Topic: No birth time -- Please help!

Hi everyone,I'm really saddened by the fact that I don't have any birth time for my father. I adore my dad and look up to him more than anyone in the world, and I would love to take a good look at his chart. There is no time of birth on his birth certificate, his parents are dead, and no one else in the family seems to know. The moon changes signs on his birthday, which makes it even more frustrating! Does anyone have any idea how I could figure out his time of birth, or even the general time of day? Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance,

i dont think theres a solid way to know without a birth certificate stating....was he born in the states? ------------------

what are the moon signs in question? have you look into the traits of each sign and try to assign them to him? i have the same problem with my dad's time of birth- and year...its very frustrating....does he look like a certain sign in particular? rising sign looks can help you figure it out, coz some rising signs can be so distinctive at times....------------------

He either has a Taurus moon or a Gemini moon, and I tend to think Taurus. But it bugs me that I don't know for sure.I cannot for the life of me figure out his rising sign. Just have no idea. Nothing jumps out at me. IP: Logged |

I guess you could look into getting his chart rectified. I haven't tried it, but from what I have read (I cannot remember for the life of me what beginning astrology book talks about doing this...it had green lettering on the front...), your dad would pick out ten days where something significant happened to him and the astrologer looks at charts for those days and tries to make an educated guess. post what you know,sometimes there are aspects that can narrow down the time,not always,i'll give it a try if you want.

I too am going through the same problem with my father's chart. However, I believe he is an aquarius rising, which would place his sag sun in the 11H adding more aqua influence. This guess was further helped by the fact he knows he was born in the morning, which would put his sun near the bottom of his chart.My suggestion for your father's chart is if he believes he was born in first part of the day then that should give you an idea of where his moon is. Also, look at the ascendant times based on his sun sign, the time of day he was born (morning, noon, night) might help pinpoint what his rising might be. ------------------

The moon switches signs in the morning/afternoon, so hard to tell. And I really don't know what his rising could be.

Do you know if your father has any idea if he was born in the AM or PM?My mother has the same thing with her birth certificate, no birth time... but the same thing happend to me, my parents were given two pieces of paper with the place date and (two slightly differing birth times). As well as one that had everything on it but my birth time.
The TRUE birth certificate was the one that had my baby feet print on it.

Salisa~He does have his birth certificate -- it just doesn't have a birth time on it.  I looked at the links you provided...Thank you!!! I guess I could use one of those websites to pay for a birth certificate, but wouldn't it be the same as the one he has right now? Or is there a chance it could be different and contain the birth time? What do you think? Thanks again for your help,

hmmmmmmm..... unless the birth certificate he has already has some kind on foot or hand print of his on it I would look into seeing if there was a copy out there that does.
I myself am a bit strapped for cash and can't afford to get get my mothers certificate
but you my be able to get it cheaper at around $14 ordering it from your state,
type in something like California Birth Certificate Request in Google and you would probably be able to print out a form for your state.
Wish you lots of luck with what ever you decide. As for me in the time being I'm assuming my mother has a Taurus Moon with a libra AC
