I have come across of a somewhat different interpretation of Juno in a natal chart. It's very interesting to know what you think of it. quote: ...Old patterns of being a victim in love can come oozing out of the woodwork now, leading to poisonous emotions that can kill a love. Jealousy and (barely) suppressed rage are common with Juno spurned, as she has no tolerance for unfair or deceitful relationships.... www2.bitstream.net/~bunlion/bpi/Ct0012.html...The asteroid Juno is connected to empowerment or disempowerment in primary relationships...Juno has to do with repressed rage and violence by the small, weak and dispossessed... www.mcn.org/greatbear/scap.htm ...Juno - the rage of the powerless, marriage... www.geocities.com/mahtezcatpoc/mcauliffe.html ....Juno represents the scorned woman...the rage and need for revenge which is so characteristic of Juno... www.astrologyzine.com/newscope.shtml
To combine both descriptions, does Juno represent what we expect from committment, how we understand it and how our rage is expressed when we feel betrayed? IP: Logged |

It does fit mythology, at least.Juno indeed was the scorned woman; one who was living in an empty marriage, or at least she had to endure Jupiter cheating on her again and again. We tend to idolize Jupiter (in both, mythology and astrology) a bit too much, when we forget that he didn`t have only his good sides, but he was also selfish and unfaithful. Concerning rage, well, just remember how jealous and enraged she was concerning Herkules. Actually, he was named "Hera-kles" to soften Juno´s rage a bit, to calm her down. (Hera is the Greece name for Juno). But it didn`t work really well, she still pursued the son of Jupiter and Alcumene with her hate and rage; a rage that was born from the humiliation and pain of being cheated on once again. My connection with Juno is one of friendship. Ceres, Juno, and Pallas have more of a friendship quality to them. Vesta has more of a sexual context to it, so that someone with Vesta in the 1st House would have a Pluto'ish quality to them. If you have Ceres, Juno and Pallas in the 4th, it means you will have many friends in your home much of the time, something like that. It creates connection for sure. I suppose those same "friendship" qualities could then be flipped around and turned into a stab in the back, but we don't even understand the basics yet. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

BUMP.I think this is interesting, because Juno was always scorned and cheated on. So the rage part is understandable. There's definitely more to Juno - it's worth exploring. IP: Logged |

i think its a good idea to get some perspective on the cheating and lying, jupiter was a randy old bigheaded sod but he WAS a god. and juno's rage was anything BUT repressed! still i think it denotes a certain possessiveness, but also a "through-thick-and-thin" attitude towards marriage that included their battles and escapades... and i always thought there was an element of friendly one-upmanship there too!IP: Logged | |
