Every time I read about Neptune natally, there is a mention of how, in part, it represents illusion. But there are other associations like psychic awareness, spirituality, compassion, mysticism, sensitivity, etc. When I read about Neptune as expressed through synastry charts or composite charts, the interpretations always seem to focus on illusion. More specifically, the focus seems to be very much about two people not seeing one another for who they really are. Why is this? And are there other ways to interpret Neptune when looking at synastry or composite charts? For example, couldn't a square or opposition between Neptune and another planet simply be a hurdle that two people can consciously use to know themselves better rather than the dire warning that a couple cannot see the forest for the trees? I know that it's always up to the individuals in the relationship to make it work or not (free will) but I'm talking specifically about the interpretation itself. Love IP: Logged |

I think part of the reason why there is a jump to negative conclusions with Neptune is because it's more "ohh, ahh" ish, if you get my meaning.Fact of the matter is, Neptune is a powerful planet. I think it's especially up to the persons involved to use it wisely. Neptune can show you everything below the surface or show you nothing real at all. It's about choice and perception. I'm glad you brought this up, I've been wondering the same thing! IP: Logged |

Got to agree with Shirty. I guess Nep just gets a bad rap sometimes. I suppose it taps into the things that we don't like the most eg being lied to, deception, confusion etc. and as a result making us looking stupid. Compared to other planets with bad images, we don't mind that though - eg mars, pluto, esp in society we kind of think thats great. IP: Logged |

neptune of all the planets is symbolic of illusion, meaning it is not concerned with anything real.all other planets have a aspect in reality.so when you deal with a composite, you are looking a relationship in this time and place.therefore neptune is a force of disintergration and loss.the only real meanings i give to neptune has to due with cultural or religious differences.neptune can also indicate age differences in composites.it can be a uniting symbol if both people have a similar religious conviction.and it can be a unifying factor od sorts if both people are into the same meds/alcohol trip lol. william IP: Logged | |
