I'm so tyrannical and I can't stand it. I have this uncontrollable, all-consuming, need for power that like dictates and motivates everything I do! I try not to be so focused on being the "iron-fist" of everyone and everything but it's soooooooooooo hard not to be. Lord, it's so draining... I can't stand it anymore. Does any one else feel this way?

I think this would attribute to an insanely overpowered personality... and I've been looking for clues within the natal chart to steer myself away from this (because i havent been successful with any other method i've tried...) but I cant find any

I attribute all of this to:
Sun in the 1st house
Sun conjunct Ascendant
Sun in Scorpio
Pluto in the 1st house
Pluto conjunct Ascendant
Pluto conjunct Sun
Mars singleton in Aquarius
Mars opposite MC
MC in Leo
Moon in Leo conjunct MC
Moon in the 10th house
Pluto square Mars
Mars square Sun
Pluto square Moon

i'm sick of all this lusting after extreme power, wealth, control over everything and everyone, fame and adoration.... but it seems like every other aspect of my personality gets drowned out by this dictator like attitude.. AH hate this so much

i know someone with your exact chart i think(almost)...i think you replied on that thread i cant remember for sure, but thats always been her problem, her insatiable need for power and control.. she tried to control me, but it was like trying to control a mirror of herself, which resulted in the dissolve of our "relationship". its like she has all this potential, but was too greedy, selfish, self contained to ever make it work.

she has a scorpio rising though which makes her even more nuts, but your libra rising(i hope im right) gives you more serenity.

your leo moon helps know how to be regal, and calm, and when to strike, her sag moon ran her mouth at all the wrong moments, she burned bridges and castles...

i have a strong sun/pluto/mars(like the title of your thread) influence and ive been learning about greed, jealously, and power can be dangerous....using power wisely is so vital to surivial in this world...*sigh* i understand your frustration with your chart....

I try and be so considerate of people and everything, I mean...it's always taken extra effort, but I've made it a key point of who I am.

I think having a Libra rising/Venus in the 1st makes it a little easier...but I mean often times, people mistake an overgenerous amount of caring for others and their problems as prying and trying to control/manipulate.

Pluto and Sun in 1st? Dear lord, you have a very powerful personality. With Venus in 1st and Moon in Leo, you have a warm and generous undertone, but most people will be put off by your strength. Use Venus and your Moon to soften your approach. It'll take some time but don't despair! You just need to listen to your Libra Rising and balance yourself.

I know how it is. I have Aries Rising with Scorpio Mars in 7th that opposes ASC. That combination predicts the many social blunders that I have made from moving too fast and coming on too strong.

alanabelle,
why is that a problem? If you feel powerful and/or power-consumed, then go ahead, girl, achieve your dreams. Why do you have to whine about this

first of all, i dont whine. secondly, it becomes a problem when i DO embrace it and everyone else b*tches and moans about it...it's like i cant be myself without someone crawling up my ass, excuse my french...usually i dont complain because i see it as a good thing but damn, it does get frustrating. just think, you go to say hi, or happy birthday, or hey you did good, or introduce yourself to someone and they get all touchy and stuff because you're "so in their face" or "come on way too strong" or something...

idk, its just annoying. i figured everyone else posts the littlest thing that ticks them off here, why don't i give it a shot for once?

gotcha, I didn`t understand you correctly before. I thought you complained of being feeling too much power-driven and power-consumed.... which is not so bad, having in mind the great things you might achieve if you put that drive in your advantage. Unfortunately, it does intimidate the timids around you

Does it really tick you off or is it a major soft spot?

Look at the brighter side, with energy like yours, you can accomplish and achieve so much more within a lifetime.

It's a bit of both, really. It hurts having to like constantly keep myself in check/moderation, in fear of not being able to keep people around in good company. It's an issue I've dealt with my whole life. It was worse when I was a child and in high school, when I was so desperate to be liked, and be cool, and fit in that I was pretty over the top personality wise and instead of drawing people in, I only made them think I was a nutcase.

In my current relationship, its killing me because I want nothing more than my love to see how deeply I care, and how much I would sacrifice and how much I just want to help and be there and guide him...but all he sees is me being "tyrannical, bossy, and arrogant". I think that's a more of a Venus retrograde thing though, Blah, idk. I guess theres a positive and negative to everything.

yea, maybe i am whining now... i sure do talk a lot

Btw, my birthday is October 26th, 25.5 hours away

Read interpretations for Natal Saturn in Scorpio to gain more clues. Pay attention to anything which rings true for you. Saturn in the 8th House might also provide you more insights, especially if the interpretation offers ways of coping with its hindrances.

Sun in Aries
Mars in Scorpio, in 5th house
Saturn in Scorpio
Pluto in Scorpio
Eris conjucts with sun in Aries
Sun trines Uranus
Pluto squares AC
Pluto opposition Moon and Mercury
Saturn trines Venus
Saturn trines Lilith
Mars trines Venus
Mars trines Ceres in Aries
Mars opposition Chiron

I feel like i was born to save people and the world sometimes, Glaucus explained this with Eris ( nicknamed Xena in his words ) conjuction with my Sun in Aries. I have this supergirl attitude everywhere i go or maybe people around me makes me feel that way, they say they see me as a castle which can not be destroyed, it is like i am mixture of Buffy, Xena, the Bride ( Kill Bill )

Thanks, AJ. I did read the interpretations for Saturn/8th and in Scorpio...they did seem to fit, especially Saturn in the 8th. However, natally....My Saturn is in the 2nd house, in Sagittarius.

Would this apply by reciprocity, or is it something else? Just wondering why you mentioned those specific placements....

Alanabelle86, the same thing happens with me sometimes but mostly at home(4th house Pluto). Everytime I try to control it, when a relative or friend trys to pull their weight and put a handle on things, all my modesty go straight out the window. I've really tried to put a lock and key on these feelings, it is tough. Very similiar placements(especially aspects).

Mars in 1st
Mars conjunction ascendant
Pluto square ascendant
Moon conjunction Mars
Moon square Pluto
Mars square Pluto
Sun conjunction Pluto
Sun square ascendant
Sun square Mars
Mercury quintile Mars

------------------
Sun in Libra
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
Ascendant in Cancer

Thanks for looking into those. I had a feeling some of it would resonate with you. The only reason I mentioned that is because everyone here who has the Scorpio Saturn and/or 8th House Saturn admits to struggles with "control", being "tyrantical", or as you say "the need for power". Since Saturn is the Sign of restriction, having those control/power needs are extremely difficult to navigate - the Saturn energies creates an inertia which makes the person WANT to change, but also feels equally unable to.

Sometimes interpretations for placements other than your own will contain the same psychological symptoms, so reading them can be used to help give special insight. One combination of energies can feel very similar to another combination of energies, including the dynamics occuring when the Natal person is attempting to make an adjustment within themselves.

The energies which feel the same can always be found, and I could make a connection by pointing out your strong Scorpio/Pluto energies, plus the Moon in the 10th conjunct your MC (referring to the "Saturn" part of it).

Adding more to that "restrictive" feeling is your Moon Square Pluto, Mars Square Pluto, & Mars Opposite MC.

Since reading interpretations for each of these placements would require you to mentally combine them to create an overall picture, I suggested reading just ONE interpretation which resonates the same overall picture - and if the interpretation offers clues on how to "manage" the challenges, even better.

My Natal Jupiter Conjunct Saturn in Capricorn, which is Opposite my Moon in Cancer & part of my T-Square, has forced me to learn a lot about patience, timing, and going Godspeed. Sometimes finding a strong spiritual base from which to grow from is just the ticket, but the search takes time and you must allow yourself time. This in turn will help you create "time" for others to do and learn in THEIR at their own pace as well. You will then experience a new form of forgiveness.
