d,

Since Virgo (daily work, also health) modifying Saturn (duty, also authority, restriction) focused in the 12th house (spirituality, also confusion) can indicate being restricted and confused by health issues in some way, this makes sense in what you are describing. Since Saturn squares (energy needs to be combined with) Neptune (spirituality, also confusion), this possibility is increased.

As you already know, do not let any NONmemdical person tell you to take less of your medications. The consequences of not taking medications can be VERY severe. If your mother does not understand this, you may need to move in with someone who DOES understand your need to take your medications.

Agreeing,

Tim

D I am going to reference Liz Greene 'Saturn: a new look at an old devil' Recognized as an excellent work by many pros. First lets use her description {condensed} of the 12th House: 'This is often called the house of Karma, {saturn itself is supposed to signify this} based on the idea that planets found here are in some way denied normal expression and are often operating on unconsious rather than consious drives. It is also called the house of self-undoing because isolation, incarceration, helplessness, and bondage are often the lot of the person with with a heavily active 12th house - literal or symbolic- and it is his own actions which draw these conditions to him. The inference is certainly present that the ego, built through the efforts of the previous eleven houses and signs, must eventually be laid on the alter of sacrifice so that the man may become a functioning part of a larger whole and give of his wisdom and energy for the good of the group. For the man who refuses to comprehend this, it is the house of hospitals and prisons, for only through the loss of the individual power can a man realise that he himself is nothing without a link to the rest of life. This is always a difficult house, unless the path of service is persued. This is a cadent house and refers to states of mind, and Saturn here often generates a vague fear that someone or something, a misty generalised fate or destiny, is going to destroy him, or control him. He may isolate himself and attempt to shield himself from contact with others at the same time that he is weighed down by an oppressive loneliness and powerlessness. Now, posited in the sign Virgo whos Natural house is 6....> The individual with Saturn in Virgo may externalise his situation so that the adjustment and frustration pertain to his work life in the function of usefullness to the larger group, he expresses the function of his body and its intricate structure to his total psyche. Saturn aspecting Venus:....: MY words..: D; you are I am sure already aware of how painful this aspect is {opposition in your case} In it lies the seeds of emotionl discontent. And if the Karmic influence of your father relationship is involved {highly likely} repeating those damaging, crippling patterns may haunt you till you recognise them and begin the process of healing. Recognition alone is sometimes half the battle. All of us long and search for soul recognition. It is said that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Others cannot complete us { a hard learned lesson for me friend!} We must be complete unto ourselves first, before we are ready to give fully to the other. Your road is full of hard challenges. How much sweeter the summit. Forgive me my armchair fortune cookie ramblings! Hope some of this helps

Saturn in virgo tends to be pessimistic and depressed by NATURE. I can't underline that enough. I don't like the word insecure either, because insecurity is caused by being off balance temporarily and everyone is off balance at one time or another especially while young. The difference is whether or not that vulnerability is public or not and then it's judged as abnormal.

What society judges is different than the rest, where you go and how you develop will change your definition, so do not self define, or self judge except as a stable caring person, a valuable one. What you look like and have will change a thousand times in a lifetime.

In your posts you describe calling others on their bad behaviour, that's caring as much as you can in the circumstances. This is a nurturing function.

A lot of the good functions play out in limited circumstances whether we know it or not, some objective analysis is needed.

On the plus side, my mother has Saturn in Virgo in the 5th and she is very self critical, doubting and pessimistic especially concerned with her children.

But now as she is older, she is much more secure in her world and her children gave her the means to raise her standard of living and live by herself in a peaceful natural setting which is her dream.

Saturn Virgo needs to go somewhere peaceful and be surrounded by harmony, the ideal place is the countryside, or near natural beauty where the tempatures are not extreme. Saturn in Virgo CO-Exists with the environment and is reactive, you become one with those around you mentally, emotionally and physically.

Because you are sensitive you must protect yourself by believing in your own nature.
Your Neptune, your sensitive, caring nature, and possibly artistic or musical talents, will give you the means to rise above any faults. At some point you will meet another with a pisces moon who can bring friendship.

Have faith,
Natasha

I have saturn in the 12th, only it's in saggitarius. It's very depressing in my case because It's my chart ruler. I've found something from Bobmarks that describes Satrun in the 12th, but I don't know if it's "deep" enough to describe your situation.

Saturn in the Twelfth House: suppresses depression. Of course everyone gets depressed now and then. But when someone with this placement gets depressed, the trap door to the subconscious swings open and all the old depression comes out. This can be temporarily immobilizing, the "I just can’t get out of bed today" syndrome. Folks with Saturn in the twelfth house are usually very reliable. Everybody else depends on them and leans on them as well. They have to find someone to lean on as well.

Here's an interpretation I took directly from my chart @ Astro.com. It rings a bell for me:

Saturn in the Twelfth House 12th hs

You often feel discouraged about yourself for no particular reason, even believing that you aren't as good as the people you know, without any justification whatsoever. You may feel that others do not like you, and even when they praise you, you can't take it seriously.

Also you may have the sense that your personal world isn't very stable, that at any minute sweeping changes could occur that would upset everything. Along with feelings of inferiority, this makes it difficult for you to act decisively when you should. You spend a great deal of time trying to make sure that conditions are safe for you to act without being defeated in your efforts.

The important lesson to learn is that most of your fears about yourself and your world are imaginary. As you get older, these problems will lessen and you will become more secure and self-confident.

----I learned this the hard way when pluto went over my saturn, a while ago. Oy!

I have Saturn in the 12th too.

Thank you, Luna.

D, I have been so moved to reach out to you lately.
Please talk here if it helps.
I know sometimes it's hard to. If that Saturn in 12th affects you the same, it can make you tend to withdraw into yourself, overwhelmed with feelings that talking is another risk in itself to be hurt again.
Not everyone would disappoint you.
I understand what you're feeling (from what I've gathered of reading your posts--it seems so--almost magical is our synchronisity it seems). I'm sure others would understand as well.

Hang in there, sweetheart.
Please don't let walls keep your beautiful light within.
