A couple of weeks ago I went to a metaphysical shop that was going out of business and had all of their books deeply discounted. There were a few left on astrology, so I bought what they had. One of the books is from back in the 80s and is titled Karmic Relationships. The author is Martin Schulman. I wondered if anyone has read this book and has any opionions on it.Also, It explains synastry aspects in a romantic relationship from a karmic perspective. It lists conjunctions, squares, trines and opposites. If anyone is interested in knowing what it says about a certain aspect just list the aspect and which planet is the man's and which is the woman's. Example: his sun conjunct her moon, etc. IP: Logged |

Hi Capgirl!Female Venus square Male Pluto: The female feels all that the male cannot see within himself. While he views her in her natural role, she sees many of the inner perceptions that affect his consciousness. Nevertheless, it may be difficult for her to cope with the relationship because his intensity tends to throw her off balance. Spiritual growth can occur, yet the turmoil and upheavals which cause the growth may be too volatile. I would add that I think some of the descriptions are a bit too negative, which is why I wanted input... so does any of it ring true? IP: Logged |

mysticaldream,I have read it and think it's good one, if you want to include karmic information in your synastry delineations. Martin Schulman's karmic series books are good reads and have valuable information in them. IP: Logged |

I wanted to get a few of these typed out before I am off to work, the rest I will start on when I get home. Dulce Luna: I am so sorry, the book does not include north node in synastry but perhaps we can all see what we can find with that one! Venusian Love: Her Pluto conjunct his Venus: This aspect causes the male to identify with his anima while trying to transform himself. She may never let him know that she is, in fact, his "shadow", expressing the undercurrents of all he loves. The causes of her volatile reactions or intense passions are often hidden. Yet as time goes by, and intensity deepens, the love feelings bring about a mystical bond that seems to go to the very core of love itself. Changes and transformations of the male's conception of his role are at the center of this relationship. (Sounds intense.......and awesome!) IP: Logged |

Mystical-- I've read better descriptions on that aspect... It is accurate as to the "turmoil and upheaval", but as to the rest, I do not know if I am perceiving accurately what is going on with him as there's not enough communication to ever figure that one out! It does seem a bit negative and curt/abrupt in the overall description. Is there a her moon conjunct his neptune?

Sure, Dulce! His sun trine her moon: Here we find cooperation without competitiveness. True companionship can manifest on many levels as each individual has the necessary ingredients to balance the other. Unconscious memories that enter into the relationship add color, flavor, a sense of direction and meaning to what can be an excellent partnership. Sounds like a great aspect to have! IP: Logged |

Alisa:His Venus trine her Saturn: The male learns about his own strengths through the protective and nourishing attitude of the female. She shelters and fortifies him. He may see his own father in her (???), remembering ways he was encouraged to put his creative ideas into practical form. Through patient, caring and enduring love, this aspect can bring about a kind of marriage where each individual grows out of childhood patterns in order to realize fruition and personal development. Her Venus trine His Saturn: The female admires the strength and protective qualities of her partner. He is her fortress, her shield and the edifice that strenghtens and firms up her character. He teaches her how to direct her creativity and focus her love instincts so that they ultimately have the most meaning and purpose. Stability and enduring love can be the result of this harmonious aspect. IP: Logged |

Hi Sunshine!I haven't been to the London area of Ky but I do have family that are from Sumershade. The shop I visited was in Nashville; however, there are metaphysical shops in Ky. The problem is that none of them are close to you. The Louisville/Albany area as well as the Covington/Newport area in the north part of the state have several. IP: Logged |

Blue Eyes:Her Venus Conjunct His Pluto: Here the female feels the depth of the male reaching for a response she is unaccustomed to expressing. A passionate sexual attraction draws the two together and keeps regenerating movement and change. The past is forced away through each new discovery in the present. There is a secret quality to this love and it preserves the strength of its original essence. This aspect causes love to be mystically regenerated. As the female finds herself, the male realizes his regenerative power and accepts his cosmic role in the grand plan. Even the lust is part of each person's acceptance of himself as being no more or no less than nature's offspring. Her moon conjunct his Saturn:
Here each partner acts out a parental role. She plays Mommy; he plays Daddy. (sounds kinky.....just kidding ) A possessiveness pervades the relationship, along with a sense of wisdom and sobriety. The male tries to impress his sense of dignity. She needs to mature. This relationship is karmic and often depicts residue from a marriage in a previous incarnation. In many instances there is a spiritual lesson the female must learn from the male.

Sugar buns,His sun conjunct her moon: This is an excellent combination for bringing out the natural brilliance in the male for the female is receptive to him. This aspect brings vision and understanding to a partnership along with the more traditional promises of marriage. The relationship has creativity mixed with feeling --- the two requisites for a complete experience. Moon conjunct Moon This aspect indicates immediate intuitive understanding. Both individuals know each others moods, emotional shifts and needs. As a result, a strong sense of emotional compatibility and insight develops, through a creative and emotional flow which enhances the relationship. With the Pluto conjunct Mars, who is who? Thanks! I have had this one and another of his for a long time, both have good info. Before I learned how many degrees to allow for each aspect I thought they were a little repetitive and broad. I thought it was ridiculous that I could have such Karmic connections to entire generations of people. Now that I understand true aspects the book is more valuable. The Karmic Connections one is full of notes. The other is on the Ascendant.IP: Logged |
