William's recent chart interp for me stated that Mercury opposite Saturn equals, "a very reflective nature and not one to waste words. Very selective and correct analysis, but also a bit reclusive." He said that Uranus loosely square to Jupiter means, "very intelligent, possible genius, if you've trained your mind. Can indicate a rebel, but shows a radical search for truth. Can indicate a tyrannical bent especially around ignorant people." Finally he said uranus/chiron midpoint conjunct Jupiter equals a, "super researcher as the intuitive grasp of knowledge is combined with incisive critical analysis. 1) Mercury in Virgo or Aquarius conjunct/sextile/trine Uranus, 3rd house or 7th house or 11th.2) Mercury in Gemini conjunct/sextile/trine Jupiter, again 3rd or 7th or 11th house. If 1 and 2 in combo [Mercury trine Jupiter sextile Uranus for exmple], then supreme brilliance can be acquired. IP: Logged |

IQ is just 25% necessary for winning.
Emotional Quotient, Ethics, People Skills and Attitude are what count for true success. Besides, your Mercury is blessed by Mars, so there is not too much overall affliction.IP: Logged |

I have a hard to pinned down mind,intelligence with my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia. My overall mind,intelligence cannot be measured including have scores ranging from high average to impaired including my highest score in visual construction and my lowest score in immediate visual memory. I am very visual picture thinker who can think problems through outside the academic setting. Outside the box thinker.

Glaucus with all those aspects with Mercury attached, no wonder you have the gift of 'gab'! People with an abundant amount of Mercury always can get their point across with no problem, one aspect I wish I personally had is Mercury conjunction Pluto(very strong communication). its the packed 3rd house tooMercury,Venus,Jupiter,and Neptune in 3rd and Sun is in 2nd house 3 degrees from 3rd house cusp. as well as Midheaven,Saturn,Pallas in Gemini. Even asteroid,Hermes(named after greek version of Mercury)is almost exactly conj my Moon in 6th which is also a house ruled by Mercury. I don't always get my point across with no problem. I always had problems expressing myself in some way including especially in childhood. Remember I have a history of speech problems and I had intensive speech therapy. Nuns thought I was speaking foreign language when I was in preschool,when it was really unintelligible,disorganized,jumbled up,reverse speech. I still have problems with speech(mumbling as well as can be rapid, loose,tangential,rambling which was mistaken for bipolar,psychotic speech by psychiatrists). I strongly that's reflected by the Neptune in 3rd t-square,Mercury parallel Neptune,and Mercury conj Sun/Neptune midpoint IP: Logged |

if this is within 8 degrees 30' then this is termed "combust" and is a weakening configuration. http://www.astrologyweekly.com/dictionary/combust.php Wilson says "there seems manifest a difference in genius and propensities of natives, according to the distance of their Mercury from the Sun; and that those whose Mercury is combust have little wit or solid judgment, though they will persevere in business and frequently with good success." Ive got Aqua Mercury making these aspects:-conjunct Mars/Sun in Aqua
-conjunct Pallas in Cap
-opposite Jupiter
-trine Gemini Asc I know Im intelligent, but dont think or consider myself brilliant or a genius. Once in a while I do come up with Ah-ha moments...I do like to come up with random connections. But my thoughts come and go very quickly, and I think quicker than my speech and communication allows...ie. my brain moves onto other ideas somehow related to the original idea in mind...so I forget my original response. But Glaucus you still have all that Mercury, which is better than hardly having any(I only have Mercury conjunction Sun and Jupiter square Mercury)which is why my foot seems to end up in my mouth alot! Lol  ------------------
