OK, I admit. I'm not doing anything for New Year's. I'm staying away from drunk people, loud noises and things that could burn me tonight for a change.Anyhow, anyone want to take a guess at what Mr. Keillor's rising sign would be. he's a Leo with Gem moon. Ok, I drew up his chart with Cancer rising the house placements didn't feel right. If he was born very late in the day, he'd be a Cancer moon, which would fit his style of humor - satirical, with emphasis of the past, family, home, etc. Hmmm.... I pondered Virgo rising - I'm a Virgo rising. It doesn't fit him. He's very open, friendly and engaging. I'm leaning toward Aqua rising now - glad I have a second aye on that guess. If I sit the time for 8:45 PM, I can get Aqua rising with Cancer moon...lemme go look at the house placements...IP: Logged |

Interesting. 8:45 PM doesn't seem exact, but I think that's in the ballpark. That places a lot of his planets in the social houses, plus some 4th house placements. Gem on the IC, Sag on the MC, and Mercury on the DC. Seems kind of fitting for him, methinks. Lemme try Pisces rising next, just to check. IP: Logged |

Yeah, Aqua rising, maybe *maybe* Cap rising strikes me as most likely. That puts a lot in the right side of the chart with moon in 4th. I tried Pisce and Aries, and that shifted his planets too much into the bottom half of the chart and that doesn't strike me as right for him.Anyone else have any thoughts? yea i'm virgo rising too and he doesn't really fit that mold.um yea, actually the first thing that came to my mind was Cappy rising, then i 2nd guessed myself and thought, oh he looks...aquarian. it definitely is depending on how you look at him, but the truth will only be determined by his correct birth time. ------------------

he seems like the type of person that's chart could have an emphasis on the 9th house, 3rd house, or 6th house? i'm thinking.------------------

Aqua rising puts his Sun, Pluto, Chiron and possibly his Mercury in the 6th. Somehow that seems right to me. He is a very observant person, as you can tell from his writing. He picks up on details and twists them around. He's a hard worker too, and very good about sharing the spotlight. If you listen to his show, it seems more like he's just the master of ceremonies rather than the "star" - he does a lot of delegating centerstage with his guests and collegues on the shows.
