I have an Aries Rising (But a lib and Gemini moon..so mixed feelings)
Mars scorpio and venus Leo..shud make me strong,i guess??

I know a Pisces with Aries rising and he isn't confrontational at all. Maybe because he has Sun, Mars and Mercury in the 12th...makes him suppress argumentative/confrontational urges.

I would imagine that having the Sun in an exalted house would make for an assertive personality.

I would say cardinals, especially cardinal sun/moon/asc. Appearance of assertivenss, even though there may be square aspects.

Also, fire signs especially Aries Sun and Mars. Sagittarius is assertive in a non-threatening way. Leo in a 'bow down before me' way.

Scorpio definitely.

Strong convictions: sun-mercury conjunctions.
Assertive personality: mars-sun/asc conjunctions

Also, first house mars, pluto, and sun.

Moon conjunct Mars. Several people in my family have this. We're confrontational when we need to, and if we feel like we're being pushed to react, you might not always like our reaction. But always honest, direct, and blunt - to a fault.

My Scorpio MC makes confrontations inevitable. Even when I'm not looking for them, they fall in my lap.

My mercury is at 28 Aries opposite my moon/Pluto in 0 scorpio and I don't believe I've ever feared another person lol. I'm like a rottweiler in a Yorkie's body 😂 but I'm not confrontational, I just never back down. My sun, venus, and mercury are in the 12th though.

Kind of in general: aspects containing planets like Pluto + Mars, Pluto + moon, Mars + moon.

If we're talking about assertive and more confrontational with strangers or on first meeting: Pluto and/or Mars in first house or square the ascendant (square can make a person accidentally come off as confrontational or aggressive). Also fire ascendants of course.

If we are talking about a determined personality: something like Pluto opposition Jupiter.

And for people who can easily be assertive with a strong personality but not necessarily aggressive or intimidating with strangers or the like, that's basically aries and leo mars, aries sun without a lot of inhibiting factors, or a lot of aries, leo or sag placements (Aries is more "assertive" while leo is more like "strong personality" I suppose).

There are a lot of factors that may produce these kinds of things, and factors that can produce the opposite traits too. It really depends bc there are different variants: Someone can be confrontational in emotional matters, aggressive but little ability to actually confront, etc etc etc.

What type of assertiveness are we dealing with here or is it just a generalization?

For example, my grandfather is a Taurus with his Mars in Virgo and he is very assertive as far as getting up every day and working outside. He is also a workaholic and has been that way his entire life. He put together his own band and played trumpet, guitar, and was a manager at many electronics stores/divisions.

I don't know if it was due to the Mars in Virgo, or just the fact the he's a Taurus and was raised to be a very hard worker.

I do believe that there are aspects that make individuals more prone to being assertive though, like Mars in Aries/Scorpio/Sag/Leo... etc....doesn't necessarily have to be those Mars signs though. Robin Shou is a Cancer with his Moon/Mars in Taurus and is a very assertive individual. I also have a friend that fights in MMA and he is a Mars in Taurus, he's also a Leo. There are just a lot of aspects to consider. It is an interesting thought though, a blend of lifestyle, or how a person was raised, to choices, to astrological chart tendencies, etc..... My Uncle (My grandpas son) is very assertive when it comes to being a salesman or dealing with customer service type stuff. He is an Aries with his Moon in Taurus and Mars in Leo. I have Mars in Aries in the 6th house and I'm very assertive when it comes to physical work. I was mad today that everyone at work was having pizza in the middle of me trying to get a job done. So, I went "over" to have a couple of pieces so that it would shut everyone up. Lol. I'd rather get my work done AND THEN have delicacies afterwards.
