Personally, I consider anything over 3 degrees to be weak for a Sextile. Depending on Applying/Seperating, the Planets and Signs involved, it MAY be powerful enough for me to allow a maximum 5 degree orb for consideration. But I feel one must be cautious to not give too much credit to powers that don't actually exist, so largely, I stick with the 3 degree orb. IP: Logged |

I have read that for conjunction and opposition the orb up to 9 degrees may be used, square - 6 degrees, trine - 4.5, sextile - 3 and quincunx - 1.5. I definitely agree about applying non-existing aspects. However, astro.com seems to be very liberal with their orbs. For instance, my Saturn and Venus are only 78 degrees apart but they consider it a square. That is surely the one I can do without ...lol. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I recently tried to set the orb for one of my charts at astro.com, and I couldn't figure out how to do it.IP: Logged | |
