i think i am a tightwad....not a cheapskate tho  god only knows why i have the feeling that i must starve myself, put myself thru extreme self control over wht i spend on....it makes me feel happy to think of the $1 i saved by not taking a soda with my lunch...little things like that. probably a heavy saturn influence? (saturn is quite strategically placed in my chart and aspects all my personal planets except sun)... but then i go ahead and really splurge on things....i am a sucker for brand name and looks sometimes....like i had to buy this IBM laptop for 1700 whr i cud hv got a pretty decent Dell one for around 800  yeah, just cudn't make myself do it, bcoz after i saw the sleek black beauty, dell looked like an eye sore  IP: Logged |

OH oh look at the 2nd house. My father is such a tightwad... he didn't even buy my mom a wedding ring.... she's still POed at him about that. lol
he has saturn and neptune in his 2nd house
2nd house cusps is in Virgo
his saturn semisquares his mercury
I'm the total oppisite. 2nd house cusp is in Libra and I have pluto in that house
My venus is in opposition my pluto

Im a tightwad most of the time(virgo sun), but I also can be a $pender(aries moon)....I think the spender comes from the fire influence...I always research prices before I buy, get opinions on websites, etcIP: Logged |

My mom is always on a budget. She has a ball at the flea markets, dollar and outlet stores... doesn't like to eat at gourmet restaurants... she's a Cap Sun with a Cap ASC. We'd all be starving without her supremo budgeting skillz, hah. She's generous with gifts though and loves to spoil little children. Her Moon is conj Jupiter (will that do it?)IP: Logged |

My mother's pretty tight with money...aries is on her second house cusp too. She has venus square saturn though.Me, I wouldn't say I'm completely generous...I'm pretty moderate about giving cash. Its just that my savings skill are horrible; I'm bad with money...I even have a cancer sun/virgo moon/cap asc. Maybe its my fire mars or gemini venus/5th. Aqua is on my second house cusp too. Aquarius, Virgo, Cancer influences. The tightest people I've met have Aqua Venus, Mars, or Ascendant, or Uranus in Cancer conjunct the midheaven or ascendant. Plus anyone over 50 is going to be more frugal by nature.I prefer to focus on not cheap people! For small things, fire moons, for big things water moons. Venus in Leo or in the 5th is generous. oui! i agree....i hv an aqua mars, sun/venus in cappy, cancer asc, and a venus-sq-saturn/jupt...how bad can it get i feel sorry for u guys, all of u sound like u hv been on the receiving end  but really its not tht bad to be a tightwad....as long as u know what to spend on, and are not missing out on all the good things of life...plz somebody say that they are a tightwad too...whr r all of u hiding....i'm feeling kinda lonely here....feeling slightly responsible for the misery caused u by your relatives who were like me   IP: Logged |

I have Aqua Mars on the 6H cusp, and I'm not cheap. I hate cheapness. I'm not particularly frugal either, but can get by on a tight budget, somewhat. LOL. I hate it, it depresses me, but I can do it.I even have Vensu conj Saturn. But in the 9H. LOL. I love spending money, especially for the finer things in life. I'm great at it. If it were an Olypmic sport, I'd get a medal!
And even if it's not so much spending as giving money away, like to friends or charity, I love doing that too. IP: Logged |

my mom is a huge cheapskate. she has a capricorn moon, virgo sun and scorpio asc. my father isn't much of a spender, either (he's a sag asc, cancer sun and virgo moon). they taught me to be tight with money (cap 4th house). but currently i'm tighter than i have been in a long time.. saturn opposing my venus. great. Teaologist you Mom sounds alot like me as well, I also have Jupiter conjunction Moon, whenever I have extra money I like to play Christmas Angel during the holidays. My father can be quite a tight wad, when ever he did the grocery shopping if he didn't have a coupon for it or the item wasn't on sale he wouldn't buy it(even if we really needed it). He is Sun in Libra with a Moon in Virgo and Ascendant in Capricorn(and a tight Sun conjunction Saturn aspect). Now I buy the most expense ice cream I can find because I am an adult now and I can ------------------
Sun in Libra
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
