and ~Thanks for posting this - nice article. Jupiter: Pluto, we're tired of all this heavy stuff. Take it somewhere else. You're fired. Pluto: That's a good one! What are you going to do, send me to hell? It may be useful to note that in these interps one should read your Ascendent rather than your Sun sign, as this will give you the proper house that Pluto is transiting..... eg, Pluto is transiting my 4th, and as I'm very late Leo rising, I read the Virgo interp. I have Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio along with Pluto in 1st. I am not worried about the demotion of Pluto. I am all for it. Ever since I have been reading about the Kuiper belt, I didn't think Pluto was a real planet in astronomy, but I do believe that it has a strong influence in Astrology. However,I feel that other kuiper belt objects like Pluto have a strong influence in Astrology. Kuiper belt objects like Eris,Quaoar,Varuna,Ixion,Orcus,FY9,EL61,and others. I feel that Pluto's demotion is good because then it makes Pluto equal with Ceres(an asteroid that I feel is underrated in Astrology and was categorized as a planet for 40 yrs and got demoted because of the asteroid belt). Pluto got demoted because of the kuiper belt. Now Pluto gets to be equals with other KBO objects. I don't have strong Pluto aspects in my chart. The KBO's make stronger aspects in my chart than Pluto including especially Sun conj Ixion with 4 minutes of arc,Moon square Varuna with 10 minutes of arc, EL61 square Midheaven with 3 minutes of arc,and Moon sextile Sedna with 2 minutes of arc. I believe that people could identify with wide orbed Pluto aspects because they have close aspects of other KBO's. They could also have strong Pluto midpoint configurations. All the Kuiper belt objects can be about death, rebirth, transformation, intensity, and sex. Ixion is lusty and relentless. It was named after the father of the lusty centaurs. Ixion was named after a king who wanted to pursue Hera, and he mated with a cloud in the form of Hera. Zeus punished him by having him on a spinning flaming wheel in Tartarus. I even had transiting Ixion in an almost exact t-square with my Moon square Varuna as well as transiting Varuna trining my Sun-Ixion cazimi during the suicide of my grandfather. Pluto wasn't making any close transits to my personal points. Transiting Orcus was exactly square my Mercury when I started believing in Astrology. Transiting Orcus was squaring my Mercury during my grandfather's suicide too. It was my grandfather's suicide that got me believing in God again after 2 years of atheism. His suicide was the catalyst for my spirituality. It led me to Astrology. I believe in progression. Astrology changed when the outerplanets were discovered. So why not when the KBO's were discovered?
That's how I feel.

what is she talking about objects yet to be discovered beyond pluto? Over 800 Kuiper belt objects (KBOs) (a subset of trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs)) have been discovered in the belt, almost all of them since 1992. The objects that orbit beyond Pluto are cubewanos(Quaoar,Varuna,EL61,FY9 are some of them) and scattered disk objects(Eris,Chaos, and Sedna are some of them). The objects that orbit like Pluto are plutinos(Ixion,Orcus are some of them)Pluto also has been assigned a minor planet number like all the asteroids,Damocloids, trojans, centaurs, and kuiper belt objects. It's technically classified as a minor planet just like many astronomers have argued for years. They tried to assign Pluto a minor planet years ago. It took the discovery of larger KBO to get Pluto demoted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuiper_belt http://www.answers.com/topic/kuiper-belt http://bopedia.com/en/wikipedia/k/ku/kuiper_belt.html http://www.sciencedaily.com/encyclopedia/kuiper_belt IP: Logged |
