With divorce being such an easy out these days, and nearly half of the population ending that way, I'm wondering if anyone has some successful marriage stories to share. My own parents have been together for 30 years. She's a Taurus, he's a Leo. It's definitely been rocky, but maybe it's their fixed natures that have made them perservere. I wonder which signs seem to "give up" more easily when it gets tough, and which ones are more likely to see it through? I'd love to hear some stories of long lasting relationships and what their signs are... IP: Logged |

My mom and dad were happily married for almost 15 years until he died from cancer in 1997. They were made for each other. She's a Capricorn, and he was a Sag.IP: Logged |

My parents are still married after 22 years of marriage (31 years together in all)...happily, i suppose
Mom: Capricorn Sun/Gemini Moon/Cancer Ascendant
Dad: Taurus Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Ascendant

BlueEyes,I'm sorry to hear about your father. My dad's been struggling with cancer now for 4 years as well. It's so hard... Cap/Sag is interesting. That's not one that you see too often. Do you know what the moons are? IP: Logged |

My parents just completed 30 years together when they both died in a car crash when I was 6  I remember they seem to be happy, endearing and always very pleased with each others interests. They liked to be in each other company as much as they could. I remember they laughing a lot. I thought this could be how I would like them to be in a childs point of view, but my elder brothers and sister which are at least 20 older than me, as well as my grandmother say my memories of their hapiness together are precise  IP: Logged |

My Ma and Pa have been married for about 100 years, well 57 years actually...imagine being that long together.I have been married for 9 years and together with my hubbie for over 17 years...... Cap- Thank you, I'm sorry to hear about your father also. I hope he gets better. What kind of cancer is it? My parents had opposite moons- My mom's is in Aquarius, and my dad's is in Leo. They both had their venus in Scorpio, though.
Aquarius- That's a heartbreaking story, I'm sorry to hear that about your parents. They sound like they were a lovely couple.

Mornin~My Mom & Dad have been married for 44 years. They are truly soul mates and they are amazing to behold! They were both born on the master number day the 22nd. My Mom is a Sag Sun/Sag Asc/Aqua Moon. My Dad is a Aries Sun/Cap Asc/Cap Moon.

Thank you BlueEyes. My dad's cancer started in his salivary gland. Very rare. He's had two extensive surgeries, chemo, and radiation twice. He's going through chemo again now, but he can't have any more radiation. It hasn't gone to his organs yet, but it has spread throughout his face, neck, and eyes. It's definitely been rough on my family, especially my mom. But, in typical Taurus fashion she's the rock. She never breaks.Aquarius, that was a heartbreaking story. My parents have been married 25 years. They are VERY different (Virgo and Aqua -- can you believe it?) but also so right for each and so loving. Mom: Virgo Sun, Taurus Moon, Cancer Rising

My parents have been married 45 years. She is Taurus, he Cancer. My husband's parents, 50 years wonderful, adoring marriage. She is Aquarius, he was Cancer (he died recently ) IP: Logged |

My parents have been together for 25+ years. Must of their early issues were regarding their youth/finances. Today, they are still together and sailign smoothly Dad: Taurus Asc/Cap Sun/Gem Moon
Mom: Aqua Asc/Scorp SUn/Pisces Moon My paternal grandparents just had their Golden Anniversery last month.
Grandpa: Taurus/Scorp Grandma: Virgo/Cap My maternal grandparents were married for 60 yrs before she passed away two years ago.
Grandpa: Pisces/Aqua Granma: Pisces/Aries. ~Divorce~ I'm glad to see a Cap/Sag couple finding happiness together. That combo didn't work out in my marriage, mayeb the Moons had something to do with it.

My parents have been married for 24 years, and their doing good.
They argued a lot about money, but that was it. There never seems to be enough though so I understand that.
My dads: Sagittarius sun/ Aquarius moon/ Year of the Dog
My moms: Aquarius sun/ Pisces moon/ Year of the Boar.

My parents will have been married for 45 years this November.Their Asc/Des axis are reversed. Hers is Pisces/Virgo and his is Virgo/Pisces. As are their MC/IC Gemini/Sagittarius axis reversed. His 7th house Moon is in Pisces, and she has a Pisces Asc, so his Moon is in her 1st house. Her Moon in Sagittarius is conjunct his IC. Her Sun/Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius is in his 4th house and forms the corner of a t-square with his Neptune in the 1st and Moon in his 7th forming the opposition. His Sun/Venus conjunction in Cancer is in her 4th house and trine her Asc, sextile her Des. Her Saturn is sextile his Moon in her 1st house, sextile his Mars in her 5th house and trine his Neptune conjunct her Vx in her 7th house. His Saturn is square her Venus in his 5th house. My parents are together for 45 years. They are a great couple and devoted to each other very much. They are astrological twins born only a couple of hours apart in the same area. He is Taurus/Leo/Leo and she is Taurus/Leo/Virgo. Actually, this fact made my mother very sceptical about astrology  ...lol...because while their charts are almost identical they are very different in many areas. Although they have chosen the same career - teaching. The first thing you notice in their charts is Grand Trine - Moon (Leo) - Venus (Aries) - Jupiter (Sagittarius). IP: Logged |

Well, I cannot speak for my parents but I can speak for my maternal grandparents. Married until my grandmother's death. They are both Tauruses, their birthdays two days apart from one another.Grandmother:Taurus sun/virgo moon/pisces venus/cancer mars'

Yes, it does look like Cancer and Taurus (in any combo) are there for longevity.
