I have checked the wikipedia article about the UFC(Ultimate Fighting Championship-probably the most distinguished fighting tournament), and under the "Notable UFC fighters" I found 26 fighters with a disclosed birth date-out of these 26 8 were Sagittarians, that's double the number of the second most common sign-Cancer, who would have guessed?

Aren't they supposed to be light-hearted philosophers?

I have a Sag moon and a very fiery temper, but I'm Aries and my mars occupies the sign of Aries also.
Actually I can honestly say I do NOT go looking for fights, but when I've tried unsuccessfully to back out of one- I finish it!

Philosopher-Warriors

A Sag never quits, the are always fighting the good fight - thanks to their incredibly hopeful hearts and piercingly intelligent minds.

Dont mess with a Sag! He/She will take you down!! And then they will want to make up, and be friends again, if... a person doesnt take thier 'beating' too seriously. They never intend their tempers to be malicious, its just a roar of fire that will knock you off your feet - and its normally not an unjustified attack! If you have been on the end of such a Sag-attack, you probably deserved it, and as long as you have enough humility to get back up and not dwell on it for too long, you will probably find Sag lending their hand of assitance to you.

Sags!! Arnt they brilliant!?

The archer centaur? Oh, they don't mind mixing it up. You won't often find them starting a fight, but some enjoy ending them. A Sag at work told me as much. Yet another reason why Sags make the best right-hand men you can ask for.

Sag is known for being athletic! I think it's hilarious that Ted Nugent is an archer. He is truly a Sag. He just doesn't have the centaur body. He has his whole property set up for bow hunting.

I've seen him in concert a couple times. He puts on one heck of a show! You see his athletic ability when he does, or did, back flips off the speakers.

May be it's not so much about fighting per se ...As "light-hearted philosophers" they simply take it as a game, may be a bit rough but still, and Sags always play to win.

Cant think of that many sags I know or that I can think of off the top of my head. Except for a few Ive lost contact with and some family members, like my cousins' daughter (very rambunctious energy filled child...awww I was one of the first in the family whose name she was able to say ). Also keeping in the family, my dad's a Sag and was very fit when he was in his 20s...lol, he has pictures posing showing off his muscles like you've got MCM . But he was also pretty smart too...and yes philosophical. When I was a kid though I thought he was a nazi...had the foot in mouth disease, and bad temper. Looking at half of my baby and childhood pictures you could easily find me and then my father restraining me somehow so that I would stay put and so that I wouldn't go near my baby brother and hurt him "by accident" somehow, lol. I got the beats almost everyday. With age though I can say he's calmed down and turned into more of a philosopher type Sag.

Hee hee.... yes, we are known to mix it up and when we get competitive, watch out because we go ALL out...even if we lose, it is about the game.

We see many things like that- sports, sex, bantering etc.... For myself, I almost never hold a grudge against a person whether I am debating or competing in a game- unless they cheat.

LMAO... for some reason I missed that MCM pic and had the overwhelming desire to stick one of those wee carrots into his belly buttom LMAO... sorry... weird girl today.

I can see marsconjunctmercury's nipple!

Yeah,. I am super-not surprised to see Sags' propensity for skillful and challenging fights.. mind or otherwise.

I can see his nipple too!! MCM, you could grate cheese on those abs!

I've always been highly competitive, whilst at the same time reminding those who I'm competeing with that its essential that the fun not be taken out of the game!! Some see competitiveness as aggressive, whilst some see it as just part of the joy of playing! I think I adhere to the latter because of my Sag-like influences. Sun-Conj-Jup in 9th and Jupt conj MC, Mercury (asc ruler) in 9th, Nep conj IC in Sag.

I'm using 4 degree abs for the above aspects... I mean orbs.
