I have Saturn direct in the 10th house... My father left when I was a child.. but I was never close to him anyway.. wasn't much of a loss. I always saw my mom in the 10th because she was the financial stability in my life... Even when my father was around.. My mom worked NOT my father.. which is why I think she fits there perfectly!

I do have quite a few planets RX Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Neptune. I actually thought my Saturn was too.. so I went back and checked.. I guess having so many I figured it was also lol

quote:
Oddly, Saturn retrograde individuals have the potential to be great teachers, because they have experienced so much of life at it's many and diverse levels.

I knew it.

Here's something I got in an email from astrology.com..

quote:
Saturn is often considered the taskmaster planet. And when it goes retrograde? Well, there're no two ways about it: Issues of authority come to the fore, and a conservative attitude toward responsibilities creeps into even the most free-spirited souls. Whether consciously or not, you will probably experience the effects of Saturn's retrograde -- which will last until April 19, 2007 -- as a time to reflect on past decisions and learn from your mistakes ... and definitely not a time to charge easily toward your goals.

That said, Saturn's energy, which rules issues of control and organization, lends itself well to making sound judgment calls as well as wise investments, if both sense and sensibility are properly utilized.

quote:
Saturn turning retrograde puts a challenging spin on achieving success, but the planet also rules issues of leadership, making this the ideal time to establish your own boundaries, strive for self-improvement and unleash your creativity on the world. Furthermore, when your goals have been met, you'll be that much more satisfied at having cleared this astrological stumbling block! On the way, you'll also have learned a lot about yourself and clarified your perspective.

And a little something else about the saturn rx transit from theastrologer.com...

quote:
Saturn, the planet of boundaries and life lessons, is retrograde about thirty-six percent of the time. And just like Jupiter, the stations of Saturn -- the points at which Saturn seems to turn around in its orbit -- are the most important times in the cycle, and are also related to trines from the Sun. When it's retrograde, Saturn shines its baleful, beautiful yellowish light on us all night long.

Saturn already has the reputation of being a downer. How could four-and-a-half months of Saturn Retrograde possibly be a positive thing? Well, easily. Instead of getting more serious, folks back off a little bit. It's a time to take a little breather from the usual breakneck pace that most people keep these days. Don't worry, you'll still get plenty of work done; it's not like Saturn changes personality during this period. It's just that the sense of urgency and anxiety relaxes somewhat. Doesn't that sound like a relief?

Sometimes old tasks come back to haunt you during Saturn Retrograde. If so, you'll have to reorganize your priorities and keep your perspective. What's important to do now, and what can wait? Let others, especially those in authority, know about the changes. Reduce your expectations somewhat. Don't cave in altogether, though; that won't make Saturn happy!

This is not a good time to break away and start something new, but it's a fine time to plan for the projects you'll begin when this planet goes direct again. Take the time to do things right on the first attempt. Watch for authority issues -- another domain of Saturn. As always, Saturn wants us to develop patience. It's good for the soul!

Stargazer, I have Saturn Retrograde in Aries also (5th house), and my situation is exactly the same. Growing up, it was VERY hard to communicate with my father because he can be tempermental and unreasonable. Once I moved out things got better, and he has definitely mellowed with age.

To my mind, Saturn retrograde isn't so nasty as direct Saturn. Actually, i am outraged, that Saturn is so far in Leo. Go back, Saturn! I don't need a Square

My Saturn is Rx

My farther was absent while growing up. I lacked a consistent male figure in my life *sigh*

I’m rational but certainly no wet blanket

One of my teachers advised me against continuing my studies.

We had a fight.

I went to class anyway.

D-

Wow... you have had it pretty harsh lately and yes, it does sound like Saturn issues. I think it is great that you are able to vent and that you realized, although in a painful way, to always trust your intuition.

I wonder if he realized that the pupil knew more than the teacher and that is why he didn't want you to take the course?

How are things now?

So far so good.

I'm about to complete my autumn term of the course.

It's getting better and better.
