Does anyone know much about this? I am always interested to know if someones vocational aptitude can be ascertained through astrology. Recently I have noticed that people who are suited to their careers, from my observations, which includes getting into the profession easily, coping with the pressures, enjoying the setting, and profiting well financially and socially, were born in the years which are attributed to that profession: with incredible accuracy! The system runs in 9 year cycles; the year energy is considered your real, adult energy, and your month number your superficial childhood energy. IP: Logged |

Some books i have read, which give more info are 'Nine star ki' by Robert Sachs and 'Practical astrology by numbers' by Simon G. Brown.Recently I have been checking out all the teachers I know who have been successful and almost all were born in the years 2,6 and 8; and the ones who have been successful but not quite as much years 3 and 4. These findings correlate with the books pretty well! So far it has been the most reliable indicator of career suitability that Ive encountered; I cant really pin point any aspect of western astro, numerology or animal years that is very accurate, but I guess its hard to say... Your Nine Star Ki Number is One White Water It is good to tap into this person’s insight. Being the most yang number, they can be very comfortable when engaged in worldly pursuits, but are strongly attracted to the yin, spiritual aspects of life. This combination gives the 1 Water person a very strong intuition. These individuals can have a very subdued appearance but, inside, they are very strong. The evolved One Water seeks out people, religions, books; any means that will provide structure in their life. This inherent drive for structure does not come about because the 1 Water is a weak person. On the contrary, like water, this personality is very flexible and can flow in virtually any direction. Therefore the search is for definition, not to be pampered or held back. One Waters are very interested in observing others and in sexual relationships. They can keep their thoughts and feelings well hidden, but have a deep respect for the art of communication and are excellent listeners. One-waters can see "both sides of the coin", so their opinion is to be sought. Also, their intuition can be very strong. Any situation which takes a 1-water person out into the world, will tend to strengthen them. Don't put off taking action because you are afraid of making mistakes. Of course, it's important to think things through, but don't hold yourself back, indefinitely. One Water individuals born in 1954 (or early 1955) are unique to our times. They were born in a 1 Water year, in a 1 Water Nine Year Cycle, in a 1 Water 81 Year Cycle. They are the archetype of the ki of Water. They are the distillation of the values and the mindset of the early 20th Century. CLICK HERE FOR YOUR TIMELINE Positive Action: Understanding the facts. Comprehending the immediate situation. Strong Intuition. Clear communication. Associated Organs: Kidney, Bladder & Reproductive. Weaknesses: Organs associated with Fire & Soil energy. AG I'm a one white water too 1981.....kinda weird how we're the same one, no clue how these cycles work. I remember reading I was water in another oriental astrology book. Apparently water is the strongest of all the elements in oriental symbology. Brings to mind a scene in "Memoirs of a Geisha" where a woman claims the protagonist is "water" and therefore she is trouble. The forecast is pretty good too. It said that 2000-2002 were the hardest years of my life, and they certainly were, 2001 was the worst year of my life. How were those years for you AG? IP: Logged |

That's pretty cool BlueRoamer. The years 2000 - 2002... hmmmm... there were many trials during that time of my life. Fortunately for me, my memory of my own life isn't always that great, so whatever happened during those years I'm pretty well over. I do believe it may have been a time of trials, stress, and uncertainty, though, and could be the foundation of my belief that everything works out in the end. If I were to pick my worst years, I'd probably pick 91 - 94, but that chart says "familiar". Those were my depressed years in Tennesse, which lead to such nice things as smoking and joining the Navy. Fortunately neither of those things afflict my life anymore either. IP: Logged |

Challenging/Opportunistic events according to the chart were in 1977, 1981, 1986, 1990, 1977, 81, 1995, 1999, 2004 Five Yellow Soil
This personality assessment is based on the ki of your year of birth. If you have read it before, you can proceed to the "monthly forecast" link, at the bottom of this page. A good manager and controller of ventures, projects and households. The 5 Soil can be found in all walks of life, from the very humble to the highest circles of wealth and power. Wherever they are, events and people tend to center around them. It is not as if they are in the limelight and they are not necessarily the center of attention. But they possess a power and control to such an extent that it would be difficult for the other 8 types to fathom. They are inscrutable. If you are not a Five Soil person, the best time to get an idea of their characteristics is when you occupy the 5 Soil annual position. When you are in the position of another number, you take on some of the attributes that are associated with that personality. Since 5 Soils are in the "center", both positive and negative situations move towards them. It is their nature to make use of the good aspects and to turn the other energies away, or to manage them into a more beneficial state. Five Soils collect things. Some collect people and build large organizations. Some collect stamps. The evolved 5 Soil knows they are a 5 Soil. Not necessarily because they have studied Nine Star Ki. They come to know that their thoughts and actions can have a profound influence upon the well-being of others and they use their energy towards that end. Being the balancing influence, they don’t appreciate sudden change, so time is required for new ideas and directions to take root. Positive Action: Self reflection. Helping the needy and the ill. Defining group goals. Associated Organs: Pancreas, spleen and stomach. Weaknesses: Organs associated with Water and Tree energy. Signs of Imbalance: Wishy washy or uncaring attitude. Greed. Yin & Yang: Desire to Rule / Desire to Serve

jason from oz - i didn't forget about you. what's your number? The Nine Principal Numbers and What They Mean The quickest way to find out your three Nine Star Ki numbers is to visit this site http://www.chhub.com/ (doesn't seem to work) and fill in your birth data. You will receive a detailed reading of your personal principal number, and you will also receive the character and energetic number without looking at complicated charts. The principal number shows what pattern you were born under, and gives a great deal of information about your personality and fundamental nature. Full descriptions of each principal number are given from pages 32-70 of the book Feng Shui Astrology. Here is a brief synopsis of each, for easy reference: 1. Number 1 White Water Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching trigram K'an and represents the energy of the Middle Son. The color is white or transparent. Number One White Water star people are very flexible, sensitive and intuitive people. They can have a subdued appearance, but inside are very strong. They make good arbitrators, lawyers, or mediators. 2. Number 2 Black Soil Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching trigram K'un and represents the energy of the mother. The color is black. They are very reliable and steadfast people, with strong ideals. They are very patient people - but although our text says they are not natural born leaders, they can be great leaders if they perceive a need to be of service. 3. Number 3 Bright Green Tree Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching trigram Chen and represents the energy of the Eldest Son or Thunder and Awakening. The color is bright green. They are very active people with the energy of Spring. They like to explore and are full of new ideas and fresh opinions. They are open and honest, and can be frank to the point of bluntness 4. Number 4 Green Tree Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching Trigram Sun and represents the energy of the Eldest Daughter or Wind. The color is dark green. They make great experts on any subject, and are romantics and idealists. They enjoy lofty ideals, and are very sensitive people. They make good counselors as they are good listeners. 5. Number 5 Yellow Soil Star: This star has no symbolism and represents the axis or center upon which all the other signs revolve. The energy is of the 7th Child - as such, this sign takes on a different familial quality - almost as an outside influence. They are strong leaders and find themselves the center of any group they are part of. They are great business managers, and love to collect things. 6. Number 6 White Metal Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching Trigram Ch'ien and the energy of Heaven. The familial energy is of the Father, and the color is White. These people are stolidly practical and are strong leaders. They have very strong ethical values and are noble in manner. They are the most loyal of all the signs, and make great leaders of any organization. 7. Number 7 Red Metal Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching Trigram Tui and the energy of the Lake. The familial energy is that of the Youngest Daughter, and the color is red. 7 Red Metal people are fun loving and enjoy nice clothing and accessories. On the outside, they appear superficial, but are strong on the inside. They are charismatic and expressive in nature, and make great public speakers. 8. Number 8 White Soil Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching Trigram Ken, and the energy of the Mountain. The familial energy is that of the Youngest Son. These people are kind hearted, generous and family oriented. They have good luck with investments and business, and are strong and stable. They are deep thinkers and very resilient. 9. Number 9 Purple Fire Star: This star is symbolized by the I Ching Trigram Li, and by the element of Fire. The familial energy is that of the Middle Daughter, and the color is purple. These people are great initiators and idea's people, but can fall short on the follow through. They are warm and passionate, and intense like the Sun. They can be very changeable as well. They excel in public relations and sales jobs.

Hey guys,From the books Ive read, which seem more straight forward than the info these websites have presented, I have ascertained the following points regarding careers, and to quite a large degree my personal observations have reinforced these points: NUMBER 1: healer, artist, muso, therapist, sex worker (ooh baby!). From my exp, these people think and talk about sex a lot!! NUMBER 2: mother, primary school teacher, HR, nurse... These dudes are very other person focused, and as such are good at jobs that deal with others welfare. Many of my friends who have recently got into teaching, with amazing ease, are 2's NUMBER 3: Brainy jobs! - scientist, IT, architect, business analyst, software designer, business person. In my exp make ok teachers too NUMBER 4: writer, editor, film dir, script writer, media exec, travel/marketing consultant. In my exp are very senstive/creative and ok teachers. NUMBER 5: wild fires/free spirits; these dudes can do any job, and I met lots working over seas - adaptible/independant. Ive noticed many run own business, or want too, or are happy doing untrained kinda stuff. NUMBER 6: the boss! - planner, manager, admin, engineer. This is a classic teacher year - but can be despots! NUMBER 7: business heads! accountants, stockbroker, banks, night club owner, jeweller. These guys are really good with money I reckon. Number 8: finance, property, trader, business, actor, and the ultimate teacher. From my exp these can teach better than anyone before they ever start - in a school sense I mean. NUMBER 9: sales, PR, public servant, laywer fash des, comedian, actor, famous anything, social organiser. These dudes love the limelight and are super social. Natural leaders sheerly through being fabulous, and love being busy , but kinda self obsessed. Im a teacher, and these dudes arent listed as teachers; in fact, since looking Ive hardly met any 9 teachers. Worries me abit. Hoped Ive helped you guys IP: Logged |
