Could you look it up the as Venus, say you have aphrodite in pisces could simply go to cafeastrology and look the meaning for venus in Pisces? If not how would you go about giving the asteriod meaning in your chart? edit I just had a thought if you were to use the meaning of venus for aphrodite how would you interpret venus trine aphrodite?IP: Logged |

well i'm not too sure about that, but i know from the book "Goddesses, ****** , Wives & Slaves" that Aprhodite is the greek form of the roman Venus, so I would assume yes, but whats questionable is that Aphrodite has a different position in your chart than your Venus, so, i hope we can get an expert to assist us.------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

No, Aphrodite is not the same as Venus. Aphrodite is an asteroid, while Venus is a planet. The reference to mythology is a bit confusing, because they are indeed almost the same goddesses. Venus the Latin translation of Aphrodite (well, it`s not EXACTLY the same, but very close). However, Kim Falconer gave a short description of Aphrodite on her site: "impulsive love and attraction; love inspired by fated events; animosity turning to magnetism, charisma". I guess Aphrodite conjunct AC could give a lot of charisma, but probably people are feeling a bit torn about the AC-person; either they will find her fascinating and enthralling, or they can`t stand her. In any case they wouldn`t be feeling "mediocre" about her. But of course the asteroids aren`t main stuff and still have to be investigated. DD IP: Logged |

I have noticed that a lot of playboy bunnies have aphrodite on the ASC as I started looking, I wasn't looking for Aphrodite on the ASC just wanted to see what commonality they all had and that is what I saw.IP: Logged |
