - which I *think* makes Chiron easier to deal with.

“Chiron in Aries in the 11th:

I did not know about this! Really surprises me

haha AG looks like it’s written in the stars, a unique career I‘m guessing…sounds very cool

Hi Lauren

I think that’s the beauty of astrology, it teaches us where we can better ourselves. My Chiron’s in the 3rd, issues with being heard…so I find myself shouting just so someone can listen to me.

“Hiya my favorite mermaid!! Curious what possessed you to meld these three interps….. ??”
I dunno, just the way my lopsided brain works! I was thinking about luck, and these 3 poped into my head.

“How do you feel about your Jove dignified in the 9th?? And your PoF nearly exactly conj your Moon??”
Not exactly certain. Academically I’ve always been blessed. I managed to get into the best schools and a great uni, as for the travel part…I dunno. Will have to go back packing sometime!

PoF, prolly has something connected with emotions and relationships/partnerships - which I still don’t understand…haha was hoping this string would help me.

“7th House
Your greatest joy comes from the committed relationships or partnerships you form with others. Your fortune is in unity. You have the gift of putting others in touch with their own sense of well-being and happiness. You are sensitive to the needs of others and have an innate sense of win-win diplomacy. Cultivate a union with your self and gift this world with that harmony. It is those people with whom you form committed relationships that will either highlight your path to fortune or bring your fortune to you.”
haha I’m not feelin’ this, my luck must be low :-o but I do find joy(PoF)/security(Moon) from relationships/partnerships.

Waternymph, hi and thank you so much for the help....you were right my fortune is in saggy in the 5th house!
In return I'll happily try and add to the discussion....

My chiron is in aries in the 9th house.
My jupiter is in scorpio in the 5th house.
My fortune is in saggy in the 5th house.

I definitely identify with this 5th house thing... (mine is full with what I thought were five planets but now with fortune in there it's six!!) I do feel alive when I write (I am a columnist and travel writer.) I am extremely creative ..... I am passionate and live and breathe creating. With my fortune in there I indeed hope that this writing will ultimately bring my greatest success.
The chiron in aries in the 9th I'm not sure how this works for me.

Thanks for a great topic waternymph!

Water Nympth ~ The only conjunction I have in Taurus is Jupiter conjunct P.Fortune, although Chiron and my Moon also reside in Taurus and the 11th house as well.

Jupiter is 20' 34 '2 degrees while P. Fort. is 21' 31' 11 degrees. (Oh yeah, I also have Eros and Amor stuck in there with my South Node too, but this house is getting full now)

No problem the link's discription of Chiron is a bit extreme O.o I have seen a good site about Chiron, will try to find it for you

I found this

“Jupiter conjunct Fortunae. Good luck is likely to bring you good fortunae and improve your standing and reputation in the world so you gain the respect of your peers.”
I thought reputation has something to do with the MC or Saturn, nonetheless it’s cool

I see where you are going with this, very interesting. I also thought you could add the asteroid talent, too.
I have: Part of Fortune in Scorpio 12th house
(conjunct Pallas, which I think is significant) and Jupiter in Virgo, tenth house (conjunct Pluto, Mars and Uranus).
I can't see that Chiron adds any luck in my chart at all... Pisces, 4th house.

Chiron Taurus, 12th house....this one has me utterly confused!!! (And it's laden with squares from Aquarius and Leo.

Jupiter Leo, 4th house. I understand better...and it opposes my Aquarius planets.

P.Fortune Cancer, 2nd/3rd house. Not sure about this one either. It aspects My Pisces Moon and Virgo Saturn beautifully though
