I was wondering if 7th harmonic aspects have anything to do with soulmate connections. The reason why I wonder is that 7th harmonic is supposed to do with mystical, otherworldly connections. Robert Hand says that they have a Uranus-Neptune influence. He said how they are found prominent in mystics and poets. These could be highly idealistic, romantic, spiritual aspects. Adze said that they are linked to relationships and corresponds with Venus/7th house. If that's the case then the 7th harmonic aspects have to do with mystical relating with others. I have Sun septile Ascendant with 28 minutes of arc, true Black Moon Lilith septile Ascendant with 50 minutes of arc,and Venus septile Pluto with 32 minutes of arc. I am drawn to mystical things and grew up writing poetry and am interested in mystical connection with a partner.

I am curious about true Black Moon Lilith involved in soulmate connections. True Black Moon Lilith seems like an intense primal, seductive, enchanting, shadow moon, metaphysical point.

I have 7th harmonic aspects with my girlfriend.

My Sun triseptile her Sun with 23 minutes of arc
Her Sun triseptile my Ascendant with 4 minutes of arc
(that combination forms a 7th harmonic aspect pattern as well as her Sun is oppose my Sun/Ascendant midpoint )

Her Mercury septile my Saturn with 15 minutes of arc
Her Venus triseptile my Jupiter with 50 minutes of arc
My Venus triseptile her Mars with 36 minutes of arc

Her Midheaven septiles my Vertex with 52 minutes of arc
My Midheaven biseptiles her Vertex with 18 minutes of arc
(the reason that I included these is that this is a double whammy 7th harmonic Midheaven-Vertex aspect and Vertex is fated relationship point and fits with the otherworldly energies of the septile)

My true Black Moon Lilith triseptiles her Sun with 45 minutes of arc
Her True Black Moon Lilith biseptiles my Sun with 19 minutes of arc
(This is a double whammy 7th harmonic true Sun-True Black Moon Lilith aspect and true Black Moon is a metaphysical point and fits with the otherworldly energies of the septile.....also I have true Black Moon Lilith septile ascendant, and her Sun triseptiles both to form a 7th harmonic pattern as well as her Sun opposes my true Black Moon Lilith/Ascendant midpoint)

Her true Black Moon Lilith triseptiles my Ascendant with 8 minutes of arc
Her true Black Moon Lilith biseptile my true Black Moon Lilith with 41 minutes of arc
(that would form a 7th harmonic pattern too)

My girlfriend has Sun septile true Black Moon Lilith with 4 minutes of arc.
(my Ascendant triseptiles both her Sun and true Black Moon Lilith to form a 7th harmonic pattern as well as her my Ascendant oppose her Sun/true Black Moon Lilith midpoint)

My Ascendant oppose her Sun/True Black Moon Lilith midpoint with 6 minutes of arc.
Her Sun oppose my true Black/Moon Lilith ascendant midpoint with 21 minutes of arc
(double whammy of Sun-Black Moon Lilith-Ascendant midpoint configuration...
Our Ascendants oppose with 16 mnutes of arc..
She has Sun/true Black Moon Lilith conjunct Ascendant, and my Ascendant oppose that midpoint configuration)

My Sun-true Black Moon Lilith septile Ascendant forms a 7th harmonic pattern to her Sun septile true Black Moon Lilith

There is a whole family of septile aspects including the septile, bi-septile and tri-septile forming one, two and three sevenths of a circle respectively. Septiles are measured in denominations of fifty-one degrees twenty-five minutes, one hundred two degrees fifty one minutes five seconds and one-hundred-fifty-four degrees, seventeen minutes and two seconds. The septile family of aspects is very different. They divide the circle into one, two and three sevenths respectively. This is the first series of aspects that do not divide evenly. This is a somewhat irrational force of energy, something sacred and holy going on here. Much like the number seven, Septiles contain spiritual power and imply the possibility of cosmic intervention. Septiles indicate harmony and union though in a non-conforming way. These aspects can indicate extraordinary creative efforts at self-knowledge and ultimate understanding and canbe a real turn on. Septiles resonate with Venus, Cardinal, Air and Libra energy. http://www.adze.com/Classroom/aspects.html

7th harmonic (septile series): A brings B into contact with the unknown.
This link is the key to inspirational experience. A confuses B and
dissipates its energy. A and B together show the nature of the ideals.

Michael Harding says of the 7th harmonic, "When someone is profoundly
moved, inspired, turned-on, excited, absorbed, captivated or besotted
with some image or ideal then the mechanism of...inner fantasy is
probably at work and projections are actively engaged. This is the circle
of the 7th harmonic, where the base and the numinous can merge; where
the noble cause, the highest ideal and the darkest longing are a
septile apart. As astrologers we must approach this chart with respect
and caution, and be prepared to acknowledge all the riches it contains;
for here we are truly walking with dreams of others."

Hand says, "The seven-series aspects are difficult to formulate in
rigorous and clear terms. Part of the reason is that they have a
Uranus-Neptune flavor, which suggests that they have to do with energy
linkings that are not entirely of this world. For example, these aspects
are prominent in the chart of Madame Blavatsky, the founder of the
Theosophical movement. They are also prominent in the charts of poets.
If the five-series gives the ability to turn creative inspiration
into concrete end-products, the seven-series gives the creative
inspiration itself. It is as if these aspects enable one to peer
outside the everyday universe into one of expanded possibilities
and truths. There are dangers here also. I have seen the seven-series
indicate mental and emotional difficulties as well as creative inspiration.
An excess of these aspects appears to give one a lack of connection
with the physical universe as most of us know it. This is the dangerous
or at least difficult side of creative inspiration." http://astrolog.offline.ee/astrolog/texts/lesson.asp

Information on Black Moon Lilith

Dark Moon, Black Moon or Lilith, this hypothetical point in astrology is known by several names. Some argue that the Dark Moon is one thing, Black Moon another and Lilith yet another. The reality is that there is an asteroid named Lilith, but it is not the same as the Dark or Black Moon. However, when used as a point in a birthchart, all three names appear valid as they all seem to describe the same thing.

This point arises due to the Moon's path around the ecliptic forming an axis of the perigee when the moon's orbit is closest to the earth and the apogee when its orbit is furthest from the earth. It is an empty area, a void created, an empty focus. Moving at about 40 degrees a year, the perigee is from where the path of the Dark Moon is calculated. It takes a little under nine years for it to complete its course.

In astrology, the Dark Moon is representative of the darker side of our nature, the negative side. It is the hidden depths that we know exist yet we prefer not to acknowledge. It is subtle on the surface, yet profound beneath. It is the foundations of our personality and the shocking truth that we often deny and project onto others instead. The refusal to see what is really within ourselves. The subtle refusal to see what part we may have played in some unpleasant drama of our lives, how we ourselves have manifested our fears. It is the kind of thing that we intrinsically know we have to deal with, confront the darker side in order to progress unhindered, yet most often we try to ignore. It is the deeper truth that we are forever in search of within ourselves. Probably the best use we can make of the dark moon is to explore our hidden depths, realise that we all have that darker side and go within to resolve that which ultimately hinders us.

The Dark Moon is representative of the negative traits of guilt, shame, hatred, envy, and vengefulness, often brought about by personal wounds and hurts. The true dark side of things we try to hide.

There is another side of the Dark Moon astrologically. Carl G Jung, the famous psychoanalyst described something that he called the "anima". The anima is a man's image of the ideal woman and also the feminine side of his personality. For a woman it is the image of the ideal man and the masculine side of her personality. So the dark moon in a birthchart will represent these ideals too.

It is also representative of the enchantress or the seducer, one who lures another by use of sexuality or devious means. The kind who tempts another by implying that the grass is greener on the other side, that they can "rescue" someone, but it is in reality for their own selfish gain.

The Dark Moon, Lilith, also has associations with motherhood, like her counterpart the Moon. With Lilith however, the instinctive nurturing is replaced by a strong protection of her offspring to the point that she would kill if necessary any that threatened them or caused them harm. She is also reactive against the ties involved with motherhood and the emptiness that mothers sometimes feel by isolation and the perceived lack of individuality that accompanies it.

These things do not only apply to women, they apply to men as well, as the Black Moon is also their feminine side.

Keywords: danger, darkness, deceit, destruction, devious, devouring, dreams, emptiness, enchantress, envy, fears, guilt, hatred, imagination, isolation, jealousy, magic, marriage-wrecker, mystery, night, poison, secrets, seduction, shame, the "other woman" who thinks a man needs rescuing from the "chains" of his partner, vengefulness http://www.aquamoonlight.co.uk/lilith-dark-moon.html

Also Glaucus -

Wasn't sure if you ever caught any of my posts regarding the True Lilith as it pertains to my Chart, I think you might know I'm deadset on using the option "h13" in astro.com (which may be a universal key), rather than choosing their default "Lilith" option in the dropdown menu.

I can really appreciate what you wrote, and want to really take the time to read it well

Astrojunkie and Glaucus,

I think I`m confused now. About Lilith.

I thought the Lilith in astro.com`s default menue is the Black moon, and h13 is an asteroid with the same name? But the two Liliths are two different stellar bodies?
Did I get it wrong?

Also, I just took notice of Lilith, when I came here. Well, I faintly noticed her before, but since she is located in the same house and sign as my natal Moon, I didn`t pay very much attention.
But Glaucus, your posting inspired me to look, if Lilith played an important part in that attraction I`ve experienced recently and couldn`t really understand. (It`s neither the gay one nor the unattractive one; those are in the past, even though I had to reflect on my feelings for them to really let them fall into the past and be able to move on; this guy is very much in my presence at the moment. lol).
Interestingly my Lilith is opposite his Moon (arc of 36 minutes) and trine his Venus (23 minutes of arc), while his Lilith is also trine my Venus (4 minutes of arc). Unfortunately I don`t have a clue how to interprete that.
But I`ll keep my eyes open concerning Lilith.

About the septile-family, it sounds very interesting. But it will take time for me to digest so much information (it feels as if there`s an astrological information.overload at the moment, but still I want to learn more and more new things). But I checked my horoscope and it seems that my Sun and Moon are in septile, whatever that means.

Hey darkdreamer - I appreciate your question.

It has nothing to do with WHAT they are in terms of matter or ideas. I'm going to paste an article I found after doing a lot of research.

You might receive a landslide of information, but keep this basic in mind, that the word "lilith" is associated to negativity, rather than positivity, and that it is a Female energy. Keep that basic in mind, and you won't go wrong. After you read the article I'll post next, you'll be that much more educated as you go about.

In the meanwhile, Your "lilith" Opposite his Moon, think of it as anything negative a man is trying to work through regarding women in general. Your Moon is Opposite that. Did you get that? If not, let me know.

And next, his "lilith" Trine your Venus.

This difference concerns who has the "lilith" in their Natal. When it's in YOUR Natal, that means you represent "lilith" in true form to the other person. When you're looking at HIS "lilith", that represents what that means in his own head (based on his experiences with women in general).

I found some interesting "coicidences" when looking at the actor Johnny Depp's Synastry's, one with Kate Moss, and one with Paridis. For some reason, the "liliths" really stuck out at me, and you must keep in mind that his having a Natal Capricorn Moon contributes to the theme(s) in his life.

So, the whole point being, don't get tripped up with the hundreds of interpretations of what all the dammn "liliths" mean. Second, I'm going to post that article here, which only serves as finding the exact location of the "lilith" you need to pay attention to.

Re: (Liliths Sue Simmons) ... There is a lot of confusion and misinformation out there, even from professional astrologists.
I've spent hours and hours and hours researching this, and the following is by far the most well-researched and accurate explanation I found. ESPECIALLY THE PART ABOUT THE TRUE VS. MEAN!!! This is key:::

"Lilith
- by Sue Simmons

There are 3 astrological points with the name Lilith: asteroid Lilith, Black Moon Lilith and Dark Moon Lilith. They are all called Lilith because the way you interpret them in a chart is related to the Lilith story.

Probably the earliest version of Lilith is from Mesopotamia in the 13 -15th centuries BC where she was the Goddess of Death in the form of an owl. She was called Lilith because it means "screech owl". The version of Lilith we know today is as the first wife of Adam, before Eve, although she is not mentioned in the Bible or in ancient Hebrew religious writings. This version seems to come from a medieval writing that purports to be part of Hebrew writings but is not. The writer probably took the older legend and Christianized it by making it part of a Bible story. Lilith became the woman from hell, the anti-female.

There are many versions and interpretations of her story. As the first wife of Adam she refused to be subordinate to him. She refused to lie beneath him in sexual relations. She wanted to lie side by side or on top. When he tried to force her she used her powers to fly away. This part of her story has interested many women today . They like to think of Lilith as a feminist heroine, saying she was courageous and asserting her equality. However, in the original story she was more a symbol of the psychologically damaged. If you interpret the Liliths in a chart as heroic or admirable it will not be accurate. The Liliths in your chart operate as places where you are having trouble, where you don't fit in with the norm.

After Adam refused to have her as his wife, she ran off and mated with many demons, which was strictly against God's will. God sent 3 angels to her to get her to stop but she didn't obey so He started killing her children at the rate of 100 per day. She went mad with grief and started killing other people's children. Painful issues surrounding children, birth, unsuitable sexual partners and parts of your life where you just can't function like others do are Lilith issues.

Asteroid Lilith
The glyph for asteroid Lilith is a straight horizontal line with 4 small vertical lines sticking up from it , sort of like an upturned rake head, and on the right below the horizontal line is a very small mark like a capital L or V. Some say it is an upturned hand which could be either rejecting or expecting something different. It takes about 5 years for Lilith to travel through all 12 signs, since it does retrograde a lot. It orbits the Sun in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The asteroid Lilith has to do with all aspects of difficult sexual relationships.

Black Moon Lilith
Black Moon Lilith is the astrologer's term for the lunar apogee. Since the Moon has an elliptical (oval) orbit and a wobbly one at that, the distance the Moon is from the Earth varies. The lunar apogee is the mathematical point in the sky where the Moon is farthest from the Earth. The reason this point is called Lilith is because in the Lilith story she was acting out the difficult (distant) part of the Moon, in murderous rage, vindictiveness, and insanity. The glyph for Black Moon Lilith is a black crescent pointing east, similar to a 3rd quarter Moon, but with a cross underneath.

Black Moon Lilith can be calculated as mean or true, similar to the way the Moon's nodes are calculated as mean or true. But in the case of the Black Moon there can be as much as 30 degrees difference between the mean and true so it is possible for them to be in different signs or houses.

Deciding which to use is easier if you look at charts of people you know where the mean and true are in different signs and houses. The true is the more accurate placement but an ephemeris for it has only been available for about 10 years so not as much work has been done using it. The ephemeris for the mean has been available for about 100 years and astrologers in Europe have been using it almost that long. That's why you see the mean used more in articles and books.

The mean moves about 39 degrees per year or about 3 deg 8 min per month and does not retrograde. The true Black Moon retrogrades a lot and can move anywhere from 9 deg to well over 70 deg per year. It also can move up to 4 deg per day or stay at the same degree for several days so it is important to get an accurate placement for the true.

An ephemeris in a book is fine for mean but not for the true. You can get the true in Win*Star software, Halloran software, or Riyal freeware or you can use the Swiss Ephemeris online to get both true and mean.

It takes about 9 years for the mean or true to pass through all 12 signs.

Dark Moon Lilith
Unlike Black Moon Lilith, Dark Moon Lilith is a real body in the sky, a second Moon to the Earth that doesn't reflect light, hence the name Dark Moon. The glyph for Dark Moon Lilith is a zero with a forward slash running diagonally through it. There is some controversy over whether it is really there since it can only be seen as a spot moving across the Sun. However, there have been sightings since the 1600's as detailed in Delphine Jay's book, Interpreting Lilith, pg. 1-6. Dr. Georges Waltemath, an astronomer, documented it in 1898 and came up with calculations which gave it an orbit of 119 days around the Earth.

The astrologer Sepharial used the Waltemath calculations to come up with an ephemeris but he made errors which caused a difference of anywhere from about 2 to over 40 degrees. Delphine Jay, Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson, Mae Ludlum-Wilson and others copied Sepharial's calculations. The original Waltemath calculations can be found in Solar Fire software or Riyal freeware. Many astrologers use the Sepharial calculations with success, but the Waltemath calculations are more accurate. Dark Moon Lilith can be interpreted similarly to the other Liliths.

Delphine Jay says Dark Moon Lilith is a place where you must operate impersonally because operating personally there will never be successful.
