One of my best friends is a Taurus-has anyone else had experience with them being complacent?

Yes. My husband is a Taurus. They love security and I've found that when they've acheived what they perceive to be as security, they can become very complacent...but then again, I could probably say the same of most signs - under the right circumstances, I think most signs have a propensity to get complacent...it's just that what drives each sign to complacency differs depending on the individual sign.

I have my South Node in Tau and can relate. I like to feel safe and secure over being challenged and in the deep end.

Yeah, my best friend's wife has complained about him becoming complacent. He's a Taurus. They've been working on that.

My Venus, Mars, and Saturn are in Taurus. I guess in my case it's not complacency but... indolence?! An if-it-ain't-broke,- don't-fix-it kind of thing.

My ascendant and saturn are in taurus and despite me being an aquarius with tons of fire, I am very complacent for the most part.

I sometimes, well, usually do not like change. I also will hang onto something for a long time, which is why I'm so afraid to commit to a person, because I know once I do - I'm not going anywhere.
