http://www.astrologycom.com/fixedstars.html I'm not sure about using these in aspect to points in your chart, but the conjunctions to planets are supposed to carry meaning. One of the more unusual interps for a fixed star I have conjunct my Venus is Antares. On the site above it's interp is: "A Royal Star. The Archangel Oriel, the Watcher of the West. Spirit of adventure, obstinacy, injuries to eyes, honours, sudden loss, stubborn, suspicious, violent, several marriages" But then says it's Fortunate. In a book I bought today called Parkers' Astrology, the following interpretation is given: "An extremely potent star that encourages the utmost action and determination. As a "Regal Star", it bestows success of the nature of the planet it contacts. But the tendency to over-dramatize is present. Its influence is sympathetic and in tune with the sign of its constellation." (This star is part of Scorpio's constellation.) My books got interps for 20 of the fixed stars if you'd like to hear any of them.

Go to that link I posted. On that page there are all the fixed stars and their positions. See if any of them closely match any of the placements of your planets.IP: Logged |

I had one of those books on birth days that listed these fixed stars for each day and it showed their "strength". I thought they only applied to your Sun sign.
It was interesting to see several of them mention fame and success. That lit my egotistical Leo MC up like a light! 
However, my Scorp and Pisces placements encourae me to stay in the background and not draw any attention to myself.
Of course, none of it says what kind of fame it brings. One could go down in history for being worst dressed. I could wear a swan for a dress ya know. 
Why be greedy? You Leo Suns and Asc's can have all the fame. Though I will take the success those stars mentioned.  Thanks for the link, AG.  IP: Logged |

Hi AG ~That impulse that you mentioned about doing a lot of studying has struck me too Nekkar, Izar and Arcturus are the closest in longitude to my Libra Sun.
Algol, “the Blinking Demon” is smack-dab on top of my MC, and Regulus, “the Heart of the Lion” and an Archangel Star, is snuggling up to my Leo Asc….. is there something brief you might feel like passing on about those two from your Parker's book?? Thanks  Zala IP: Logged |

AG - fascinating stuff  I had loads of conjuncts using his 6 degree orb rule, but to keep things simple will only post those that related to the 'Royal Stars':
Aldebaran * Conjunct Saturn in 1st Gemini
Bull's North Eye
Spica * Conjunct Mercury in 5th Libra
Spica * Conjunct Venus in 5th Libra
Antares * Conjunct Jupiter in 7th Sag And am really concerned about this one:
Caput Algol * Conjunct Asc Taurus
The Gorgon's Head
as it says - Strangulation, beheading, danger to throat and neck, murder, violence, the "Evil One"; Very Unfortunate Any additional information you can provide would be great

I am not sure about projecting stars on the ecliptic working. Bernadette Brady uses parans and doesn't believe that stars should be projected onto the ecliptic. Robert Hand notes Diana Rosenberg as the foremost fixed star astrologer. She does use fixed star ecliptic projections. Brady and Rosenberg agreed to use the term alignment instead of conjunctions because they are not true conjunction. Diana Rosenberg has a fixed star report program,and it does refer to conjunctions as alignments. Orb of 1 degree is used.

I have Bernadette Brady's Starlight Program that does fixed star parans. I am very willing to do people's parans. Just need all your birthdata. Even if you don't have birthtime,I can still do your parans. I just won't be able to give you any stars that were on angles when you were born.
