Would you consider yourself to be a mountain person, an ocean person, a lake person, a jungle person, a flat plain person, or a desert person? Or anything else in terms of a general topographical environments ... what astro placements in your Chart might contribute to this?I am an ocean person. If I'm too far away from the ocean (more than 5 miles), I feel out of place. Moon in Cancer

Yes, I'm very much so an ocean person. Nothing makes me feel calmer or more at home. I love swimming as well. It's a completely different feeling to me.. the ocean almost feels like a different planet, in a good way.Mercury in Pisces

I love the ocean, and also woodland areas..
Mars in Pisces in the fourth house? square Moon/Venus/Nodes (eighth house), trine Uranus/Ascendant.
Neptune in the second, trine Jupiter and my Midheaven.
I don't think that I'd enjoy living in a desert environment.

An ocean person, or at least a water people for sure. I was born next to an ocean, and lived much of my life near one. I don't need to see the ocean everyday, and can be few miles away - as long as I have some sense it's nearby. I don't feel well if I'm too high above sea level. I currently live in the desert, at about 3000 ft, and while I've been here fore over 3 years, I'm not adjusting to it very well at all either physically or mentally. I've never done well in high altitudes.Pisces moon

I trust the ocean more than I trust the human race. I have always deeply appreciated the seemingly chaotic quality of nature, it's indifference to humankind, its strength and purpose, even at its peaks of destructiveness. Even when an natural disaster has a human death toll, I still find something awe-inspiring and beautiful about nature's power. One of the things i dislike here in the desert is nature seems muted, undramatic, like it's always speaking under it breath. I miss living on the coast, where there's more potential of nature making itself heard and felt. Granted we had flash floods two days ago here, and I really enjoyed that it my perculiar way.I suspect all of this's due largely to my Pluto rising. IP: Logged |

I love the ocean w/ a tropical climate. Jungles are fascinating to me too. I can't stand the cold weather though. But I was born South of the Equator, maybe that's why . I never liked plain inland, but if it was tropical with atleast a lake then maybe I wouldn't mind it.

I love anything having to do with water. I've been a swimmer, water polo player, water skier, jet skier, boater, and sailor. I was born near the coast, and grew up there. Now I live in a suburb of one of the U.S.'s most famous bays.I used to think I couldn't live away from the water. I did hate living in Tennessee. My favorite place I've been, though, wasn't tropical like Hawaii. My favorite place I've been was Switzerland. I think I'd like to stay out of the snow, and out of the humidity. Otherwise, I'm good. I am definitely an ocean person, also. Even if I'm in a horrible mood, if I am anywhere near the beach or ocean, my mood is uplifted. -Sag rising

Hi AJ,Well I tend to zig zag between mountain and ocean - lived in both areas. Currently I live 5mins away from the ocean, due to family/partner. I would prefer to be up in the mountains, with the abilityt o visit the ocean. I do like the ocean, but my inner preference is mountains - i miss them!!!!! Neptune 12th
Moon & Mars conjuct Pisces in 3rd house.
Which to mean explains the influence of others in my ocean fish life. Mountains: maybe also Neptune 12th Sag- wanting to be away/recluse/close to Nature.
Cap rising/ and also Merc in Taurus/5th. Also thinking, that I prefer warm temps - don't like snow. Then I am in oz, but maybe that is fire signs??? Aries sun/Sat Leo/Nep Sag. IP: Logged |

I love the ocean and would love to live near one (the hurricanes of the last few years have changed that though). It always gives me this odd peace just to sit and watch the ocean. I have Neptune exactly conjunct my Ascendant, which could explain that. (IC in Pisces, also).
I also enjoy wooded places and mountains -- when I visit the mountains it is usually in Tennesse or North Carolina (and I do love Asheville).... but I don't enjoy the mountains in the same way I do the ocean.AG, I didn't know that you had lived in TN. Water....Love to vacation by the Ocean...It brings me peace...I like my water clear though... Went Scuba Diving in St. Thomas V.I. a couple years ago... We went 40ft. for an hour... I liked it soooo much that I became certified last year and plan to go back this year to dive at some famous wrecks that litter the Carribean....As far as the everyday... Grew up on the lake and I own property on a lake about an hour away. My kids and I enjoy boating, jet skis.. Feel better, sleep better when near the water....
