The Eclipses are Coming! - September 7 and September 22, 2006
By Janet Moon
quote:
Eclipses mean changes, good and bad. Where they happen in your chart determines what part of your life they will affect. Eclipses bring significant events into our lives--marriage, divorce, death, birth, career change, etc. Solar eclipses usually mean new beginnings, and lunar eclipses represent finishing things. They are the universe's way of cleaning house, and bringing us in line with life's energy. Even "bad" events bring us to better places. If an eclipse falls near your birthday, the following year will be eventful for you. Also, if it is near your birthday or your rising sign, watch out for health issues. Be sure to eat healthy, get enough rest, etc. Eclipses can be felt a few weeks prior to or up to 30 days past the actual event.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on September 7 will also be part of an aspect between Jupiter and Uranus with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces. This could easily trigger an urge to do some internal housecleaning. We may begin to reexamine our faith and spirituality, or we may find that our connection with our higher power suddenly becomes much stronger. On a more material level, we may find that we are ready to invest in a new computer or electronic device.

The Solar Eclipse on September 22 will be in Virgo at the Karmic 29 degree point. We had better be ready to wrap up the old and begin the new, because ready or not, its going to happen. It is very likely many of us will take up a new health regime. Virgo's are inclined to health and hygiene. But, Virgo also rules subordinates. If you manage people in any aspect (including parents), this will be a good time to implement some changes you have been considering. Also because we are at the last degree before Libra, relationships may come to endings, or more possibly, new beginnings. If you are single and looking for someone, this eclipse may bring that Mr. or Ms. Right your way.

The Lunar Eclipse on September 7 will be at 15 degrees Virgo and Pisces. If you have any planets at between 13 and 17 degrees in Gemini or Sagittarius, this eclipse could be especially difficult for you. The Solar Eclipse on September 22 will be at 29 degrees Virgo. If you have any planets between 28 and 29 degrees Gemini or Sagittarius, or if you have any planets between 0 and 1 degrees Cancer or Capricorn, this eclipse may cause extra stress. Also, where these eclipses land in your houses determine what areas of your life that will be affected.

The how-to-find-out-where for you is in the "Eclipses thru the houses" link above in my first post....
I think I'll have an interesting time: it's happening in my 1st/7th houses and Venus will be conjunct my Asc

Whoa! That animation site is cool!

I did find the house link, but nothing about aspects. I'll keep searching.

Wow, great info, and links, thank you.

Wow, on the 22nd September eclipse I think I'm gonna have some major experience. It exactly conjuncts my pluto in Virgo (at 29degrees) in the fourth house.

My dad has been out of my life since I was 15 and I have been thinking about this recently.

Wonder of this eclipse will have a bearing on that, being the fourth house, bang on my IC.

The lunar eclipse on the 7th will be conjuncting your natal Moon/NN in the 6th house
With your nPluto at 26 Virgo, that's a little too wide for an opposition to the eclipse.....

The interp for eclipse in the 6th (from link above) is:
Sixth House – Focuses on the work scene. There is more involvement with co-workers or subordinates. You may hire someone to work for you personally, such as someone to mow the lawn or a pool service or a caterer. Your health will require some attention, perhaps only a routine physical, or you will make changes in your diet or exercise routine. If you have pets, they could require attention or you might acquire a pet during these periods.

From: http://www.sexualastrology.com/solar_lunar_eclipses.html

Solar Eclipses

A solar eclipse occurs during the new moon. The moon blocks the sun’s energies as it passes directly between the sun and the earth. During the month of a solar eclipse, you should start noticing the energies of an upcoming eclipse right after the previous new or full moon. Emotional truths can be revealed and emotions can run rampant. All signs will be viewing life from a different perspective during this time.

It will be difficult for us to be objective. All signs will take things personally during this phase. Deep feelings can come to the surface unexpectedly. This blocked and ambiguous energy will intensify until the actual eclipse date, and will resume to normalcy after about three to four days of the eclipse date. It’s best to plan in advance for the eclipse since our natural rhythms are “out of order” during this time.

All signs will be feeling the effects of the eclipses differently. Depending on where the eclipse falls in your horoscope, you will be dealing with issues associated with that house. If the eclipse falls in the fifth house, the emphasis will be on love affairs and children. If it occurs in the seventh house, the emphasis will be on marriage and legal issues. If it occurs in the ninth house, there might be a change of residence or plans for long distance travel.

Typically, this is not the time to make any major changes. If an eclipse (Lunar or Solar) falls in your sign, on your birthday or close to it (within three to five days), you are due for major changes in your life this year. Perhaps you will end one relationship for another, or you could decide to move. The idea is to shake up the status quo in that particular area of your life.

Eclipses have been known over the years as a time of both beginnings and endings. They also signify change in your life on a massive scale. Embrace change and realize that for every door that closes, another opens. It’s all for the best.

Lunar Eclipses

A lunar eclipse occurs during a full moon when the earth moves exactly between the sun and moon, breaking up their natural monthly opposition. Normally, the earth is not on a level plane; otherwise eclipses would occur every month.

During a lunar eclipse, the earth “short-circuits” the connection between the sun and moon. The effect on us can be confusion or clarity.

This is a great time to change destructive emotional patterns such as toxic relationships or addictions. On the flipside, a lunar eclipse can bring on some insecurity within our personal lives. Realize that all signs will feel the effects of the eclipse differently.

It’s imperative to remember that everything is meant to happen for a reason, no matter how stressful or confusing things appear on the surface. Eclipses are designed to change our lives around for the better. Remember that without change, there would be no growth.

My bday is sept 12...and I have a couple of planets getting affected by the solar and lunar eclipses. Can you help me out by figuring out what type of craziness will happen to me? This is my last year in college, and I can't afford to mess up because I haven't been prepared for these upcoming eclipses......especially when there is the possibility that it will affect uranus (and as far as i know, uranus can put you through some crazy roller coaster ride).

This is my transit chart on sept 7: http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?nhor=3&nho2=1&btyp=24&mth=gw&hsy=&zod=&sday=7&smon=9&syr=2006&rs=&orbp=&cid=22mfileR86ycy-u1119432459&lang=e&gm=a1&ast=

And this is my transit chart on sept 22: http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?nhor=3&nho2=1&btyp=24&mth=gw&hsy=&zod=&sday=22&smon=9&syr=2006&rs=&orbp=&cid=22mfileR86ycy-u1119432459&lang=e&gm=a1&ast=

Thanks a lot

Zala~ thank you so much! But I'm confused...how is it in my 6th house?? I thought it would involve my 4th (moon/NN in Pisces) and 11th (pluto in virgo)
I can see where my work will be a focus. It has been a focal point already. I pray nothing happens to my little buddy. He's almost 8, a Scorpio Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, little sh!t.

Thanks for reminding us of this. Usually I don't get depressed, or have a sense of anxiety about upcomming celestial events....but...My natal Moon is @ 18 Pisces in the 7th. When I pulled up my Lunar return [Sept 7] and my Lunar opposition [Sept 22] I saw some real uglyness! Heinous in fact. I am thinking the best course is to wear a sack over my head, after duct tapping my mouth shut. Rough waters ahead. Oh my.

Zala,

You crack me up. You announced the eclipses like Paul Revere.

I'm exited! If this means what I think it means. Mine is also happening in the 1st & 7th houses, since I have Virgo rising I think that means there will be big changes in my health. I've been mentally planning to change my eating habits which have been slowing health growth.

I see something that doesn't look good, but I don't know how to interpret it yet. I have the Moon opp Uranus in the 1st.

I also have Chiron in 7th & Pluto in 1st, but no lines to either. Any ideas?

I ooopsed -- meant your 5th house. I have your Moon at 18Pis05 in the 5th, with the cusp of the 5th at 5Pis41. Isn't that what you have??

Thank you for posting all of this, Zala. This could explain some of what I've been dealing with recently ~ the eclipses last year hit various parts of my chart, including my Uranus/ascendant in April, and my Chiron/Sun in October.

Whew I'm glad for the notice! I just had tSaturn cross over my nSaturn and now this heh (it's only 2*past though <breathes deeply> )

The Lunar Eclipse will happen in my 4th house. Falls just short of making any aspects to any personal planets.

The Solar Eclipse will happen in my 4th house as well and will exactly square my Asc29*Gem.

I also will have Uranus exactly conjunct my MC at this time too. A couple of those sites Zala listed said career changes so with Uranus in this position I think I might believe it!

P.S. Zala you weren't kidding about the mouse trails!! I was mesmerized for several minutes Awesome!

I'm still not certain what house system to use to figure out how this eclipse will impact me through the houses.

I've switched to the Equal House System.

Is that what you use?

Zala~

sorry I didn't get back to this thread sooner. Yes, I have my moon at 18Pis05 in the 4th but always interpreted in the 5th for some strange reason.

Thanks again.
