What in a chart might indicate success in publishing? The birth chart for J.K Rowling: and Barbara Cartland: http://www.astrodatabank.com/NM/CartlandBarbara.htm and Dan Brown's is here (scroll down the page): http://www.astrologyinserbia.com/e/nikola/dan_brown_recti.htm His birth date is listed as 22 June 1964 (70W 56’54’’ 42N58’53’’) at 5 AM EDT+4So to all you folk who are good at interpretations (I'm still learning ) what can you see in these charts that you believe indicates success in writing and or publishing? In anticipation Cat ------------------ ...to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever... IP: Logged |

cat,The only person who we have a proven birth time for is Barbara Cartland, so I will use her example only: To see writing in a chart, look to Gemini/Mercury/3rd house influences...to see publishing in a chart, look to Sagittarius/Jupiter/9th house influecnes. Looking at Barbara's chart, we see Jupiter (publishing) focused in the 9th house (publishing) conjunct (energy is combined with) Midheaven (outer world) conjunct Saturn (duty, also career). This indicates Barbara has a strong interest in a career in publishing for theouter world. We also see she has Gemini (writing) modifying Neptune (fantasy) in a "fate degree" (strong energy) focused in the third house (writing) opposite (energy is over-excited by the Jupiter energy previously described. This indicates a LOT of writing and publishing of some sort. Looking at a writer, Tim ------------------ For information on basic astrological chart interpretation see: http://www.geocities.com/wilsontctc IP: Logged |

Wouldn't having the AC/MC/personal planets on the 5th degree of a sign contribute to the 'being famous' part of it?IP: Logged |

There can be so many [writing] subject indicators in a chart. I think prominent Leo placements may tend toward creative storytelling. Sag placements may be a little more philosophical storytelling. IP: Logged |

cat71 -Great question! Thank you for posting an image of JK Rowling's Chart. Did you have her exact time of birth? ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

AJ - unfortunately , no, I've googled etc, but not been able to find it Have been interested for a while in this aspect of charts however cos I write alot, but no success in publishing - so far... I have the attitude of just keep trying, but also wondering if placements can tell you the best time to submit work for publication or if it is just trial and error. Oh and BTW, I'm not asking for the purpose of becoming a zillionaire, but because I love writing and would love to see my work published *head in the clouds* Cat ------------------ ...to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever... success in publishing would be a well aspected mercury in a prominent place. For example, I have had some scientific work published and I have retro mercury conj sun (opp sat, squ uranus) in the 10th. Something like the 10th might highlight a public aspect to written work. Otherwise 11th might focus on the community. 5th indicates a creativity to work. IP: Logged |

Thanx NightJar I have alot of energy in 5th house, I have Pisces in 10th but no placements, Sag placements are Jupiter and Neptune in 7th - I write children's stories - teen fantasy I don't think anyone could follow J K's success, she and HP are brilliant, but I'd like to think young readers would enjoy my work at least 1/2 as much as HP, that would make me really happy IP: Logged |
