Hello everyone
Do you think that astrology has the power to make two people who wouldn't otherwise come together (due to background, separate interests etc)be friends or a couple?
I'm interested if anyone's had a relationship like this or knows of one.

I met this guy on holiday and we got on. haha nothing happened... but right from when I saw him I had like a weird urge to want to know him and be his friend. The strange thing is, normally, back home, we would probably never get together because we have completely different interests and friends. He even really likes this band I absolutely hate but I still want to be friends with him. Anyway, I checked our compatability on astro.com and it's really good! But one thing it kept saying was stuff like "Or perhaps the two of you would not ordinarily be expected to come together." and "Other people often cannot tolerate such an "impossible" relationship because it is such a challenge to their way of looking at life. Something about the way you act together does defy society at large" haha but this made a bizarre sort of sense. Would this kind of relationship ever work out? I'm sort of indie and he's into sort of hip hop etc. I'm not too serious, just curious...

Thoughts?

I think it's certainly possible. I've checked out people whom I felt a strange connection with, like Susan Sarandon (who's older than my parents), only to find that the synastry is pretty darn good.

Sun conjunct Venus is said to be able to bring people together who under normal criteria would not be attracted to one another....Being too alike can be boring... our differences are what make life exciting.

Uranus can bring people together at odd moments in their life.. Or in a strange way.

**********Something about the way you act together does defy society at large" haha but this made a bizarre sort of sense*******

Neptune/Venus maybe?

Belage- Yes! We do! haha How did you guess??
But is this more of a problem for the people with the aspects or for other people, to try and accept the relationship as normal?

Stargazer- We don't have Venus conj Sun, but his Sun conj my Mars... that's meant to mean something right..?

AG- You know Susan Sarandon?? That's awesome.

Hey MNF, that's a good question. I reckon if the aspect to Uranus is a negative one, friends might interfere in a negative way. Sometimes outer planets work that way. They get played out by society's attitude towards your relationship rather than your own attitude towards each other.

But if they are positive aspects, people would probably like the unusual nature of the relationship. Either way though, whether the aspects are positive or negative.. because you met him on holiday, I gather you don't live in the same place.. and Uranus always works much better when the people involved are in touch at a distance. Chatting or emailing is very Uranian.

No, I don't know her. I was just stating that I have a strange affinity for her, and when I looked up our charts, they're very complimentary. I have a similar thing with CardinalGal. They both have Libra Suns with Cap Moons. I have a Cap Sun with a near Libran Moon (Virgo 29th degree). They're not conjunct by most people's rules, but they seem to be close enough. CardinalGal and I see eye to eye on most things. Suns conjuncting Moons in synastry is generally a very good connection, though, and not really an unexpected attraction like you're talking about.

Lauren, hey It's not actually a negative or positive aspect I think, cos I did a composite... One I remeber was it said 'Uranus in the 1st house' so I guess it's fairly important.

AG- I guessed you don't intimately know THE Susan Sarandon! I was just joking. I know what you mean with the 'almost' conjunct thing. I get that with my Venus a lot cos I don't really know for sure if it's Leo or Virgo!
