For me, my aphrodite is in libra, in my 2nd house, semi-sextile my pluto/in 3rd, saturn in 5th square aphrodite, and mercury/4th sextile aphrodite.

i guess you can say for you, eat books, its signifigant to have an aphrodite in the 8th house, since both are tied up to sex. But with it in my 2nd house beauty, sex, etc, is tied up to my values and finances

Did you guys see any connection or thoughts on interpretations?

I didn't know Aphrodite was the name of an asteroid too. Seems there's a asteroid for everything these days. In old school astrology, asteroids weren't given interpretations.

The asteroid Aphrodite in my chart is in the sign of Cancer in the first house, exactly trining the MC.

Just looked up my Aphrodite and mine is 26 Gemini 10th house. It squares my Pisces Jupiter/7th. If I include a 6 deg orb it squares my Virgo Uranus/12th and trines Aquarius Saturn/6th. I bet that orb is too wide for an asteroid, no?

I've been thinking about the Aphrodite Venus connection. Becuase aphrodite is a asteroid and not a planet perhaps the asteroid acts more like a reflection of venus. Like how you use a mirror, it shows you what you look like. Perhaps what aphordite does is show us how the superficial qulites of venus. I do remember reading that in the myth of venus/aphrodite appear as two different goddesses Aphrodite Urania, born from the foam after Cronus castrated Uranus and Aphrodite Pandemos,the common Aphrodite born from Zeus and Dione.
"In Plato's Symposium the speech of Pausanias distinguishes two manifestations of Aphrodite, represented by the two stories: Aphrodite Ourania ("heavenly" Aphrodite)a goddess of pure and spiritual love , and Aphrodite Pandemos ("Common" Aphrodite) the baser of the two goddesses, and is associated with physical satisfaction."
As well the birth of Venus myth is the same myth as of Aphrodite Ourania so it maybe by this we can say that the planet Venus is the heavenly Aphrodite and the asteroid Aphordite is the common aphrodite. And if I were to give meaning to the asteroid based on the common Aphordite I would say that the asteroid would show us:
#1 how we lust after others and how others lust after us
#2 where are jealousies lie
#3 are vanity/pride
#4 how beautiful/seductive we appear to others
#5 what your charms are
#6 frivolity and promiscuity

I think that Venus having its natural sign as Libra would give Aphrodites natural sign Taurus. But it would make sense that Aphrodite in either Libra or Taurus would give the asteroid more bang for your buck that any other sign.

I'll try and interpret my Aphrodite. I have Aphrodite in Virgo (most major aspect) conjunct AC
Now how to blend the qualities of Aphrodite with Virgo?............I'm coming up with a blank....... let me try key words see if that helps Virgo:analytical, intelligent, reserved, critical, helpful, conscientious,naive,shy,details
Soooooo this person seduces with a game of cat and mouse, plays the role of the mouse but is really the cat (seduces by getting the other person to become the seducer),

Lord I don't even know if I'm doing this right...... sigh... but this does seem to resemble me

Aphrodite conjunct AC: one thing I am publicly know for is the way I dress. I can't say I dress skanky but I tend to dress like a woman who is getting ready to seduce the pants off of the next guy who crosses her path, I tend to wear see through things, lots of silk, cleaveage reveling tops, corsets, sheer lace tops, form fitting things, fine & elegant. (although I never wear any skirts or shorts above the knee.) All leading many people to think I'm promiscuous and seducing by nature... which couldn't be farther from the truth.

Because my Aphrodite is in the 12th house and on the AC it is an aspect of myself I only let out in the form of my superficial identity, but keep well hidden in the depths of my psyche. I also think the Aphrodite in my 12th house supresses most of the qualities of the asteroid, I am ashamed of pride/vanity, frivolity and promiscuity, being charming, beautiful, seductive, lustful or jealous.
I allow others to look at me and see me that way but I do not exept these qualities in myself ,this probably stems from an subconscious fear that I will loose my self to those things so I push them away from me completely to avoid looseing control of myself and my emotions.

I'm not really promiscuious, but I do long to have noncomitted, emotionally detached sex with different men. I regret not having more such sexual experiences when I was younger. I'm highly Aquarian in my sexuality, indeed. I'm not possessive, or jealous, and I'm a grade A+ commitment-phobe. Sexually, I'm all about variety, experience, freedom, detachment from emotion and social conventions. I tend to run very hot or very cold unpredictably, and iabsolutely have to have intellectual rapport with a guy to be at all interested in him sexually. I know that doesn't sound sexy to a Taurus or Scorp, but that's what drives me.

It's intrguing that I have had a number of stalkers in my life, and more than few have been Aquas. I suspect there's a connection there. LOL.

shirty, to have aphrodite in the 5th is defeinitely signifigant, because 5th is the house of creative endevours, sexual expression, and with neptune, you can definitely use aphrodite's gifts to your advantage.

My current Aqua-Aries guy has his Venus conjunct my Aphrodite, plus his Pluto opposes, Chiron sextiles, Neptune trines, and Saturn quincunxs. Things so far are good, no weirdness, no big red flags.

Cool Cancer-Aries Guy before him: nothing significant. His Pholus conjuncts, his Aphrodite trines, and his Pysche quincunxs. His Aphrodite in Gem is conjunct my MC, and trines my NN. We had a short love affair, and mutually ended the relationship regrettably yet amicably. He still emails me from time to time to tell me he still loves me, but it's rather sweet, not a creepy stalker thing.

Dreamy Artist Pisces-Aqua Guy before that guy: His moon conjunct exact (wow cool), Ceres semi-sextiles, and Sappho squares. His Aphrodite in Scorp doesn't really aspect much in my chart - just a semi-sextile with Uranus. We had a strange, long-term, on-off, long distance relationship where he came in and out of my life at several points. Haven't heard from him for a while. Not a stalker.

The "I wanted to married you until I met your drunk mother" Cancer-Sag guy before that guy: His Venus opposes and Chiron sextiles. His Aphrodite semi-sextiles my Venus. I was really into him, then I watched his mom down two quadruple maragritas in under 30 minutes at bar one night. He was cool with me backing off, but his *Aqua* friend did start stalking me after that.

The loathsome Cancer-Cancer ex-finacee: His Saturn exact squares my Aphrodite. That figures. He suffocated me in every possible ways, but especially sexually. His Aphrodite trines my Sun-Eros conjunction and semisextiles both Pluot and Jupiter. Among the laundry list of things I hate him for, he tried to trick me into having unprotected sex with him, so I would get pregnant, which meant in his version of reality I'd *have* to marry him. And oh yeah, he was dumb enough to confess that to me. Never stalked me that I know of after I dumped him for good, but there was a lot of werid, sick stuff going on there.

I actually just lifted the key words from Salisa's interps of Aphrodite and related them to aspects in my natal chart. I'm trying to determine whether I should attribute certain traits to the asteroid or to the major aspects. Not to discount asteroids, but still, the borderlines get kind of confusing to me... I'm trying to figure it out.

For Venus opp Mars, I'd say sexual aggression? Not sure though, I just looked it up.
