HeyWhen the sun/moon MP of one person conjunct the sun/moon midpoint of the other person, is that significant? I tried to look for info on this but found nothing. Thanks IP: Logged |

What is a mid-point?------------------ Gemini/Cancer Cusp, Cancer ascendant, Taurus moon *29, Taurus venus, Libra mars *----------*----------* Things base and vile, holding no quantity, Love can transpose to form and dignity. Love looks not with the eye, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. -William Shakespeare IP: Logged |

Anita,Usually astrologers say midpoints need to be "activated" by a stressful contact with another planet or planets (i.e., oppositions, square, conjunction). So midpoints are "potentials" that come out when a planet(s) touches them by aspect. Midpointily, Tim IP: Logged |

love,A midpoint is the closer point between two planetary energies. For example, if one planet is at 10 Gemini and another is at 10 Leo, there is a midpoint at 10 Cancer AND at 10 Capricorn (both points are between 10 Gemini and 10 Leo). However, since Cancer is closer to Gemini and Leo, usually the 10 Cancer midpoint will be considered "the" midpoint between 10 Gemini and 10 Leo. Midpointifying, Tim IP: Logged |

cosmobiologists and uranian astrologers use the semisquare and sesquiquadrate with midpoints too. uranian astrologers use the semioctile(22'50)with midpoints IP: Logged |

I've recently have started being exposed to midpoints and honestly I'm not certain whataffect this is supposed to have. Is a midpoint implying that is you have a planet say mercury in Cancer and someone else has mercury in Virgo that potential leo traits would be affecting mercury when the two individuals are a couple???IP: Logged |

Sun/moon midpoint conjunct sun/moon midpoint wouldn't that just mean that the two charts had either sun conjunct sun, and moon conjunct moon or have a sun conjunct moon double whammy. There was an article on cafe astrology saying some thing like the sun moon midpoint was the place were we want to be balanced out and when some one elses sun or moon contacts that spot they are in essence balancing us out. And if that is true than the midpoint conjunct midpoint would just be like saying we both want the same thing but we can't find it in each other. Seeing as the sun/moon double whammy can come along with the midpoint/midpoint conjunction I think its a positive aspect, but it just wouldn't have that same effect as the sun or moon conjoining the sun/moon midpoint.------------------ Gemini sun Scorpio moon Taurus ascendant IP: Logged |
