According to Linda's Love Signs,Librans use this as weapon to win over people. She mentioned Jimmy Carter as an example. He's way before my time so I dunno.Do you agree?.

I wouldnt call it a weapon.
I am libra sun and mercury and I always smile alot and joke around people when I meet them.
The reason for that is I guess to create that atmosphere of good vibes and beauty.
It comes naturally to me so I dont think about it, but I dont know if Jimmy Carter did

My two nephews.
Both Libras. The two cutest of the cute bunch of them all use, their smiles and eyes to get what they want.
So manipulative :-) So unfair :-)
Because it gets me every time!!!

Anita:

The word weapon means something differently when an astrologer uses it. In common parlence, a "weapon" is something used to harm another person. When an astrologer talks about a sign having a "weapon" its simply a behavior or attribute that enables them to move up in the world, to gain things, to sway favor. Basically its sometihng that allows them to manipulate the world in their favor.

The libran smile is a weapon in the sense that its impossible to stay mad/dislike a person with a charming smile like that. The libran smile is so disarming it can soften even the coldest heart.

Well the Libran charm and way with words is certainly the best "weapon" the sign has. Smile and other facial expressions being one part of it (the majority of the communication between people is non-verbal). I know Libras are considered to be manipulative, partly because of this skill, even though it is unintended by most Libras. But the sign gives a nice skill to know what to say, when to say, how to say and to whom to say - and add a nice smile afterwards. Can't go wrong...

Every sign has their positive sides and how to get ahead in life, though I prefer to use some other term than a weapon of it, Libras are gifted with nice verbal skills and charm.

That's such a great trait to have. So that's why Matt Damon's face keeps me so intrigued, it's his "Libran" smile!

I know three libra ascendants and i haven't found their smiles to be particularly great...The best smiles so far has been Virgo in either one of the Big Threes. They have killer smiles i think.

I'm sorry, I cannot agree.

The most repulsive smile I've ever encountered was planted on a Libra's head.

I wont go into the details.

Poor guy. He loved to talk about it too.

That's funnyyy. My sister is a Libra. She has nice dimples. Her smile looks the same in every freagin picture, but she looks great every time.

She will not hesitate to remind me either. = D

She is somewhat humble though, is not opposed to thanking those 2 years of dental work in her tween years...

As a Libran I just wanted to comment here - I'm quite often told I don't smile enough - and alot of the time people are prone to saying "are you ok?" - all through my life actually, well the thing is I feel like I save my smile for when I REALLY mean it, as a teenager I used to say "you don't have to smile 24 hrs a day to show you're happy!", still it's not that I'm a misery or anything like that I consider myself quite light hearted, but when you said that thing about using your smile as a weapon, I guess I just think of it sort of like knowing when to turn it on and when to turn it off and this way it seems to have more impact when I do want to smile...
(I hope this doesn't sound too superficial! )

Charm is a good 'weapon', but the world basically thrives on positivity.. so a smile does make it better for everyone. I wouldn't call it outright manipulative (unlike emotional blackmail or an intended putdown), but it's to turn something negative into something positive, and that way, we both win.

Blueroamer,

I know what he meant by weapon be it in astrology or not,
and thats why I said I wouldnt call it a weapon.
From my own behaviour, its not being manipulating or trying to gain anything,
its because I like spreading good vibes around me on other people in social places.
Some times its not returned, and some times it is. No matter if I get a smile back or just get ignored, it wont change how I feel about the importance of smiling in public.

My Father is a Libra/Libra Rising/Gemini Moon

He does have a movie star smile complete with that chin indent or(dimple).
ALL of the Libras I know are extremely charming and that winning smile is just part of picture.

I look very much like my Father and have nothing in Libra except SN. I do, however have a stellium in the 7th along with 4 other planets and asteroids.
Voted "Best Smile" in High School along with "most likely not to be at school" lol.....

My brother is a libran and he has a great smile and I'll tell you that he should of been a model. He looks totally different from the rest of us.

But I know a few female librans and I'll be honest I don't think their smiles are all that great... almost awkward, they just don't have a natural charm about them.. it's almost forced. I don't know just my opinion. I just noticed more natural charm and beauty in the male side of the librans.

To be honest, I never noticed a difference between the smile of a Libran and the smile of a person belonging to any other sign of the Zodiac, as long as it's genuine.
