Man, I just got into the whole 'Law and Order' series on TV. I've been obsessively watching marathons the past few weeks...Anyway, does anyone know what kind of aspects indicate being an excellent detective? Aspects that make for objectivity, quick mental functions, flexibility, being poker-faced, a hard exterior... Also, what are aspects that would make a genuinely compassionate cop? Like Detective Olivia Benson, for example. I'm guessing her moon is in Pisces because she has a humongous soft spot for all the victims, even the ones who could be potentially faking it... Oh my god, I looove Olivia Benson and det. Stabler!I think to be a great detective, I'd imagine a strong Mercury and Pluto in the chart, and definitely a Mercury-Pluto aspect. I'm not sure which houses I think would be most important, perhaps the 6th? Which would indicate a need to serve and help, perhaps the 12th house of intuition, secrets, subconscious, etc... because I think innate instinct is a huge part of being a good detective, over any schooling one can undertake. Maybe an emphasized 8th house would do. And Mercury in Scorpio.IP: Logged |

I have alot of these "detective" placements.....no wonder I'm hooked on Crime-Dramas(moon in the 8th/sextile pluto in the 10th, mercury in the 6th/trine pluto...oh, and 12th house stellium ). I have to agree that the Law & Orders are the best....especially Criminal Intent with the two Cancerians; gotta love us. I can't stand CSI though, for some reason. I've noticed that some of the actor's sun signs actually play out in their Characters. Take Christopher Meloni for instance, a sunsign Aries. Don't you think that his character Elliot Stabler is the punch first-ask questions later type of guy? The other show I've seen this on is NYPD with Dennis Franz' Character. He's a scorpio and so was Andy Sipowicz. Although in real life, Dennis Franz seems so much more cheerful .

I've been watching L&0 and L&O SVU since they first came out. I've also been a huge fan of "Cold Case files" "New Detectives" and "Forensic Files". I actually didn't feel comfortable with certain family information on here IP: Logged |

Oh wow, pidaua, should've kept the placements, silly! Fascinating history though. I like how these ppl in your life seem less prompted by ego drive than by sympathy.I don't share any of those placements, but I sure wish I did. I always admire ppl who can insert themselves into tight situations and smoothly remove themselves out, while still managing to retain a ton of information in a limited amount of time. I, on the other hand, will get eaten by a wolf in sheep's clothing. And the thingy about Stabler being an Aries ... so true, haha. I think sometimes you can see the steam come out of his nose...
