Topic: xmas is around the corner. gift ideas for that special taurus lady?

okay so this thread is especially for the guys lucky enough to be dating the ever so sensual and incredible taurus hotties:what are some of your ideas? lets throw them around! I want to get her a lot of small meaningful things: -zodiac ring is at the forefront. its hard cause she KEEPS claiming she doesn't want anything..no matter how much I try and get it out of her! she tells me that me coming on that plane is enough for her but.. -some matching mittens to this really cool pair of Tibeten slipper things she got at this hippie shop we both frequent.
-she can never have enough scarfs, ha
-defiantly some folk rock burned cds, she loves the guitar!
-taurus gag magnet..listing all the negative qualities
-a book about travelling. it has to have some inspiring story about travel because we want to see the world as well
-a stuffed lion. even though she is not into astrology I call her my french lion cause of her leo asc and she does admit to liking lions and acting like them from time to time.
-teddy bear picnic childs story as sort of a gag gift because we are always telling each other "there is a kid in you". plus she wants to be a teacher.
-if i feel the need the cliche chocolates but come on, thats to easy!
-something simpsons related cause we always cuddled up to watch that. i turned her into a huge fan..maybe even season 9.

Yes I"m a taurus girl, we like chokers and pretty necklaces that show our throats off, I would also stay away from the gag negative quality magnet.. umm yeah no.. does she like scented bath stuff.. I live at bath and body.. like a gift basket with bubble bath and lotions and all the girly phoo phoo stuff this Taurus likes.. music is good, jewelry is good.. something for me can be homemade and even a little cheesy if it means they were payting attention.. I love it when someone actually hears me in conversations, remembers past talks about something that got me excited and I really loved and they do something special, try to make it, or something of that nature..then I get all mushy and googy... a gift certificate for a day at the beauty shop would be nice.. she can get a facial or a massage or her hair done.. us taurus girls like to pamper ourselves IP: Logged |

thanks for your advice!as for the chocolate..ha, i may not do it cause as I said, to cliche i was thinking of soap type stuff and a necklace as well. the throat/taurus connection I have not heard but it makes sense now that I think of it  . the gag magnet..well i hid a bunch of things in her bag before she left this summer, of all things that will remind her of me..a hat, signs, stuffed animal ect. one of which was a scorpio magnet with all the negative descriptions and a sign that said "from your scorpio lover..its a pretty popular magnet..they have all the astrological signs with all the bad qualities of each sign as a joke. so she would understand IP: Logged |

My mother is a Taurus.Some ideas that were always hits with her. - Sweaters. Especially ones that cover the neck. (It really is true about Taurus and the neck thing). - Any kind of jewerly... this woman never gets enough. - Anything that feels really nice. Silk pillows, scarves, cashmere blankets - Scented candles - Scented bath oils. Be careful of this one... I've bought my mother countless bath sets and she never uses them... she just sits them around for looks when they come in those pretty basket thingies. I guess you could just buy individual lotions, oils, etc. and wrap them yourself... maybe if they're not so appealing to look at she'll use them.  - Music - I'm still thinking something food related would be good (something small). Does she have an absolute favorite of something? - Or if you have a nice picture of you two together you can take it to any film processing place... have it blown up to a larger size... they can even do poster size... (that's the size I'd choose, but I'm tacky like that) Maybe have it turned into a black and white photo (they can do that also)... frame it... Good luck. ___________________________________________

I wanted to add regarding the picture idea above. If you have a picture of somewhere that you both have been together you could do the same.Anything that shows you pay attention to her will be good. (i.e. favorite colors, scents, flavors, etc.) Noticing little things like that about a person makes the gift more personal and shows that you put care into it. Another idea: You could purchase a really nice sachet, put "your" favorite scent inside it... she can place it in her clothing drawers and will think of you every time she puts something on.  Alright, I'm getting all sentimental and silly now.

Okay then the magnet thing is cute if it's something you share almost like a private joke between each other. But I will again say what I said and they said up above, anything that shows you pay attention to what she says or does or likes, that really flips us bully girls over the top. yes I like the picture idea but may wait till she comes here in march. since I am traveling I might not be able to fit a poster sized pic in my luggage without terrible wear and tear.part of the many small gifts idea is so I can place everything on my carry on luggage or pack it in my checked luggage and not worry - hence the books, ring, necklace, cds...no worries weather they are in checked or carry on. ps: she just got a new sweater that she is proud of..that covers her neck..ha IP: Logged |

As alluded to before, jewellery esp necklaces. I have 2nd house Tau and SN in tau and am necklace mad. Perfume, nice flowers, maybe a meal at one of the best restaurants in your local area, a good foodies tour. Tau - sooooo easy to buy for!! IP: Logged |

I have a loaded 2nd house. (All of my Scorpio placements are there).I usually just pick something out for my mom that I like (with a touch of her.. like "her" favorite color, etc). She always loves it. I did the poster thing for my Capricorn friend... I had a really great picture that I took on a mountain trail that he and I hiked this summer. It turned out nice. He loved it. I recently got my mom a bottle of Baileys with a hint of caramel. She really likes it with her coffee in the evenings. I also take her out for dinner sometimes... that's always well appreciated. Edit - Does she drink coffee? If so, does she have a favorite flavor? You could purchase a nice bag of coffee, a danish to go along with it... I like this idea... maybe we could start a thread for all the signs and get each ones opinion on what they've enjoyed/appreciated.
