The purpose of the Planetary Preview Report is to describe the current
and approaching astrological trends in your life so you will have a
better understanding of your present situation and, more importantly, a
direction for the future. Day-to-day aspects are disregarded in favor of
a broader view. Astrology is a detached, objective, practical technique
of understanding time cycles as well as the archetypical meaning of the
planets and Signs themselves. All these combine with the features
inherent in your birth chart to create a constantly changing scenario: a
sort of personalized astrological weather report. Consciously learning
about the prevailing trends increases your choices in how to use the
available energy.

Your birth chart, or natal chart, is based upon your exact birth data -
date, time and place. It is a graphic representation of the positions
of the planets at the time you were born. Essentially, it is a moment
frozen in time, rather like a family photograph. Just like the people
in the photograph, however, the planets continue to move in their
cycles, and this motion affects your chart.

These ongoing motions of the planets are called transits. In this
report, the transiting planet (the planet whose current location is
affecting your chart) is listed first, then the specific aspect (the
exact mathematical relationship between the two planets) and lastly, the
planet from your chart is listed. Therefore the statement "Jupiter
conjunct Sun" means that Jupiter "in the sky" is in the same zodiac
location that the Sun was on the day you were born.

You may notice that a transiting planet contacts more than one of your
natal planets in a given time period. Any planets in your birth chart
that are closely linked to each other will also be activated by
transiting planets at the same time.

Certain transits are special. Each planet, in its circular orbit around
the Sun, eventually returns to the place where it was when you were
born. These are called returns, and they happen periodically throughout
everyone's life. Mars takes only 2 years for its orbit, so every other
year, you have a Mars Return. Jupiter returns occur every 12 years.
Everyone has their first Saturn return in their late 20's. Uranus takes
84 years to complete one orbit, so not all people reach the milestone of
the Uranus return. The outermost planets, Neptune and Pluto, are so far
away from the Sun that their orbits are longer than human life
expectancy. Even though these three planets do not provide the typical
return pattern, they make crucial, long-lasting aspects to your chart as
they slowly inch along. In fact, the astrological rule of thumb is
this: the longer a transit lasts, the more important it is, and the
greater the opportunity for personal growth.

Do not be surprised if there seems to be contradictory information in
your Planetary Preview. It is not at all unusual to be pulled in
different directions by two or three transiting planets whose energies
are not harmonious with each other. It can be difficult to juggle the
conflicting demands of various planets as they impact your chart and
your life patterns and responses.

TRANSITING JUPITER IN THE SECOND HOUSE--While Jupiter is transiting the
second house, you will be actualizing in your life whatever it is that
you value most. Although the second house is traditionally the house of
finances and material possessions, it also includes values that are more
spiritual--ideas, standard of justice, charity, etc. Consequently, it is
very important now to understand how you use your resources. You need to
look over your overall goals honestly and see what you really must have
in order to achieve them. Jupiter here indicates that you are likely to
get whatever it is you need, plus whatever might give you comfort. It is
also a time to give serious thought to what you can do with your

developments. Challenges from the outside world may make it difficult

do. Your vitality is low, and you may feel discouraged. Patience and
perseverance will carry you through until your energy level is up again,
so it might be best not to struggle too hard against adversity at this
time. Authority figures may be difficult, so be patient. This period is
linked to seven years ago which was a time of new beginnings, and some
of the things you started then are in crisis now. This is a period of
testing to determine whether or not those projects are valid for you

time to expand your activities, initiate new projects, and prepare to
experience life from a broader perspective. You may be able to remove

TRANSITING URANUS IN THE SIXTH HOUSE--Uranus is the planet of change,
sudden upsets, inventiveness, freedom, electricity and ingenuity. The
trick in using Uranus' positive forces is to avoid impulsiveness and
sudden changes as much as possible. The sixth house transit indicates
you will take a new attitude toward work and service, and possibly form
new relationships with it. It could indicate a change of jobs, but this
would usually not include a change of profession--more likely a change
of jobs within the profession or with the same organization. There will
be more emphasis upon personal freedom, and possible revolt against
