Are there certain transits that sprinkle a depression spell on the more unstable emotionally folk? I've been so sentimental lately and have no where to direct it, it's making me melancholy and blue. What's going on? [I don't know much about transits to be honest.]~Rebekka IP: Logged |

There are! But unfortunately I don't know which ones! They don't effect 'unstable' people though. Just depends on your own planets. Some transits effect everyone.IP: Logged |

Sounds like Neptune square or opposition. Just go to astro.com and check it out.Personally, I found it easier to deal with Saturn's transits than with harsh Neptune transits. You don't even realise how screwed up your thinking might be until after the fact. Neptune square Venus is particularly nasty. IP: Logged |

How about Moon opposing natal Neptune? I also have Moon square natal Venus. Would that do it?~Rebekka IP: Logged |

Hi Rebekka! The moon transits ( =transiting moon aspecting your natal planets) are way too fleeting (they last for about half a day, maximum)to cause you any kind of depression, so ignore them when you're looking at your current transits. I haven't seen your chart, but check if transiting saturn or neptune are opposing, squaring or in conjunction with any of your personal planets or the ascendant. Also have a look at the house the transiting saturn is in in your natal chart at the moment. If you're willing to post your birth details (easiest if just post your birth date, time (how many hours +/-GMT)and the coordinates of the city) I can have a look too and maybe give you some more infomation on your current transits.IP: Logged |

I think I found your birth info from another thread; you were born 16.2.1988 in Texas, pisces ascendant, right? You've had transiting saturn opposing your natal moon and mercury this summer, I'll post you some information on those transits. I'll also try to find you descriptions of your long-term transits for the rest of this year. IP: Logged |

Saturn Opposite Moon If you feel confused, tired, irritable and downright depressed - then it¡¯s not really surprising. During this period, responsibility for others will conflict with responsibility for yourself. On the other hand, you may have been ignoring the needs of both others and yourself recently - and the consequences are now beginning to show. Painful memories from the past may also cause you to retreat into a safe, secure shell - well away from life¡¯s daily pressures. However, at the moment, you really need to re-establish your sense of purpose in life, and then start to fulfil this purpose in a meaningful and constant way. Find your own pace, and don¡¯t attempt anything that you¡¯re not ready for. Don¡¯t promise more than you can deliver. Cold, emotional barriers may be erected to keep out pain and upset. The only problem being that these same emotional barriers could leave you feeling alone and isolated from everyone around you, but especially from those you love. This may seem like a ¡°no win¡± situation, but ultimately it¡¯s up to you to destroy these barriers, face up to your responsibilities and mend the bridges between yourself and loved ones. Women, parents and older individuals will be less sympathetic than usual to your problems and may cause difficulties in your life - either at home or at work. Perhaps there will be some kind of conflict between your home and professional life.Saturn Opposite Mercury Worrying too much could create problems which should not have existed in the first place. A negative mental outlook could cause you to emanate a black cloud of depression. As others, even close loved ones, won¡¯t want to be infected by this doom and gloom - they¡¯re likely to avoid you...causing even more depression. It could become a vicious circle - but one that you can break out of if you¡¯re aware of what¡¯s happening. Professional and personal ideas and plans may be blocked. It may seem that no matter which path you take - the road has been blocked. Delays in communication are likely, for example a letter or cheque may be delayed or lost in the post...or you may find yourself endlessly waiting for some kind of reply via a telephone call or letter. This could lead to frustration and anger. Perhaps it¡¯s time to take a completely new direction in your life. Perhaps it¡¯s time to discard anything that¡¯s no longer of any use or value to you...and remember that all endings have new beginnings. Take care not to overwork during this time. Emotional and physical exhaustion could lead to ill health. For the rest of the year you have the following transits (if I got your birth details correct): Saturn trine MC Jupiter square Sun Pluto trine Jupiter Pluto conjunct Mars Uranus conjunct Ascendant If you go to Astro.com and click the forecast link (after filling in your details , you will get lots of useful info on these transits. SATURN TRINE YOUR MIDHEAVEN (Medium-duration, 1-4 weeks) You have good, practical ideas for professional advancement. You have opportunities to make steady progress in both career and domestic affairs. JUPITER SQUARE YOUR SUN (Medium-duration, 1-4 weeks) You may want more recognition and freedom, but unrealistic expectations or overconfidence can work against you. Frustrated by other's lack of understanding, you may become hypocritical and reckless. Don't promise more than you can deliver. Keep your ethical standards, and learn moderation, humility, and responsible commitment to pragmatic goals.
PLUTO TRINE YOUR JUPITER (Long-duration, 5-10+ weeks) You may develop an interest in spiritual studies and self- improvement. You feel optimistic, tolerant, and secure. You may find travel to be rejuvenating, bringing renewal to your sense of optimism and spiritual growth. You can release outmoded beliefs and discover hidden truths and wisdom. PLUTO CONJUNCT YOUR MARS (Long-duration, 5-10+ weeks) You may feel compelled to change your surroundings and eliminate old situations that have deteriorated or become manipulative. You have an intense resolve for self-improvement and a strong desire to investigate hidden matters. Deep emotions, and sexual insecurities could surface. Take the initiative, but avoid putting yourself or others into unsafe or threatening situations. URANUS CONJUNCT YOUR ASCENDANT (Long-duration, 5-10+ weeks) You have a strong urge for freedom to develop your own lifestyle and character. You may desire personal action and pursuit of unusual adventures. I find the Astro.com descriptions much more insightful, so go and check them out if you're interested And again, let me know if I got your birth date etc wrong (I used 13'51 pisces ascendant, 20'06 sag MC, tell me if it's not you) IP: Logged |

Thank you so much for the insight! That is my birth data you found and it sounds like that Saturn transit is exactly what's been happening. It seems like I get so wrapped up in emotions I don't even want to do anything to make things better. How discouraging. Thanks again though.~Rebekka IP: Logged |

Rebekka,According to your DOB and your ASC the other knowflake revealed here, you are a sun sign Aquarian and your rising sign is Pisces- because I don't have your exact birth details, I'm asking- is your Aquarian sun in your 12th house? Do you feel "depressed" very often? If so, when and how your first period of "feeling depressed" occurred? What would you usually do when you feel "depressed"? How would you describe your mood and the way it affects your daily functioning when you feel "depressed"?
------------------ May not be able to get back to you...appreciate your say nevertheless...D IP: Logged |

Yeah, my Sun is at 27* Aquarius in the 12th House, along with my Moon and Mercury as well. I don't remember when I first started having depressive episodes but ever since I can remember basically. It's kind of a looming feeling whenever I'm awake. When I'm depressed, I usually mope. Sometimes I can get myself to do something constructive but not always. I don't know how it affects my daily functioning though. I guess whenever I don't have class, I'm in my dorm room by myself. I'm a solitary person though, so that doesn't really say 'depressed' to me.~Rebekka IP: Logged |
