I honestly believe that synastry is all about chemistry...the biological interactions between two people. I believe the whole idea of a synastry is reading is to show how they interact with each other. I am not talking about actions. I am talking about innate, unconscious, automatic responses. I also believe that synastry can also indicate what lessons that the couple can learn from each other. I believe that the whole idea of synastry is about awareness of how two people affect each other. If you are aware of how you affect your partner, you can control your actions which can lead to infinite possible reactions from your partner. However, you can't control how the your partner reacts to you. He/she control his actions which can lead to infinite possible reactions from your partner. He cannot control how you react to him. Synastry is a mutual interaction, response concept. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. I believe that this applies to relationships. I believe that it does have to do with cause and effect or karma.
I feel that the natal chart is the same way. It can reflect our biological makeup. It can show us our innate, unconscious, automatic responses to life. I also believe that the natal chart indicates the lessons that we are here to learn. I believe that the whole idea of the natal chart is for the individual to have self awareness. If the person is aware of how he/she is, he can control his actions. He can take control of the steering wheel and drive straight on the road to the destination that he wants to be. If he has problems and ends up taking a detour,he can get them resolved and get back on the road to his path.
Another thing, I don't focus on an aspect and determine the possibilities because of it. I look at the overall chart or the overall interaction between the charts. Symmetrical planetary geometry give really good clues to the relationship. I also look at the composite chart because that is the chart of the relationship itself. I also compare composite chart to each natal chart to see how the relationship affect each individual.
I feel that the first thing to do when checking synastry is check both natal charts and see how they are in relationships. For instance,if a person has Venus oppose Uranus. He could have problems settling down in a relationship even though the gal's Saturn is trining his Moon for some stability. Also if the gal's Saturn squares his Venus-Uranus opposition, her structure could cause a lot of stress and conflict that aggravates the unpredictable, independence issues of his Venus oppose Uranus even though it can have a stable effect for a awhile. A t-square can indicates a roller coaster like relationship..especially if it involves Uranus which is the planet of unpredictability and change.
Transits to the natal chart are in important because they indicate temporary states that the person is in that might influence how he/she behaves which can have impact on the relationship. The same with secondary progressed and solar arc natal charts. Transits to synastry aspects are shared experience transits which indicate that their chemistry is going through temporary changes that can impact their relationships. The same with comparing secondary progressed chart and solar arc chart with each other's natal chart. Transits to the composite chart can indicate temporary states that the relationship is in. The same with solar arc and secondary progressed composite charts.
Astrology is very complex and interwoven like. There are no real absolutes, definites in Astrology. That's the same with life in general.
We all have chromosomes, genes,DNA. They are all important because they make up our biological make up. We have the free will to use our chromosomes, genes,DNA. I feel the same way about our astrological placements, aspects. To me, the natal chart is like celestial biological makeup. When it comes to Astrology, I believe in synchronicity and not cause and affect.
I am a believer of psychological and transformational/evolutionary Astrology.
