How've you been handling Saturn opposing your Merc? And what about this “Rigidity spells defeat” thing…is it something to worry about?

Please tell me it’s not as bad as it seems.

right now it's 19 deg Leo

Well waternymph, lets put it this way. I havent noticed anything different, so that has to be a positive!

Here's my natal info FWIW..

Sun Aquarius 00°10'16 06 direct
Moon Cancer 29°34'50 12 direct
Mercury Aquarius 18°49'15 07 direct
Venus Capricorn 28°33'34 06 direct
Mars Capricorn 20°31'38 06 direct
Jupiter Aquarius 14°58'47 07 direct
Saturn Aquarius 01°59'31 06 direct
Uranus Leo 29°39'11 02 retrograde
Neptune Scorpio 13°19'35 04 direct
Pluto Virgo 09°44'47 02 retrograde
True Node Leo 18°00'19 01 retrograde

Hmm Saturn must be sitting right on my True Node (also Leo Asc) right now....I've just experienced some major life changes...learned a lot of lessons. Karmic lessons even.

My merc sits at 2Aqu39 (retro) and seriously, I can't remember the transit happening! It would have happened last year. I was going through moon squ saturn transit at that stage and found that tough.

Eeek..waternymph...I was going to mention the saturn c moon which I went through about a year and a half ago, in my original reply.
That wasnt pretty. It was not so bad as I'd expected, but it was a tough time....it didnt rule my whole life, just came and made itself felt every so often. Its effects kicked in a while before it was exact..I really felt the whole transition. Its possible thats what is adding to your stress right now, and it may not get any worse.

Good luck!

Ok well before I start anyone off in a panic, note that I have Cancer Moon, opposite my Aqua Sun, so Saturn's transit of cancer was opposite my sun and c my moon - possibly intensified the effects of it.
I did have some problems with depression, and felt very stagnant..unable to move forward. It was a time of feeling heavy. Nothing disastrous happened, I just seemed like I was wading through mud. As Saturn moved into Leo, I made a big life change - left my job to return to education and it was the best thing I've ever done. I think this transit is about Saturn teaching life lessons, making life a little more challenging for a while, but then the clouds lift. The transit was tough but it gave me the grounding I need for the changes I needed to make, was good preparation.

HTH!

Yes, thats very similar to when I had Tsaturn conjunct sun in cancer. A very pessimistic time for me, it was gray even on a sunny day. I hope its a little different when it hits my moon.

I had tSaturn opposite Mercury earlier in the year.

It made me stop and think before speaking...and made it difficult for me to communicate...

I started teaching under this transit as well...meaning I took on a role where I was responsible (saturn) for conveying ideas (mercury) in an institution (saturn). At the start I did feel like I was holding back most of my ideas...I wasnt exactly given the right opportunity to teach as I wish...after that transit past it got a little better. But still had/have it opposing my mars and sun in the 10th.
