Even though I have studied Astrology since 1994 - I'm still discovering and learning new things about the subject. This year I have noticed when I start seeing a guy, I notice his moon sign more than his sun sign. (Yes I do know that what I man is looking for in a woman is reflected by his moon sign or venus sign.) I just never thought I would notice something like that.

My ex bf from earlier this year is an Aquarian with a Cancer moon - I found he behaved more like a Cancer than an Aquarian. This man that I'm seeing at the moment is An Aries with a Libran Moon - he seems more Libra to me than an Aries. He puts more emphasis on being in a relationship and that marriage is a good thing - but maybe my Libran Uranus doesn't want to hear about it....

Anybody have experiences like this?

Absolutely. Maybe it's because I'm a Cancer that I tend to notice people's moon sign behaviour very early on (both men and women). It's not that I can't see how their sign impacts their personality or behaviour, but at the end of the day I'm usually more aware of their emotional self than I am about their personality. It's more important to me.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing with a friend of mine. He has an Aquarius Sun (7), Mercury (7) and Venus (8) but he has a 1st house Leo Moon and a Leo Ascendant. He's very Leo like. I see bits of Aquarius in him but not a lot.

I am male.
I tend to act like my moonsign,Pisces even though I have Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio

My Sun is trine my Moon with 2'10 orb,and so I can easily conscious of,identify, and express my Pisces Moon traits.

My Mercury is parallel Neptune in 3rd,and so I can communicate in a Neptunian way like a Pisces

My Venus is parallel Neptune, and so I express love in a Neptunian way like a Pisces

the dispositor of my Scorpio planets,Pluto sextile Neptune,My Pisce Moon's dispositor

a guy who has Moon in aspect to his Sun could be more in touch with his feminine side and express his moon traits naturally

I think you may be on to something here. I had a friend who was seeing a Taurus/Scorpio. To me, he was very nice, charming, and most importantly...mellow. Hehe, she saw a whole different side to him. Lets just say he was anything but mellow .

My boyfriend's scorpio sun trines his moon in pisces. He doesn't have much of a problem expressing both energies now that he's with me. He's alot more generous than alot of the scorpios I know for one thing. He's pretty much the same way with his friends too. And yeah, I've seen his "softer side"...but don't tell him I told you.

There's a gem with a pisces moon whom my cappy friend went out with. I don't want to generalize but I think his moon came out in very "feminine" ways when he was with her. Like he would shop with her, they got facials together, manicures and pedicures, etc. Note that these are things he would never do when he was single. He was like her own live Ken doll....boy did I feel bad for him. He was very sweet to her though, I wonder why they broke up?

This is interesting...when I first met my boyfriend he seemed much more like his Sagittarian Sun and Scorpio Mars. He was mysterious and secretive as hell. And my god he could be an extremist. But at the same time, he appeared so carefree, and optimistic, and fun, and intelligent and adventurous and just so...idk...like the storybook western cowboy. Hands down. He was my cowboy

As we started dating, I've noticed that he definitely acts like his Aquarian Moon. It was like my cowboy molded into this super brainiac astronaut who lived on a planet eight billion years away from me. Luckily I still like that sort of thing..But anyway, the change was sort of drastic...from this openly opinionated, social, and super passionate guy to a cool, unaffected, genius, know-it-all who wasn't really interested or surprised by much..

Never realized howhard it was to shock an Aqua moon until I met him...

I know I'm the opposite, I act like my Moon when I first meet people, during the courtship phase, and once I get "comfortable enough" to start dating..which is rare (damned Aqua mars), I definitely let my true Scorpio nature take control...

Oh, there was a thread on that a long time ago. Guys taking on their Sun/mars combo during the "courtship" phase. It does make alot of sense too.

Yes I say so, this is the side of my partner that I have seen more of the more I know him. He is a gem with sco moon. I can see his very emotional, "dark", sensitive and verbally non-communicative side to him.

I find my sun sign traits and it's aspects comes out when I'm seeing a man. I hear the big complaint that I'm too freedom loving and noncommital. Though I find when meeting people, my moon sign stuff is out there - timid and shy, retiring and highly sensitive, taking in the scenery and really enjoiying the food.......

Ever seen 2 leos together? Not pretty.

My ex lover and I have conjunct leo moons with 2 deg orb. Talk about stubborn, proud and dramatic!

We're both pisces but I only ever saw the leo in either of us.

Oh yes...my boyfriend has a Cancer moon and he could be the poster boy for Cancers. I love it though. Having the moon in Cancer is usually a very strong position in itself- you can usually tell when someone has their moon in Cancer...same goes with Scorpio.

But then again my ex was a Leo sun/Taurus moon and all I could see was the Leo in him...

I think you might be right ID. I think it works both ways as well.

It seems to me, that when people are just starting to get to know you, you appear as your ascendant. Your true sun comes out to the family and friends you are closest to and your moon sign is reserved for your partner. I think if you look closely enough, you can see a blend of all three though!

My fella comes across as a very intelligent but picky worrier to his aquaintances. That must be his virgo rising.
To his close friends and family, he is his stubborn but loyal taurus sun.
And in private, I get to see his soppy, compassionate pieces moon.
He's liable to switch between the three at any time though!

With me, it's much the same. I usually make a good first impression with my cheerful leo rising.
Once you've known me a while, I'm obviously my reliable taurus sun (still stubborn though!)
Emotianally, I am definately my random aquarius moon. My boyfriend sometimes accuses me of having an on-off switch to my emotions!
Like my fella, I wobble between the top three a lot.

My ex was a cappy sun/moon and aries rising. He was all cappy, except when he was angry!
Another ex was just like his cancer moon and I was surprised when he told me he was a sag!!!

So yes, I think you're bang on!

Yes I agree too!
Sag moon in 10th house - it's either an abrupt run-and-scoot (Sag) or quiet and withdrawn regarding feelings (10th house)! I've seen him change after ups and downs, and he's learning .
Actually I think I sort of behave like my moon sign too, in a way. Anyway relationships are about feeling, so behaving like the moon sign is pretty understandable.

Oh yes, Scorpio Moon in love always.

If you can't handle intensity once you get past the Piscean charm you may have quite the shock.

Most run.

Yes, I'm right with you guys on this. My guy acts soooooo much more like his Scorp moon than his pisces sun. I find it more in his motivations and actions. It's interesting to me because so many of his traits are so textbook scorpio, that I've never even met a scorpio sun that dispayed these traits so prominently. He's HIGHLY sexed, extremely passionate, very aggressive in business, highly competitive in sports or business matters, he can be bossy and is generally a dominant personality, and he's also quite jealous...to the point where he'll use his fists. He's also cheated death more times than anyone I've ever met...and in extreme circumstances. The phoenix is very prominent in him.

The Pisces is the general side...how you might describe him if you didn't really know him. A hippy, soulful guy with a sweet and laid back disposition. He's also a HUGE music lover. When I really detect the pisces side to him is when I often finish his thoughts, or say exactly what he was thinking before he has a chance to utter the words...I know that that's the common factor between us coming through, since I've got the pisces moon.

But generally...definitely more Scorpio.

If he has Virgo Ascendant, that means that he has Pisces Descendant too. Pisces Descendant can indicate that he can be Piscean in relationships.

I have Virgo Ascendant/Pisces Descendant and Pisces Moon square Neptune myself.

Oh yes, that's very true. Thanks Glaucus.

I love the piecean side to my fella. He seems to understand people so well and he's really true of heart, underneah it all. He's a wee cry-baby though!!!

I can say the same for my boyfriend whos Sun is in Scorpio and Moon in Cap. When we first met he acted very Scorpion like(to a T) intense ,sexual, mysterious and it was great(with a touch of Cap), but then being together with him few a few years all of a sudden he acts like a Capricorn big time(the goat just leaped out at me). Which sometimes clashes with both my Sun and Moon sign, but I've learned to cope.

------------------
Sun in Libra
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
Ascendant in Cancer

I "FEEL" therefor I am

My Husband has always been very Leo to me, but with a soft Romantic flare (Pisces moon). I don't think I could ever remember him not being more Leo than Pisces. Leo is romantic, assertive, loves to spoil - but maybe it is in the way he does it. Rather than shower me with materialism, he gives me cards and flowers full of the most beautiful words I have ever read.

He makes CD's for me with music that speaks volumes yet he is still very Leo in his manners and how he courted me. Emotionally and spiritually we are very much the same- but we also have so many compatable aspects that even from the beginning there was no pretention- we felt like old friends that just met.

He and I both have Virgo risings and Pisces rules our 7th house. His moon conjuncts his DC and my Aries moon is in my 7th house.

I guess I would have to say that in my past experience I've seen more of the rising sign OR with First house suns- more of an Aries / Leo like nature than the moon sign.
