What would indicate this in the chart?

I know Pisces/12th house/Neptune and feet but I know its more than that too...

Your ideas? Does it fall into the arts category? (Venus/Neptune) How about Mars? A lot of amazing dancers I know have Mars opposite/square Venus or Neptune..

My best friend is a dancer (examined dancer; but she`s doing it only as a hobby now).
She has Mercury, Venus, Mars, Pluto conjunction in Libra in 5th house.
Saturn in 3rd house and Neptune in 6th house are sextile this stellium. So, she has also discipline and inspiration, as you need as a dancer. Oh, and her midheaven is in Pisces, maybe that indicates the fluid movements.
She`s also choreographing a lot.

I would imagine Venus because Venus is graceful. I have a strong Venus [Venus in 1st in Aries, square Neptune sextile Pisces Rising] and I've been told I'm a good dancer, though I don't do it for a hobby or anything.

PS: Too much *@$!ing Neptune in my chart. Excuse the language.

Honestly, I'd think Libra has something to do with it. I've always felt comfortable dancing, and I have a 7th house stellium. Initially I would have thought it an earth sign thing, but a couple other friends of mine who can dance also seem to have good Libra influence.

As far as the Venus and Libra thing is concerned: I have Venus in Libra in the 7th House and I'm probably the worlds worst dancer...

Mars in Pisces. Mars well aspected by Venus or Neptune.

A Mars, Mercury, Neptune trine.

Those are just guesses.

Has anyone looked up the chart of famous dancers like Noureyev, Bejart, Baryshnikov, Gene Kelly etc...

quote:
MARS represents the body and muscles, motion, bodily movements and activity, energy, initiative, the sex drive (especially in men), war, weapons of war, aggression, anger, violence, temper, belligerency, the soldier, the warrior, violence, accidents, sudden disruptions (including accidents), competitiveness, athletic competition, and the athlete. Since Mars rules the body, it has dominion over what we do with the body, such as athletic endeavors, dance and ballet, and also pure physical labor. Mars is associated with pure physical attraction of the body, as distinguished from emotional and even sexual attraction. Venus rules female sexuality, but Mars is the ruler of male sexuality. Mars governs initiative and being a person of action, as opposed to indecision and excessive contemplation. It also rules the dancer and farmer, laborer and carpenter, and any profession that has a primary requirement of using the body. Mars signifies crudness, vulgarity, macho attitudes, and the he-man.

~From Magi Astrology's Planet interps (I have all of them typed out incase anyone wants to read what another planet interpretation says)

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Dancing is one of the things that I am very good at. People have complimented me in the past. I went clubbing/dancing a lot when I was in the navy...especially in San Francisco when I was stationed in the Bay area. One of the things that makes me a very good dancer is that I am profoundly influenced by the vibrations of the music. It's like the beat controls my body. Another reason is that I am very flexible and some say double-jointed,and that helps me to do spins, turns, and twists. I can do a lot of fancy footwork. My best dancing is to high energy dance music like house, techno,Eurodance stuff.
I was late bloomer too...it wasn't until I was 22 years old, that I really found myself as a dancer. At 23 years old, I was mainly going to clubs to dance to high energy dance music. I also am better at dancing when I make up my own dance moves. I visualize my dance moves before I do it. Like I said before in other posts, I visualize every single thing before I do it. That's my compensatory strategy.
The contradicting thing about all this is that I am clumsy, not well coordinated in daily activities ...it's like the music brings it out the grace in me.

It's like people who stutter lose their stuttering when they sing.
I believe all that has to do with right hemisphere activity.

I think that my indicators are:

Moon in Pisces trine Sun with 2'10 orb with Saturn quincunx Sun and square Moon - the late bloomer Dancer

Mercury-Venus-Neptune parallel with Saturn contrparallel that configuration - the late bloomer Dancer

Venus in Scorpio in 3rd square Mars in Aquarius in 6th

Mars in Aquarius in 6th square Neptune in 3rd

I really really love dancing...any kind...I love watching dancing, too, especially ballet.

I don't know what in my chart would indicate this, but regarding Neptune, I have Neptune in my 1st house & Venus sextile Neptune.

I love dancing, too, and I'm trying to find some lessons nearby of the kind I want... bellydance or a kind of a ballet combined with ritual "amazon" stuff... but I don't know if they do that anymore. ^_^ I don't know if my chart would indicate dancing or not... I have Aries Ascendant, Mars in Aries first house, Venus Sextile Mars in Gemini, third house, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter in 4th house, Pluto in Scorpio Seventh house (I have an interception), and Moon, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn in Capricorn tenth house. (Double lines in Cancer/Capricorn, no lines in Pisces or Virgo). I also have psyche and Eros in Taurus. ...I don't seem to have enough Libra or Venus influence, and with nothing in Pisces I guess that means something too... hmm. I can learn, though!

BTW...I would look at at Sun,5th house,Leo,and aspects and placements involving them.

I feel that dancing is a form of self expression. It can also be a stress reliever.

When I was dancing,it was a way of expressing myself. It was also a way to relieve stress when I was in the US Navy. Going clubbing, dancing was the perfect way for me to relieve stress.

Hey AG

I have got a 7th house stellium and Venus conj Neptune...and i LOVE dancing, like I can really let my body go!!!

One of my fave types of music was always rock/metal, and I used to do loads of headbanging, but its a killer on the neck the next day!

Was told that dance moves using hip movements are very good for unblocking the base chakra!!

Yes dancing is very much a veneral thing. Good dancers tend to have a lot of libra or tau in them, but more so libra. And I suppose as others have mentioned, a bit of good aspecting to neptune will always help. I think the moon will probably have some impact as in some ways, emotion is drawn upon when dancing as well as mars for the physicality of it.

My first amibtion was to be a ballerina. I've always loved dancing and do a bit of ballroom. I suppose any ability/love that I have for it is from lib moon and Tau SN. I also have aries rising (trine nep), which makes me lead when I am not supposed to. Also I have an unaspected venus which I am probably somehow trying to connect with

I looked at my book,THE RULERSHIP BOOK by Rex E. Bills

according to the book,
dancers, dancing, the dance is Venus,Taurus,Neptune,Pisces as well as Uranus which is in parenthases

dance halls is Leo

btw...I don't think there is any such thing as a good aspect or bad aspect.

Even Magi Society says that every aspect is a gift.

There are lot of successful people with t-squares just like there is a lot of unaccomplished people who have easy aspect configurations.

heck..I have a t-square involving 3rd house, I ended up having a gift for writing even though I had challenges in all forms of communications in childhood .....a late bloomer in developing language skills.

It all comes down to free will.

It's one of the reasons that I don't look at challenging aspects as lack of ability....it can be a gift..especially after a lot of practice.

I feel that willpower, passion, discipline, and inspiration are what enables people to achieve their dreams.

You see that in a lot of rags to riches stories.

I'm by no means a pro, but I did dance for awhile and played tennis throughout high school, I run now. In general I'm athletic and have good hand eye coordination. I have Mercury and Venus in Aries in the 10th house and Mars in Pisces (common for good dancers) and it's in the 9th. I'm Capricorn dominant (discipline) with Aries (movement, exercise) a close second. Saturn is my most dominant planet (discipline and follow through again) and my moon happens to be in Capricorn and I have a Capricorn stellium. I have no Libra at all.

I'm supposed to dance too, as part of my life purpose. For what it's worth, I also have a weak Mars (in Cancer) with Uranus, Neptune and North Node in Capricorn. Anyone have an interesting connection with asteroid Terpsichore?
