hi jane,
it would be best to post the composite.
the orb of the aspects is very important, that is how many degrees from being exactly 90 degrees they are.some planet that are square can be very nasty, while other squares are rarely bad.

hi jane,
the venus/sun conjunction is great for a relationship as it shows a spontaneous affection which is the best base to start with.the saturn square can be read as devotion to each other.but also can show that there with be problems to be overcome.pltuo is sextile to the saturn/neptune conjunction which can harmonize the negative aspects of the saturn.
the neptune element often brings deception into a relationship but here too the pluto can help stablize the chart.the mars /venus midpoint is opposed to jupiter.this tends to bring more joy into the relationship,it shows that in addition to the emotional/sexual attraction, there is also joy in experiencing life together.
the uranus/chiron opposition square the ascendant is the most troubling as it indicates that there could be a arguements and undue criticism and cynicism within the relationship.the uranus square the ascendant tends to indicate instabiltiy in the relationship and is not a good aspect for longterm,as the degree of freedom needed is so great that it can preclude a committed relationship.the love is very strong but so is the need for independence.

jane,

Just to add to what william mentioned, I see this as a T-square (strong energy) focused on the 11th house (friends). The result can be a sense of HAVING to be friends...close but not TOO close. And since there is also Libra (relationships) modifying an unaspected Uranus (friends) (I don't consider Uranus conjunct Pluto), the element of "friends" in this relationship is even more strongly emphasized.

Friendlily,

Tim

you two must be very exceptional people to work out the uranus/ascendant square so well.the uranus/chiron opposition square your ascendant often tears relationships apart but with a committment to truth ,as you 2 do,these aspects can give great mental and emotional intimacy.yuo seemto have overcome the negative aspect of this opposition ,congrats.
