Don't get me wrong, I'm an avid believer in this...but it never fails to amaze me.I looked up some significant events in my life...especially in the year 2004..(the most dramatic, life changing) and everytime.... Uranus and/or Saturn, was conjunct my Natal Ascendant.. but mostly Uranus... Turns out, my Solar return Ascendant for that year was 29 degrees Aquarius with Uranus on my Ascendant... Example: My Prom The Ascendant (event) was at 8 degrees Sagittarius..conjunct my Natal Saturn by '27 degrees. (Prom was horrible for me, dowright depressing...I had possibly the worse time I'd ever had at anything in my life. Everything went wrong, I felt horrible, there was so much negative energy going around, and I was scammed out of 1000 bucks..It really changed the way I tend to overidealize things and amp things up..I got too hopeful and since I was so severely let down, I taught myself to not get so worked up anymore) My Graduation The Ascendant (event) was at 21 degrees Sagittarius conjunct my Natal Uranus by less than 2 degrees.. My first weekend away from home @ an Orientation session for college The Ascendant (event) was at 20 degrees Sagittarius, conjunct my natal Uranus by '16 degrees (I finally was able to tap into my real self and figure out who I am, what I want, and see myself for the first time without someone molding the image to what they want me to see )
When I moved into college The Ascendant was at 29 degrees Sagittarius..widely conjunct my Uranus by 9 degrees When I met my current love The Ascendant was at 17 degrees Sagittarius, conjunct my Uranus by a little over 1 degree...
My first kiss to my (current love) The Ascendant was at 10 Sagittarius conjunct my natal Saturn by 2 degrees.... My first "intimate connection" ever was with him (my current love).. The Ascendant was at 7 Sagittarius, exactly conjunct my natal Saturn My love, with many planets conjunct my Saturn and Uranus (5 to be exact) and with Planets in Aquarius following that Uranus trend, has really changed my life for the better I could go on, but I wanna hear the stories of others....does anyone else notice trends like this? Of course other connections are between the charts...but the constant Sagittarius Ascendant at all these events and more, I just haven't listed...has left me bewildered...

Your findings are fascinating.I am not surprised. Astrology is good at looking at events. Cosmobiology and Uranian Astrology is very event-oriented astrology. They only use the conjunction, opposition, square, semisquare, sesquiquadrate because they believe those are the event-oriented aspects. They believe the soft aspects are psychological. It's hard to talk about event-oriented astrology because there will be people who get on our case for using Astrology as an excuse or crutch or looking too hard to find something to justify what happened to us. This is not just from skeptics of Astrology but also believers in Astrology. It's hard to be an astrologer with all this in mind. That's how I feel as an astrologer. It's probably why I am not a professional astrologer. I don't want to deal with a lot of criticism from nonbelievers, skeptics nor do I want people to give me a hard time for practicing stuff that they don't believe in. I actually keep my metaphysical practices beliefs secret from many people....especially from mental health professionals and fundamental religious types. That's why I don't even discuss event-oriented Astrology here.
I believe that event-oriented Astrology has its place in Astrology. IP: Logged |

I absolutely agree that this works. I have run far to many event charts for me to NOT give it creedence. In my case I also use relocation. I was born in Orange Ca. I have lived on the east coast for most of my life. A great distance. After running chart after chart [particularly with name asteroids as well] Has led me to the firm belief that event charts, relocation charts of a significant distance, and name asteroids deserve our attention. I also agree that sometimes I look for validation, yes vindication thru astrology. And with my Neptune pathology....yes with Neptune it Can be pathology. I must look for what is. Not the other way around. It is downright scary when you see these placements. The hardest part is you know due process. The next question is Predictive Astrology. I frankly don't don't have the distance, from self, to dip my toes in those waters. Great topicIP: Logged |

Oh well, this is interesting! The day I fatedly bumped into my boyfriend on the street and he asked me out, the ascendant was Sagittarius! Sun, moon and mercury were in the 7th house, conjunct my venus and part of fortune; vertex was conjunct my sun in the 5th, and venus was in my 7th. (Vertex was conjunct his ASC and venus was conjunct his sun and part of fortune, Jupiter beginning to transit his 7th).Once, for fun, we ran a chart on the time our kitchen kettle boiled dry and broke. Mars (trouble, violence) was on the ascendant (Aquarius, the water bearer).

Hey you may be on to something here. I even found some nice suprises....When I met him, The Asc was in Pisces conjunct my NN ans squaring his, saturn was sitting on my sun at the time, there was also an eclipse that day, venus was in the 7th, and the sun was in the 8th. IP: Logged |

When I met my ex, t.Neptune was crossing over my DC, opposing my Moon conj AC. It also completed my Moon/Sun/Saturn T-square. (Funny, cos the guy's a Pisces.)Our composite is pretty scary ... we have a stellium in the 12th, all opposite Pluto. Also have Moon conj Saturn and sq Neptune. When we broke up, t.Chiron crossed over my DC. And t.Saturn was conj my Moon on the AC. My Moon was wedged between Chiron and Saturn. Hah! Recently, t.Chiron completed my T-square *again* and some pretty rough stuff happened, but it's calm again (for now). Eh, c'est la vie, no? * edit... Oh yeah, t.Saturn is in his 7th house right now. Poor guy. It's in my 1st. I get a neat Christmas gift though. Jupiter Return. IP: Logged | |
