why do capricorns have such a hard life.why do we stand out from other signs like the misfits of the zodiac.why are we so spiritual
but can't seem to help ourselves.why are we so deep when others seem to live and let live

I often do wonder why some caps cannot live and let live. I think being prepared for the worst can be good a times but it put a cloud on the fun they could be having instead of being uptight all the time.My friend always has a negative spin on things and I often ask why? When will they lighten -up and take the blinders off?Caps are very smart ,but at the same time I believe they take themselves through changes thay need not to.

It has been said caps grow up backwards and that definitely appeals to me.

Why is it so hard? It's really the same for everyone else except they either have a vivid imagination to escape from reality or some enthusiasm to believe in the future. We generally have neither and take reality a bit too seriously. Doom is in the eye of the beholder.

Good news is it's all subjective perspective and can (does) change with time. Even if you can't do anything to make your friend lighten up right now, they'll be able to do that themselves given some time. Btw, if you have specific q's there's many people on this forum who can answer with surprising accuracy.

Yeah, we're supposed to lighten up with years. We're born old, so when our body catches up it makes us happy.

Good point some caps do appear to have an older person's mentallity. My cuosin seems to believe that the suffering he going through is un-avoidable. In a nut shell his girlfriend breaks up with him sleeps around with other men and has had himbeaten up as well as locked-up.He's a mail carrier and supports her totally- she doesn't work and has a son. Instead of leaving this woman after all the troubles he sees her as the underdog and with time things will get better.it's already been seven years of pure hell. Our family fears she'll be the death of him. He feels she needs a good person such as himself to hang in there with her because of her low self-esteem.He is 42yrsold and she's 36yrs old. I adore the caps atitude of not being a quitter, but when do the towel get thrown in? and the (it's not worth it kick in?

To be honest I don't think we have exceptionally hard lives, all signs have that, and when something bad happens, most of the time we dig up our own hole. But these are really philosophical questions, I don't know why we do that but I've noticed that I'm older than my age (emotionally wise)

Jkxx:- My Pisces Moon helps me a lot to escape from reality. Doesn't the Pisces and Scorpio elements in your chart help you too?

Hmmm, don't know about Caps being especially spiritual, moreso than all the other signs. But I have met one before who thought he was deeply spiritual and tried to help my mum in a crisis by telling her to imagine herself floating over a desert going "Ohhhmmmm".

I think maybe the burden and curiousity you're feeling might stem from being ruled by Saturn. I think I've read that somewhere. Supposedly Saturn puts the pressure on all Caps to feel the need to behave properly and not let out everything they're feeling. Sometimes when you know you have to bottle feelings up it makes you feel them even more intensely. If that makes any sense. haha

MNF:- LOL he did that, thats quite funny my mom makes me do that a lot too, sometimes I think she's a bit crazy (and I mean this in an endearing way). Ok I'm not that type of spiritual for sure. Like I don't wave sticks around pots and chant incantations

But I agree on the Saturn thing, there's all this strong-need for self-control emotionally wise, for me, atleast, so I feel stuff a bit more intensely as I ponder it for quite a while and I think a lot.

Btw MNF I don't mean to pry, but did you get my email address yet? Cause I remember giving it to you, but I didn't recieve any emails.

Cappyme,

that's a good point. How do you see that working for you (the Pisces moon) overall?

Yeah, the overwhelming neptune influence helps quite a bit, but my chart ruler itself's in scorpio. I recently figured out how to imagine myself out of a seemingly tough situation though and that definitely helps.

And yeah, I was told I looked a lot older than my age by a friend just a day ago. Typical for a cap?

Jkxx,

Thanks. Oh its helpful and sometimes pretty annoying. Because I've got so much Capricorn, I feel uncomfortable with expressing myself emotionally and the Pisces Moon does NOT help then at all, but I'm thankful cause it balances my chart properly, I don't express my emotions in excess but neither do I repress my emotions in excess, err if you get what I mean and I'm not an insensitive wuss. It makes me empathic, and not such a cold person. Most of the time its cool to've a Pisces Moon. I fantasize a lot too (though that may also be also be because of Venus exactly conjunct Neptune in 1st house_, which reallly helps me, because you can do anything in your fantasies, its a good way to escape from reality, and the capricorn in my chart helps limit it (from going too far). How does the Scorpio influence play out in your chart???

About the friend thing, Probably people tell me I look older than my age a lot too, what I meant was I think I'm more mature for my age (thats what my friends tell me, though I don't think I'm really all that wise and mature).

I love Capricorn men and I get along good with the women. Capricorn men are the only ones of the zodiac that I don't get emotional with. I am Pisces so that might be hard to beleive. I dated a Cap guy its been about 12 years now. We still keep intouch and he is in a dysfunctional marriage, but I always support him and try tohelp him see things from a female perspective. Even our friendship is smooth.

Cappys are great heres to you guys..

I'm not sure what this means:

I really like Pisces, too.

It's nice someone can describe relations with a Cap as smooth

Cappyme,

Sounds like you enjoy those pisces and neptune placements there. I have my venus in pisces and it sounds quite a bit like your venus-neptune aspect. And just how you said, there's lots of fantasy but it never gets out of hand with the Cap influence.

As for scorpio, I know I love having it in my chart, it gives makes me experience everything more powerfully (esp. with the pisces influence to tune into things first) and that can be a plus at times. And even if everything goes wrong, the pluto aspects will keep me going.

Oh god yeah, sorry cappyme!

I did get your email address and said so in that topic so you could take it off. Sorry I didn't mail you but I'm really forgetful and bad at opening up and moaning to people anyway. I didn't want to burden you. But I'll mail you just so you have mine if you feel like talking to me about anything. Thanks!

I find them comforting and very intuitive....

Quite a few healers and psychics I have met are Capricorns.....

They are ancient souls have a very strong sense of "knowing"

Cap men like a lot of closeness and communication. one may put up with more crap because the woman is near him all the time when he needs her. That is too blunt I know.

Its' how I feel regarding the Caps men I know, they will give up a quality friendship with a woman for a more exciting one or less exciting one if she is communicates her feelings and thoughts regarding him constantly.

I believe it's a meeting of the minds first-maybe the problems are the result of one person hanging on because the relationship was practical at one time. Since it makes logical sense, it should work.

The cap view is:
One thing about quitting is that it's over. If two people want to be together, why should they quit?

My view is that cap men are sexy and emotional, but they can cut off their sexiness whenever they feel like it leaving a woman feeling alone and unbalanced. Mature Caps push for more honesty and open-ness.

As an earth sign myself, whenever I feel unsure of being honest, I push myself a little harder to be open and communicate.

Y ou say a cap feels why quit if they feel they should be together? the cap I know does exactly what you said when I try to communicate thoughts and feelings this cap pushes away yet he will not stay away. And the more he pushes away the more I push him to move on. He won't. I am sure these other women he mets appear to be more exciting than myself to me he's always very serious around me. (guarded Why? I have no idea, yet tells me he cares very deeply for me but feels I treat him badly. I honestly do not am not around him enough to treat him badly I see him maybe twice a month three times in one month is a miracle, he purposely keeps himself away but won.t let go I have tried to understand him for years.

Hi ecerbii -

Nope, not a Cap. I've got Jupiter & Saturn Conjunct in Capricorn.

The Capricorn man that I know best has two sides.....the serious "adult" side and the silly "adolescent" side (I prefer the silly side). To most people, he comes off as responsible and oh-so-serious but I think that is partially a mask.
What a lot of people don't see is him walking around making up songs......saying silly things to his dog....playing video games, etc....
I don't know if all Caps are like this but the ones I know are very special people.

You mean, in full astrological interpretation?

For me in a nutshell it's Jupiter's Optimism being given a strong dose of Saturian and Capricorn reality. The Conjunction to Saturn, plus they are both in Capricorn. And then you take Saturn, which is already about discipline, and putting IT in the Sign of Capricorn too.

Jupiter is about Expanding, Saturn is about Restriction.

The only saving grace here is that they are both in the 9th House (using Placidus House System). The 9th House Rules Jupiter. To me, this makes me WANT to see a positive side to everything, although in the present, things may seem impossibly twisted. I may never really reach the point where I truly live like all is good, but it at least forces me to find the good, (if not practical side) to everything.
