Wow, Azalaksh, that was quick! Thank you very much for his chart.

Let's see. The 1st eclipse, on September 7 will be at 15 degrees on the Pisces-Virgo axis, while the 2nd eclipse will be on 29 degrees of Virgo.

The first eclipse might have set off his Venus and Pluto opposition at 9 degree of Pisces/Virgo. Between 9 degrees and 15 degrees, there are 6 degrees, which is typically a big orb, but since eclipses are powerful as it is, and one of the aspects involves Pluto, the planet of power, it is possible that the orb of influence is wider. I am not sure how important this aspect combination was.

I think the biggie might have been the fact that the eclipse was squaring his Part of fortune which is at 12 degrees of Saggitarius, right on the cusp of his 8th house, the house of death.

Interestingly enough, the second eclipse would have been conjunct his native moon.

When I heard the year he was born I just knew it had to do with his stellium in Aquarius.

Astrologically February 1962 was a big year in that there was a huge stellium in Aquarius with Neptune in Scorpio squaring and Uranus opposing it. (T-Square)

Notice now that we have the transiting Leo planets opposing (that natal stellium) and transiting Neptune (making the conjunction) in Aquarius.
edit to add: and Jupiter in Scorpio completing the T-Square
Neptune rules the ocean.

(thanks for the chart Zala )

God Bless you Steve

Very sad! What's even sadder is that his wife was trekking in Tasmania when this whole thing went down and didn't even know what happened.

My condolences to all especially his wife and kids.

Thanks rainbow,

my family were close friends with steve and his family, my mother used to baby sit his kids occasionly, and also used to fight to save reptiles in court with Steve, since she lawyer she would do it for free to help the animals.

Steve and I also used to go surfing together- he was a great surfer and friend, I will miss him..

I never thought I'd be so grieved by the passing of someone I've never even met.

About the chart though...I've been Googling for his correct birth time and it seems that it is actually unknown. Noon is just a guess.

ruler of the 8th cusp conjunct MC...being transited by Neptune (unseen, ocean...ocean creatures)

how sad, my family is stunned. I grew up with Steve Irwin's show, he was my favorite to watch ever! I wanted to be just like him....how truly sad, god bless his family

The thing that stands out for me in his chart is his Mars at 15 degrees in aqua. The lunar eclipse affects 15 degree planets and mars is related to aggression and accidents, with it being in aqua, which is ruled by uranus (planet of freak occurrences), this seems ominous to me, since it was a freak accident by a normally docile creature.

It's so sad. It's on the news and it is tragic. Like someone else said, I can't believe how upset I am about someone I never knew.

I couldn't believe this when I heard about it yesterday. He seemed like such a nice person, and what a strange death to have.. from a sting ray of all things.

I hope his wife and children are well. I heard his daughter was on the trip with him. That would be devastating, specially since they were such a close family. She's so cute. gah I hate this, it's so sad. It's hard to think someone that full of life could die from one day to the next.. Hope he rests in peace

Looking at his chart, his Sun/Venus conjunction in Pisces is opposite Pluto (death).. and right now Uranus is transiting over Pisces, though it was at 12 degrees when this happened.. but also retrograde, so was/is moving back towards his Sun/Venus.. Uranus signifies unexpected events. Pluto is also going direct today. AJ has a string about how it might be affecting Plutonians.. Considering his Sun/Venus were opp Pluto, and Pluto was a singleton in earth (Virgo), he could fall in the Plutonian category.

Yes this is sad news here too. I love reptiles, and all animals too, but espeically reptiles. So I have appreciated his work with those animals and with better educating the public about them.

Interesting, a good friend of mine who works in wildlife rehabiliationa dn conservation is a Pisces-Libra too. I knew he was a Pisces, but I didn't know the rest of his chart. He had a Aqua Mars too - Definitely one of the "good guys" in the world. I had alwasy wanted to meet him, but unfortuantely that won't happen now. My prayers are with his family and friends.

That lovely, exuberant, animal loving pisces man is gone. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Everyone I know has shed a tear over his passing.

I grew up sailing around the place where he died and agree it was a freak accident because thats possibly the safest place on the reef, they take all the nervous tourists there.

He died happy, if far far too young.

RIP steve irwin 'croc hunter'

Not to be insensitive
but because of the unexpectedness of his passing it would be a good chart to rectify.
(since there is no birth time)

This is a classic example of Uranus in the (natal) 8th house.
His (Uranus) was at the end of Leo opposing his Sun (Pisces).

In order for this particular example to fit we would have to put Cancer on the 8th house cusp (signifying he died in or near water)
His Uranus is in Leo that can show an injury to the heart. (Leo/heart)
Uranus in the 8th house, unexpectedly
Transiting Neptune is conjunct his natal Mars
both are malifics and opposed by transiting Saturn.

Again transiting Neptune can show the stingray because poison/water is Neptune ruled, and Mars is signified by a wound. The news said the injury was like a bayonette (Mars) and he was pronounced dead immediately (Uranus).

This example would also show that he passed while transiting Saturn was transiting through his 8th house (death)

Now if we can put transiting Uranus conjunct the nadir, that will support this theory.
The nadir is a karmic sensitive point and shows conditions at the end of life.
I've never seen a death chart that didn't have something going on with the nadir.

This is just an example of rectification.
Many other things must first be considered like important events in his life.
Then they would have to be calculated and studied carefully.

Are we understanding rectification?
Anyone have something to add that I'm forgetting?
How about another possibility using the chart Zala posted?
anyone??

Sending heartfelt prayers to his family

I was sorry to hear of his passing, as well

I did take notice of Lalalinda's
"Transiting Neptune (aquarius) is conjunct his natal Mars
both malifics and opposed by transiting Saturn."........in 9th house (transitting neptune and natal mars) and 3rd house (saturn in aries), for that matter.

I also took notice that transitting pluto was to be going direct in his 8th house as well as transitting uranus and true node transitting his 10th house of status and career. jupiter transitting his 6th house of scorpio. also - lilith in virgo about to cross his moon in libra - following right behind transitting mars - in his 5th house.

That's so sad...kinda hard to believe a stingray of all things did it, considering all the crocodiles, snakes, and other things he'd grab to hold up to the camera. Seemed like he could see a newt a hundred yards away, then get all excited and go running off after it. The guy was bursting out of his skin with excitement at whatever he caught.
He was doing the thing he loved so much when he was taken, his own nirvana. Couldn't ask for much more.

Peace be with his wife and kids during this hard time.

Lots of love to you i heart, and of course all love to Terri, Bindi Sue and Bob

I adored that guy and all his wonderfully infectious enthusiasm and I cried buckets when I heard - I think because he was so friendly and open it felt like we all knew him. What a great bloke and what a sad loss.

Crocs Rule Steve!

What sticks out from his natal chart is...

Sun/Mars conjunct Jupiter (risk taker) - square Neptune (water), and Sun/Jupiter opposite Uranus (like lightening)...waiting for a sudden, unexpected accident in water to happen

Thankyou lalalinda,

and thankyou guys for your messages.

I first meet steve when I was 8, before he was known as the croc hunter and before his populatiry. I can remember him when I was younger going to australia zoo ( only 10 mins up the road from where I used to live/ my parents house) and watching him, such enthusism for life!

Then when I was 13 my family developed a bond with Steve and his wife Terri, my mother would help them campain in the courts to save reptiles, and other australian animals.

When I was 16 I had begun surfing every day ( since we lived on a beautiful beach in Caloundra Sunshine coast)
This is where I used to surf with Steve,

you all know how he loved wild life, and animals well steve LOVED surfing- so much you woudlent believe, ha he was a crazy guy- surfing the biggest waves to the smallest waves. None was a challenge, he would swim up to a massive wave- ride it all the way into the shore, get totally dunked and smashed - jump up 'YEAH Crickey thats unreal!!!" and run right back into the next one! - lots of fun!

He was a great friend- and surfing companion!
Everyone knew Steve, what you saw on the tv is exaclty what he was like in real life- he loved life- he lived his life the best he could, and has changed a world- as I see now.

It has been so over whelming for myself, and I appreciate how much people cared for him, and Im glad. Steve was one of a kind- he was my hero- he was so true to him self, his family and his friends. I think Steve might of been one of the most successfull people I know- he was famious for being himself, not a movie star, not a politician, not for acting ...... just for loving life and for being himself.

The world has lost someone so special, Its so hard to understand hes gone- but he will live on in my heart - and the hearts of others.

If only he could see what an imact he has made..

My little sisters who are 8, and 4 friends of Bindy are taking it really badly, they miss him alot.

thanks you,

RIP Steve. <3

and sorry for the spelling misstakes.
